MrsG hopefully after you get the first day back at work out of the way things will get easier, emotionally I think you ladies who have been through so much are a lot stronger than you give yourselves credit for, I take my hat off to you all. Things will get easier for you, it'll just take a little time Thanks

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 17:16

Oh god Poly I boaked just at the thought of that, lol, took me all my strength not to throw up on a very short taxi run yesterday, lol

spinningirl10 · 26/05/2014 17:33

Hi ladies, just popping on from the May/June conception bus to stalk you all Grin

Love the name chat, really like Florence and Lily for girls.
I like James for a boy but we have a James in the family and anyway Dp had already chosen the name Noah for a boy.....and I'm not even pregnantGrin
Linda, you can have 3 boys with J names Grin

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 17:46

I LOVE Noah! DH wasn't keen when I wanted it for DS1 and our friends have called their boy Noah. So unfortunately it's a no go for Noah again!

Gagh! Got to ring the hospital again tomorrow and I know I'm going to lose my head! Do you think if I audibly sob on the phone it will help? Because it's probably going to happen!

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 18:35

DO NOT come off that phone without an app Poly, cry your bloody eyes out if that's what it takes

MademoiselleG · 26/05/2014 19:19

I really like clementine for a girl, or Mathilde? I've taught a few and they were all lovely.
Boys...mmmmh...maybe Alexander? Or George? Too boring? Have a few French options in mind too but they would be really hard to pronounce in English. Not sure if it's fair to give dc#2 such a 'handicap' from the onset?

Poly: howl and cry!! And def go there if nothing else works!!

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 19:57

I'll let you all know how I get on and exactly how much sobbing goes on! I wouldn't want to be that woman if I get nowhere as DH will be on the war path!

So my gorgeous little 4 year old just asked me "mummy will you need to get things to put around your arms?" Me "I don't know what you mean son!" Him "To help you up when you get too fat" haha. I almost wet myself laughing, he clearly remembers the struggle I had with my size last time round Grin

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 20:52

Lol Linda. I hope I don't have that trouble. Mind you I just got really out of breath climbing the stairs and had to have a sit on the bed. I'm usually a run up the stairs kind if person. I can't be getting that unfit already can I? I'm sure I read something somewhere about blood volume or something.

Lol Poly, it's hard work this baby making malarkey, lol. Tires you right out. I was MASSIVE the last time cause of the polyhydramnious (extra fluid) but it made the bump solid aswell so I could hardly move and I measured full term by the time I was 32 weeks, poor ds wasn't even 2 yet and had to help put my socks and shoes on, lol

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 21:12

Aw bless him. I bet you were like a weeble man. Are you likely to have the same trouble again?

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 21:16

Lol my mum said I looked like Humpty Dumpty Grin I don't know the risks of it happening again but the midwife said when I get my 12 week scan I'll get to talk to a specialist about it, hopefully it won't happen again though, was the scariest thing I've ever went through

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 21:19

Is it risky then? I'll have to do some reading up. My friend had the opposite and had a very prem baby.

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 21:25

Yeah the baby can be badly effected, mental and physical problems, but we were really lucky, he was born with hypothermia, fluid on his lungs and a heart murmur, in neonatal for only a few days then he was totally fine, no problems at all Smile But the not knowing what would happen before he was born was awful, I imagined all sorts Hmm

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 21:34

I know that fear too well. Because of my diabetes my babies are at increased risk of birth defects. This was made worse as DS was unplanned and my diabetes was not under control at time of conception. On top of that I was forced to have a cs at 36wks. I was terrified! He had a tiny waft of oxygen and all was well! I thank God everyday!

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 21:40

They truly are amazing little people, surprise you every single day from before they are even born. I'm still amazed by the fact I should never have been able to have kids and now I'm carrying my 3rd, still gives me goosebumps, lol

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 21:41

Will you have a cs again this time? Or will you hopefully deliver normal?

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 21:44

I'm not sure but apparently 80% of diabetics have CSs so probably. Hopefully they'll let me go full term though. Fx

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 21:50

Aw I hope they do let you, it must be worrying having them early.

Zermatt · 27/05/2014 06:08

Congrats and welcome Flirty!

Love the name Hiro polythene that's a good suggestion. Good luck today in making your appointment with the hospital, don't take no for an answer it's disgusting how you have been treated.

I'm 10 wks today I think, although EDD keeps jumping about!

DH likes the names Naomi and Hannah as both are also Japanese names, but I'm a bit underwhelmed by them.

I like Haruki for a boy which could be Harry/Harri for short, but mentioned it to my friend back home (who is a teacher) and she said it's like the most popular boys name in UK at the mo and she etches a squillion of them. Not sure if this bothers me though, as surely when we were growing up there were loads of John's, James', Mike, David, Becky, Kate's, Laura's etc, why do I have to call him Marmaduke Moonshine just to be original?

RetroHippy · 27/05/2014 07:06

I had late night KFC yesterday after going to the cinema with DH. It stopped me waking up wanting to eat my own arm I'm that hungry! Evidently 10pm snacking is the way to go Grin

Going bra shopping today. 5 weeks and my boobs have started hurting sometimes when I'm just sitting still. I'm having to hug a spare pillow when I sleep to stop myself rolling over and bashing them! Seems to have intensified to a sharp pain under the nipple today as well as an all over 'punched in the boob' feeling. I actually quite like having a tangible sign that I'm pg, I'd be happy to keep the boob pain and pass on the ms!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 27/05/2014 07:44

Welcome on board Flirty!!

Had a very vivid dream that I was breast feeding a baby boy, who projectile vomited every where! I suppose we have all that to look forward to!

Zermatt · 27/05/2014 07:47

Vivid Preggo dreams are the best :)

Never mind about the vomit, I keep thinking about all the poo, don't know why, I just do. (That was a poem)

barmybunting · 27/05/2014 08:08

Hi everyone, I thought it was time to pop in again and say hello as I have been buried under report writing for school for a week or so and decided it is time for a break today! Thankfully on half term at the moment. How are you all?

Congratulations Flirty! Try not to worry about the spotting, hard when you have had a MC before but it is a good sign that you feel different this time. I had spotting from before my BFP to around 9 weeks, varying from brown and pink to gushes of red. I am now 16 weeks with a happy little wriggler and have no signs of any problems from the bleeding. If it continues for a week or two, mention it to the doc to see if they will give you an early scan perhaps? Hopefully it will disappear soon though!

Lovely to see name ideas Smile. I love names but DH is a slow up taker on my ideas! I love Clara, Liliian or Susannah for a girl and have for years. We are finding boys harder, we both like Oliver but I am concerned it is just too popular! Otherwise Thomas, William or Isaac are high on my list. I am finding it hard to find names which aren't influenced by the children I have taught!
