I did thank you mademoiselle :)
I just really hope I'm past the worst of it all.

Treaclepie19 · 19/05/2014 19:53

I don't know why everything is sending twice :/ silly phone.

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 19:53

I would love a girl Poly but my mum always says if I have a girl karma is gona get me and that scares the crap out of me, lol, I was a very troublesome teen, so boys all the way Grin

PolytheneGirl · 19/05/2014 19:57

DH is terrified of a teenage daughter! I just really, reeeeaaally like the idea of a grown up daughter. I have a great relationship with my Mom now. I was a bitch of a teenager!

I'm the same with my mum now, she lives quite a bit away but we talk on the phone every day. I would love a daughter if we could fast forward the teen years Smile

fancyacupoftea · 19/05/2014 20:17

Yay congrats Sazzle! A boy! And check that picture out, it's amazing! Makes my little blob really look like a little blob.

Still can't decide if I want to find out. Can anyone help me out with the pros and cons?

PolytheneGirl · 19/05/2014 20:20

I didn't know there was a pic!

RetroHippy · 19/05/2014 20:29

Is that our first gender scan since the dragons started? Super excited for you Sazzle!

DH really doesn't want to find out, as he thinks it will spoil the surprise. I kind of wanted to, but I'll wait till the big day for him Grin guess the nursery will be neutral...

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 20:30

Oh I didn't know there was a pic either. I'm off for a wee look Smile

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 20:32

Oh yay for the scan pic, so so sweet

CallingAllEngels · 19/05/2014 20:34

Congrats sazzle - lovely pic.

Just back from scan. All good. Strong heartbeat and measured 8w so only 1 day different from my dates. Going to collapse in bed now!

PolytheneGirl · 19/05/2014 20:35

Congratulations Sazzle I bet your DS will come round to having a mini me Smile
Just back from my brother's wedding. Had an amazing weekend but tired now. Also a bit mortified with all the belly/ you're big comments as its my first pregnancy. I'm not sure if I'm actually huge or not, however the thigh rubbing an swollen cankle makes me feel maybe I am getting big?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 19/05/2014 20:39

Congrats Sazzle! Thats a lovely pic!! Grin

Glad everything went well for you too Calling!!

Fancy, I've always thought i'd want a surprise but now I'm actually pg I think I'll find out. Think we'll decide on the day. We've decided that if one of us wants the surprise on the day we'll leave it.

lindamagoo · 19/05/2014 20:42

That's fab news Calling Thanks

Treaclepie19 · 19/05/2014 20:51

Glad all is well calling :)

PolytheneGirl · 19/05/2014 21:00

Munday I'm actually looking forward to getting my "proper" bump. I actually love being pregnant! I can't wait to look pregnant and not just flabby and bloated! Envy Glad you had a nice weekend Smile

Anyone else finding that they are absolutely starving, then you start eating and after a few mouthfuls you feel full up, but then a couple of hours later you're starving again? I'm usually a big eater and this is just bizarre!

Oh, there's a picture? squeal let me grab wrestle laptop from dh.
Such great news here tonight, hurray!

I didn't want to find out for dd, but dh really did as he found it difficult to think ahead without knowing. On reflexion, I'm really pleased I did find out. A) I couldn't have coped with all the speculation and old wives tales B) there are so many girls in outer family that it gave ILs time to digest we weren't having a boy, thus avoiding the "it's a GIRL" - "a girl? Oh..." at the time of the birth and C) we got some really cute clothes Wink
Oh and of course I'm a control freak and needed to be able to "project ahead" and have the name totally nailed (which if course didn't happen). So there! But of course there are equally great arguments about NOT finding out. In fact, I might try it this time!!Shock

Starbright24 · 19/05/2014 22:10

Congrats on the scans sazzle and calling

Now..I remember when I was looked at bleach pregnancy tests never did try it once I had a bfp that there were some tests for boy and girl prediction.
Fizzy bleach for boys and bicarb for girls ..possibly. I'll have to look it up lol

fancyacupoftea · 19/05/2014 22:16

My problem is that I get really high and mighty with the whole 'pink and blue' stuff and I don't want to gender stereotype the little pickle before they're even born. Yes I know - I'm THAT person. Plus we bought new curtains and a rug for the room that will now become the nursery recently - they're duck egg blue. Not sure I want anyone saying "but you can't have blue, you're having a girl!" or "oh a blue nursery! Because it's a boy!". Even the blanket I'm knitting is mainly blue.

Think I've answered my own question here. No to finding out!

fancyacupoftea · 19/05/2014 22:18

Munday embrace the bump!

Poly hungry all the time but am so full after meals but think it's the constipation tbh. I feel like that woman in the advert who carries round that handbag of crap.

PolytheneGirl · 19/05/2014 22:46

Oh god! My symptoms obviously haven't completely gone. My cat just jumped on my lap straight after eating her supper and the smell!! Vom!

Oh dear. My light brown cm is definitely now darkish brown spotting, looking suspiciously like the start of af. :(

At 5 weeks am I right in thinking that there is nothing that I can do?

Treaclepie19 · 20/05/2014 00:27

Mrsgingerbread try not to panic, every time I've mentioned brown spotting the doctors are not concerned at all. I know it's scary xxx
