I'm really going to struggle with boys names this time as all the names I like start with J, Jude and Jacob especially but we can have 3 boys with J names (can we?)

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 10:11

Broody go with the date from your lmp for now but Retro is right, the dates will change when you get your scan, they pretty much always do

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 10:12

That's was meant to say we can't have 3 boys with J names

EnglishGirlsReturned · 26/05/2014 10:13

Jeebus!! Haha!! I have no idea of any Japanese names Zermatt so can't offer any help there! Glad you saw blobbys heartbeat Smile

You can def have 3 J names linda, in fact a boy might feel left out to not be J name....Hmm

broodysnoopstie · 26/05/2014 10:14

Thanks linda & retro one of my best friends is one of 3 2 boys and a girl. All their names begin with j x

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 10:36

I think I'm outnumbered on the name front though, ds1 said he wants to call the baby Kian and oh agrees, so we will see

sazzlehopes · 26/05/2014 11:44

This name chat is great! It is nice now I know I have a boy to halve my thinking! For girls names I liked Ada, Robin, Kitty, Nia and Freya. But now of course it is just boys to think about!!

MademoiselleG · 26/05/2014 11:56

Heehee one of the names you guys like is my name Wink great choice, parents!

I'm also stuck for boys' names. And in the same predicament re:being a teacher and having awful experiences with certain names...some kids have ruined some names for me! Girls' names are so much easier...I always try to picture the name on a CV and for boys, it always feels that anything but super classic and boring will do...?

toots123 · 26/05/2014 13:40

Good morning from sunny USA!! (Its morning here!)
welcome to the new peeps! :)

loving the name chat. Im a plain girl and have always loved Daniel and girls names I like are Cate and Lily. Dh likes Rory but I like the unusual spelling version better which is pronounced roory (lol)

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 13:45

Have any of you lovely ladies been weighing yourselves? I gained loads of weight during my last 2 pregnancies due to developing and underactive thyroid in the 1st then polyhydramnious in the 2nd, terrified of gaining loads again now but not sure what the normal/average gain is

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 13:46

I love Lily Smile wish it was sunny here, started raining not even 15 minutes ago and my back garden is flooded, bloody drains are blocked

EnglishGirlsReturned · 26/05/2014 13:47

I daren't step on the scales Linda - I'd put on a bit of weight before the pg and don't really want to know now!

sazzlehopes · 26/05/2014 14:08

We don't have scales in the house so i'll wait til my next midwife appointment to see what the damage is!

It's so wet here too....

Lily is really nice.
Boys names I like Ned, ernest, rufus, otto and huxley

Boys I like of friends babies that I can't use are Luca, Mylo, Theo, Luey and Fred.

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 14:12

Think I'll stay away from the scales aswell then Smile

I love Milo for a boy but we called our cat Milo when we thought we couldn't have kids, the little bugger ran away though Hmm

flirty30s · 26/05/2014 14:32

Ok it's been 3 days since I got my BFP so I'm hoping its safe enough to join my penis dragon grads?? I've been spotting brown since last Sunday so am very worried but my line is getting stronger every day. EDD is 30th Jan or 2nd Feb. I prefer saying end of Jan because its closer but I know it'll prob end up a lot later.

Has anyone else had spotting after their BFP or after their AF was due?
I had spotting the last time that ended in mc but things feel different this time I'm telling myself

flirty30s · 26/05/2014 14:34

Ps massive congrats fancy I saw you on the may thread but couldn't see your stats, didnt know it was because you were preggers! Congratulations Grin

flirty30s · 26/05/2014 14:36

Ps love all those names sazzle esp Luca! Can anyone tell I'm supposed to be doing work right now, hence 3 posts in a row...

sazzlehopes · 26/05/2014 14:54

Ha me too - despite it being bank holiday for most I'm avoiding work too!
Congrats on your bfp flirty. I know lots of women on here that had spotting early on and randomly throughout pregnancy. I think the general advice is as long as it isn't red and accompanied by pain you are ok!

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 15:00

I'm going to completely spoil Murren for you now but it sounds awful in a brummie accent! I'm sure it sounds lovely everywhere else buy we have a terrible habit of turning 'en' into 'un'. I do however know a Maren which I think is nice even in a brummie accent

I've heard of Seren

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 15:14

Zermatt how about Hiro for a boy? I'm clutching at straws for a Japanese name!

Linda I'm not doing too badly thank you. I still feel fragile emotionally and I am secretly dreading going back to work tomorrow in case lots of people ask questions. :(

I have anemia so I am planning a trip to the doctors this week to get my iron levels checked. Anything else in particular you guys think I should be asking about?

MlleG Not sure if we have picked a name you like or your actual name - either way there are some lovely names there, you all have great taste. :)

Treaclepie19 · 26/05/2014 16:50

Hold in there mrsg, I'm dreading going back to work and I don't have to til next Monday.

Congrats seeing the heartbeat zermatt :)

Loving all the name talk. We have only got a girls name. I love Rory for a boy also but DH isn't so sure and Kian.

PolytheneGirl · 26/05/2014 17:10

I've just realised that in 2 weeks we are going to DH's Nan's 80th birthday party. And it's a riverboat shuffle. Boak!! I hope my ms has cleared up by then!
