Have a small glass of really good wine. Job done!

Dont tough that alcohol free stuff. it is poison. Angry

htbftm · 24/06/2014 16:43

I had a consultants appt today (15+6) and no attempt to feel my belly or hear a heart beat :-( Have to have a cervical scan in 2 wks to check the length, then may may need to have a cervical stitch. Anyone had a vaginal scan? Wondering if they can still see baby from 'down there' and tell us what flavour we're having a few wks early!

htbftm · 24/06/2014 16:45

someone said the alcohol free Prosecco was good - and lots say the alcohol free Kopperberg is really good!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/06/2014 16:51

Alcohol-free wine is awful. Just get Shloer. I drink alcohol-free Kopparberg ordinarily anyway, so I can attest that it tastes the same as the regular one!

espa · 24/06/2014 17:36

I ordered a single bottle of Kopparberg in my online shop - my treat on Saturday when we're out to our friends for dinner! Hope it's good!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 24/06/2014 18:19

Gah schlooor is too sweet. Not tried the proswcco but did have a glass of alcohol free red which was utter poison. I treat myself to a bitter shandy every few weeks. It's amazing and if my baby is born with FAS I will eat its first nappy!

Somersetgirl1990 · 24/06/2014 18:26

Had my appointment today and we heard the heartbeat Grin meant to have a booking in appointment but the midwife didn't get told so didn't have time, which means my 20 week scan will be much later Confused

Didn't like my new midwife at all. And turns out my most recent bloods say I'm rhesus positive whereas I've previously been told I'm rhesus negative!

PolytheneGirl · 24/06/2014 18:27

My MW told me 1-2 units once or twice a week was fine. I haven't touched any yet though, except communion which doesn't count? Confused

CatFaceCrayola · 24/06/2014 18:33

I would love a tiny tipple. Worried I'd be scowled at by society even if I just sat there with half a shandy.

PolytheneGirl · 24/06/2014 18:37

I'm pretty sure that if I did decide to have a small drink it would be in the privacy of my own home for that very reason Catface

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 24/06/2014 18:42

Sod society! Are they suffering the pregnancy of horrendousness during weather hotter than the sun! I'm a human not an incubator and I will damn well have half a bitter every two weeks if I want one! Grin
DP just bought me home a four pack of strawberry split ice creams. there is a reason I love him.

PresidentSpreadable · 24/06/2014 18:47

I'm on the Becks Blue. It's passable once you get used to it. It's a relief to drink something other than sugary fizzy drinks or soda water. Feels and tastes more grown up.

Pepsiaddict · 24/06/2014 19:20

I think officially midwives aren't meant to listen for the hb at the 16 week appointment but many of them do. I found our beans at 10+6 but was easy to feel my uterus just above the public bone so was able to accurately direct the probe.

Food aversion are improving - yay! And am on holiday at the moment so enjoying lots of ice cream.

I have a glass of wine once or twice a week. 1-2 units once or twice a week is fine. You just have to be very sure what 1-2 units is, esp as wines vary in alcohol levels.

mopsytop · 24/06/2014 19:28

(some weeks, some weeks I don't bother! but I am slightly more relaxed about it this time around)

SassehMonsta · 24/06/2014 20:00

I had some cider at a party on Sat, but only to steal it off my siblings while they weren't looking ;)

CallingAllEngels · 24/06/2014 20:47

I bought some delicious goats cheese yesterday (made from pasteurized mlik) yesterday and it was lush.

Nom nom nom.

Is anyone else getting hip/bum pain? If I walk for more than about 20 minutes my hips and coccyx start to really ache and after a rest I go completely stiff. I'm used to doing so much walking in my day-to-day life so this is really odd Confused

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 24/06/2014 21:01

God my posts are shocking when I'm on my phone, sorry!

I do understand about the society thing. I'm at college every few weekends at a field centre and there is a bar. Weekend before last when I was there it was boiling, and one day was particularly hot and long so I sat and nursed a pint of shandy all evening. Sitting outside with my friends drinking something tasty made me feel nearly normal. I chose the weakest beer and filled my glass to half a pint then gave the other half of the bottle away to one of the lads so I wasn't tempted to drink any more. I still had judgy glances and a few "should you be drinking that?" Fuck-em though. Twasnt like I was mainlining cocaine of hookers backs whilst chugging back pints of vodka!

Today I made it across town and back without incident. Came home and flea-treated the whole upstairs of the house as we seem to have an infestation and it's vile. :(

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 24/06/2014 21:04

I've had a few achy hips but put it down to weight gain (I'd lost weight to sort out hip issues!).

It seems like weeks since my last scan and it's ages till the next one so I am of course worrying that something is up. Dont have midwife 16 weeks till 18 weeks and still have two weeks to go for that. Had to change 20 week scan as it's the day of my exams so I'm having that at 19 weeks. All the timings are out!

Somersetgirl1990 · 24/06/2014 21:26

Flea infestations are the worst, we had one in a house we rented and if we put white bowls of water down (good tip) they would all jump in there but can't jump out and there would be about 30 a night in there. So disgusting! But we managed to get rid of them with just hoovering in the end Smile

Somersetgirl1990 · 24/06/2014 21:30

I bought a dream genii earlier! Will report back tomorrow morning with my verdict!

Ladylel · 24/06/2014 21:46

Random one. Nipple colours. The tip of mine seem to range for normal pink to slight purple/grey back to normal pink - not very often but now for example it's a darker pink. No pain, nothing unusual otherwise. Anyone else seeing this phenomenon ?

mopsytop · 24/06/2014 21:59

Mine went from pink to dark brown last time. Never went properly back to normal colour either since Sad
