That's what I'm doing English. I think it will all quiet down in the second trimester anyway and hopefully there will be less bad news to try to fit in your head.

((((HUGS)))) speak to you all later. Night night Smile

PolytheneGirl · 28/05/2014 22:12

Haha thanks Fancy, you're a true friend!

I actually just did one and the cat gave me a riffy look. It was his who made me vom last week!

I'm so glad I can share these things with you all [mwah]

Hahahhahaha yeah the vom in hand cat trump!

Night Linda, hope you get some sleep.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 28/05/2014 22:31

Hugs all round!!

I'm an absolute fart machine at the moments, DH is disgusted!!

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 22:35

I snapped at DH because he keeps eating all my midwife-advised food that we got especially to help me through this rough patch. He therefore deserves all the farts I give him.

PolytheneGirl · 28/05/2014 22:37

DH has just gone to tesco to try to get me some peppermint tea, bless him. He's obviously fed up of my groaning and requests to wind me! Thanks for the recommendation!

I don't even know if it's pregnancy induced wind yet, but I am revelling in it Grin DH is impressed.

Admiring the girls tonight. They might be too tender to touch, but they look amazing. I'd just started to get a bit of 30-year old boob sag but now they're all full and better than ever. I feel that I need to take some secret photos to remind myself what I looked like before I stretched out. In the morning. Before breakfast and after I've done a poo.

Shame DH is still scared to DTD. Might have to jump on him sometime soon before we get out of the habit.

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 23:11

Have your nips changed yet? Pre-food post-poo is definitely the best time of day.
We've fallen out the routine. Did it once but cramps ruined it for me - both during and after. I need to get the courage to do it again. When I feel better.

RetroHippy · 28/05/2014 23:16

No nip changes yet. And I'm monitoring very closely Grin. Think I'm around 5+2 so not sure when to expect it. Spots a-plenty though.

Waiting with baited breath for the weird coloured nips, vomming and exhaustion. Bound to kick in on Monday when I'm back at school with a new house to organise Hmm

PolytheneGirl · 28/05/2014 23:42

Ok so one sip of peppermint tea and I vommed! Wasted trip for DH I'm afraid. I can't wait for the sicky stage to be over!!

Poly, so pleased to see you have an appointment finally! About time they helped!

Linda, marmite, apricot jam and cheddar cheese on toast is the way to go; it is heavenly! Marmite must go on first (not too much), followed by apricot jam, then thin slices of cheddar. Grated does not work for some reason. This combination, along with shreddies, raisins and lots of milk has got me through many a day in the last 11 weeks of nausea! (I frequently ate the combo pre pregnancy too though, it is yummy!).

RetroHippy · 29/05/2014 07:04

Sad poly, I drink peppermint tea regularly (3+ mugs a day) so SIL keeps some at her house for me. When she was pg her sense of smell was so sensitive she had to put them in a jar with a sealed lid or she'd barf at the smell.

Hope the gas sorted itself!

lindamagoo · 29/05/2014 08:00

Barmy that combo on toast sounds fab, think I'll defo be trying that Smile

I was up and down all night checking for blood and I'm pleased to say there wasn't even the slightest bit all night, I'm so relieved Smile Feeling a lot more positive now

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 08:12

I can also recommend marmite and peanut butter on toast!!

linda did you say you had an appointment to check it out this morning? Really pleased there was no more bleeding.

Sorry you vommed poly! I had at least 3 cups a day of peppermint too but the past 2 days the thought of it makes me feel sick. Which is odd because they recommend it for nausea!

barmybunting · 29/05/2014 08:13

That's brilliant to hear you had no more bleeding overnight Linda! Take it easy and look after yourself. Hopefully all is well now.

lindamagoo · 29/05/2014 08:20

I'm so desperate to go for the shopping tomorrow now, will be gutted if I don't like marmite, lol.

I was only to get a scan if the bleeding got heavier overnight. Will still phone on the off chance they will still do it to put my mind at ease

MelMc73 · 29/05/2014 08:23

That's good news linda! I'm wiped out today. Working at home but still in jammies lol. Lots if wind here too poly and fancy! Dh keeps giving me funny looks. I think he's jealous as he us the fart champion in our house! He did give mw a longer lie this morning and took ds to school.
Not had marmite for ages. Must dig it out cupboard!

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 08:31

Hope they say yes linda!

Getting ready to go into school for revision. Could think of better things to do today. Like lie in bed.

Zermatt · 29/05/2014 08:32

So glad you got your appointment at last poly and that you had a good night Linda

I was sick the other day when I had peppermint tea, weird as I too thought it'd be a tummy soother.

I'm having a really bad week to be honest, not sleeping, seem to have hit a nausea peak (honestly have never felt as sick as I did yesterday evening), have the skin of a fast food addicted 14 year old, lank hair, emotional, seem to be crying at the literal drop of a hat, and work is crazy so as much as I'd liked to have called in sick, just haven't been able to. It is a magical time :)

fancyacupoftea · 29/05/2014 08:42

Oh no sorry Zermatt. Fingers crossed that was the worst of it and it's all going to get better from now on!
Has anyone seen that thread that was recommended on the right hand side of 'popular topics' that was 'did you enjoy pregnancy?' Everyone said how they loved it despite the sickness. I'm guessing things get better then?!

Zermatt · 29/05/2014 08:45

They better do....I hope they do. I keep holding on for the 2nd trimester, I think things generally can start to pick up from wk 14 onwards, I canae wait. I miss enjoying my food, it's a big part of my life :(

lindamagoo · 29/05/2014 08:59

Things do get better ladies, I'd say anything from 12 to 14 weeks was the turning point for me the last twice, the sickness might ease off before then though then your tummy will settle and you will be less tired with more energy Smile and start enjoying it more, until you are too big to move, lol Grin

Zermatt · 29/05/2014 09:05

I've lost 3kgs, so I'm looking forward to getting my nom nom back on as I have a little room to work with :)

I am snuggled under a blanket on the sofa, anyone got any good duvet day type movies they recommend for me to download? I might get Philomena, heard its a weepy, which sounds perfect.
