Lol Chinese - I hope the toddler meltdown stops soon and you can get on with your day.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/05/2014 10:11

Boobs are more tender today! Keep groping myself!! Brown discharge is getting lighter.... It s more kind of tan colour. Sorry TMI!! Calming down a bit, but will be glad to see gp on tuesday!
Sorry some of you are having hectic mornings! I'm busy directing DH as to what box goes where, our apartment looks like it's imploded!! Moving day tomorrow!!! Grin

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 10:26

Wow English moving days has came round quick hasn't it? I hope it all goes smoothly and stress free Smile

tams1uk · 15/05/2014 10:36

morning all

Well, first day feeling a little queasy while eating my porridge - suppose I should be thankful for feeling ill, makes it seem a little more real, as I really am still in a state of disbelief (excited disbelief though!!!)

Sorry to hear some of you are having bad mornings - really hope the day improves.

Good luck with the move English

Please could someone add my stats to the sheet? I can open it on my pc, but won't let me edit for some reason. My details are:

Hanquoi
so glad you found it & joined. Plenty more on this thread than the other one. I am also still in shock and not having very many symptoms apart from moments of feeling sick, loss of appetite and very, very sore breasts.

Scoops
Thinking of you today and fingers crossed for you!!

mademoiselle
good luck also for today with your scan and hope you have a good day with your colleague!! Bitch! Your husbands thoughts made me laugh so much and oh so true!!

Tams
Also in same position. I was having bad cramps and because of health I had an early scan. One of our local nhs hospitals also does a self referral so that's how I got mine. Was 5 weeks and 4 days. Saw the sack and egg yolk and all looked very good and positive. Crazy to think that just a few days to a week later that there is a possibility you can see the baby and a heart beat too. If you do I would wait a few more weeks to see more.

fancyacupoftea
Thanks so so much for adding me to the just. That's fine re CS. Just thought could have maybe spoken to other mums that may also have or have had previously. Sure is getting a long list making it all so much more exciting and fab that we can all share on here together.

rumisyum
What a lovely way for your mum too!! Such a special way. Good luck for when you have your scan.

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 11:03

Em I had an emergency section with ds2 and I'm planning on asking for a section again this time due to having a prolapse repair in October, think a natural birth would cause me more problems

Em03 · 15/05/2014 11:10

Lindamagoo

Wow. Thanks so much. Yes that is exactly why I need a CS. At least this one will hopefully be planned for you. Could imagine makes a real difference from an emergency to a planned one. I have a prolapsed bowel and bladder and a whole other load of problems. Had big surgery 3 years ago and was told there could be a possibility I would never be able to have a baby. Looks like it will be just the one though as I need another big op to repair again once I've had the baby. Have you also been placed as high risk?

So so lovely to speak to someone with the same/similar problems. Thanks so so much!

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 11:18

Oh Em you sound like you've had more trouble with your body than me, they said I had a bowel and bladder prolapse but when I had the surgery the surgeon said my bladder was fine so the op wasn't as bad as I'd expected and she was shocked that I asked to stay awake for the op (had a spinal). I forgot to tell my mw about the op but she's coming to my house on June 26th so I'll tell her then, I have an underactive thyroid and I had Polyhydramnious in my last pregnancy so I'll probably have extra appointments anyway but hope not to be on high risk, unless the Poly happens again

MelMc73 · 15/05/2014 11:24

lindamagoo and Em I had an emergency section with my DS. Developed pre-eclampsia when I went into labour, then distressed baby so they had to get him out......only took 36 hours start to finish!!! I intend on investigating a planned section this time as well!

Just been investigating an early scan.........

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 11:34

Mel 36 hours? You must have been terrified? Because of the extra fluid I had when my waters broke they poured out for ages and the baby's heart rate dropped so they had to get him out fast, poor wee man was born with hypothermia, fluid on both lungs and a heart murmur, started his wee life in neonatal, this might sound strange but I was relieved at that! Reason being that we'd been advised that Polyhydramnious can cause mental and/or physical disabilities and he didn't have any of that and no lasting effects from his traumatic birth Smile

Em03 · 15/05/2014 11:53

Lindamagoo

Wow! I am so glad your DS is well and can understand completely why you were relived. Really hope you don't suffer with the same this time. Well done with your spinal too for your op. Couldn't have imagined that. My previous op lasted for 12 weeks then all came back. Also told before I had my op that when I did have a baby it would have to be a CS due to the mesh and wires I have. Defo mention it to your MW and I am sure you would also get it.

Mel you should also be able to have one. Must have been terrible after trying for all that time during your last labour! Fingers crossed for you both. FYI I had my early scan through my local hospital. They have a self referral unit and got mine done on Tuesday on the NHS. Quite a few near me in London have them.

Just so reassuring to speak to you both who have also had this previously and maybe again. I just need to decide now which hospital to go with so I can get my booking in and care all started. Just don't know where to go!

Saraswati · 15/05/2014 11:58

Hi all, welcome newbies who have just joined us and good luck to all those having scans/moving house today, gosh we are a busy bunch!

Am all officially booked in with the mw now. She was lovely and I get to see her throughout my pregnancy and after birth so feel really reassured and positive. I've got to be referred to a consultant because of a pre existing condition but this shouldn't effect pregnancy in anyway so she said it's just a formality and I probably won't even need an appointment.

Booked into the mw led birth centre at my local hospital which sounds really nice but is next door to delivery suite if anything goes wrong. She said I'd be a perfect candidate for a lovely water birth with no painkillers :o (I'm allergic to codeine so already worried about painkillers!) She told me my downs risk is already really low because of my age but will opt for screening just to check. I can ring the hospital in a week to book my scan and already have booked my 16 week appointment with the midwife!!

I feel weirdly officially pregnant now! Fingers crossed that my little bean is Ok in there and it all goes well!

Also for the other veggie/vegan preggos on here she said her veggie mums are usually the healthiest ladies she sees as we pay more attention to what we eat and usually exercise more too, so she likes to see a veggie! Definite no to going back to hot yoga though :(

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 12:05

Em I read all about the mesh and stuff for the op, was so glad I didn't have to get it. I hope things don't get any worse during pregnancy. I only had the spinal cause I'm terrified of getting put to sleep, convinced that's how I'm going to meet my maker, lol

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 12:07

Sara I had a dream I had a lovely water birth last night, so wish I could have that Smile I'm allergic to most pain relief but found the gas and air with ds1 to be really good, really took the edge off of the contractions

cheshirem2b · 15/05/2014 12:15

Oh my goodness, I am completely freaking out.
I just went to the toilet in work and my discharge is brownish in colour - no red/fresh blood but I am totally freaking out.
I'm going to see mw tomorrow for my booking in apt but really don't want this to be the end! Am I panicking for no reason? Is there anything I can do?
Thanks ladies!

DDMB · 15/05/2014 12:22

Hi ladies, I also had an emergency c-sec with dd, after 24hrs and getting to 9 and half cm, she was back to back and has a large (but normal) head. I lost 1.7 litres of blood so think I'm going to try to get a planned one this time, all being well anyway. I just can't face that again, nor can dh.

sleepisforthetired · 15/05/2014 12:34

Em, Linda, Mel* - I will be asking for a CS also. DS was a cat 1, so not messing about this time.

I can't fault the care given from realising it was needed by the midwife, to the delivery - 34 minutes from midwife pushing the alarm, to the actual birth. That included transfer, spinal block and being shown his little bum (way he was shown over the curtain!)

CS itself was fine, and the healing after but knowing what I do about my bodys inability to behave, I would rather have it organised from "day 1".

If I could have my own way, it would be done before 38 weeks - but having read up on it, this is very unlikely (and there is no reason to suspect this baby could have the same issues).

English Sounds good - happy travels! Did you say where in UK you are going/going back to?

Sara very exciting! I have GP on Monday. As it is a new practise, I am not sure of the procedure - so assume my booking in will be after that.

Complete madness I am sure - but have saved my last (non used) pregnancy test for Monday so I can test before hand to ensure appointment is needed! Am 7 weeks tomorrow apparently, so not sure if all a bit silly on my behalf!!

Chinese my DS was swapped places with Satan on Monday - really not sure why he was so awful (tears, defiant etc). Woke up Tuesday back to normal, wonderful self. Hope you got to work ok, and its not bothering you to much as horrible when you leave them unhappy.

Scoops hope all went ok?

Guess this is a bit to long so leave you it here I recon' Grin

sleepisforthetired · 15/05/2014 12:37

Cheshire sorry, crosspost - call GP? That's what I did when I had a bleed with DS. I was about 6 weeks and it was bright red. He was fine, so does not always mean the worst.

I would contact the GP's or MW (depending on what the procedure is for your area).

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 12:58

Cheshire try not to panic, from everything I've read on other threads there's nothing much to worry about brown spotting but if I was you I'd phone mw for reassurance

RPopz · 15/05/2014 13:05

I had brown discharge v early after my bfp - its leftovers from implantation bleeding apparently x

rumisyum · 15/05/2014 13:13

Sorry about the worry, cheshire. Hope you can be reassured and that all is OK.

Good luck with the house move English! So exciting.

Saras, and others who are already booked in, that official feeling must be lovely. Smile

I've had the most intense, awful wave of anxiety take hold of me all morning. It's finally eased off, but bloody hell. These hormones are no joke! I feel knackered now. I need to get on with the work I couldn't quite manage because I was too busy feeling like I was imploding, but I'm quite ready for a cup of tea & a sit down!
