Yay for all the scans today - and good luck for the ones tomorrow.

The way they do things in my new area is I have to wait for scan appointment by post. I "should" get an appointment with the hospital midwife 8-10 weeks, so will give till 31st and then call up and ask the hospital directly.

Care will be split over two hospitals, which is annoying as I chose the one nearer work for convenience, but hey ho - serves me right for trying to plan!

MS here with vengeance. I think its karma as hardly felt nauseous with DS. Even popped my "vomit at work cherry". luckily people believe I have managed to give myself food poisoning from a micro meal, which shows what they think of me! Grin

Suzu - did you realise your full name and location shows on the scan? Its lovely and I clicked to make the image larger as looks similar to my scan with DS all those years ago (was reminiscing as hopefully will not need an early scan this time). Thought I would mention in case you want to crop it or something :)

sleepisforthetired · 21/05/2014 17:27

Gingy not sure on phone but on pc has attachment options near where you would normally post a message

Starbright24 · 21/05/2014 17:50

Lovely little heart beats Smile congratulations all.

DEFINATELY feeling pukey. But I don't reckommend sugar free polos - that was a mistake, just feel really bloated now. I think today was my last day of wearing my normal trousers at work as the button has been undone all day. Leggings time.

Can someone add my location to the list as I can't. Thanks - I'm in west yorks. Not sure if age is on there. 38 if it isn't.

Frances79FirstTime · 21/05/2014 18:01

So just got out of my first appt with GP. He was majorly attractive, which threw me lol (thanks to hubby for making the appt!)

He was lovely though, said he would date the day of me coming off cerazette as the date pregnant from as doesn't have LMP to go by, so guessed about 7 weeks. Had a feel of my stomach in case it was much more but couldn't feel anything yet.

All feels real now and now have to wait for midwife to get in touch, which will hopefully be soon! On the plus side Dr Hot said that because of my dodgy heart he would like me to go and see him about once a month as antenatal apptd are often rushed and don't look after Mums as much as I need. Loving this pregnancy thing ha ha.

Starbright24 · 21/05/2014 18:12

Haha frances. Nice to have a bit of totty to ogle!!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 21/05/2014 18:30

Frances- lucky you! :) this will be your reason to maintain glamorous throughout ;) well atleast for one day a week, haha.

Sorry to hear all the ladies suffering from ms :( min has somewhat dissipated, but sore boobs are back with a vengeance!

Glenpip77 · 21/05/2014 18:33

Great news on all the scans - lovely to hear about all those health little heartbeats.

Hope those with ms are not feeling too rough today.

We've had a bit of a rollercosster couple of days with bleeding and cramps - EPU scan tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed.

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 18:38

Good luck for tomorrow Glenpip, I hope the nurses at epu are lovely to you. It's a worrying time but I hope it has a positive outcome x

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 18:40

Monthly appointments with Dr Hot Frances? Poor you :) hehe

Loobyloo893 · 21/05/2014 18:47

Fingers crossed for all the scans tomorrow.
We told my mum today. She was so excited and completely not expecting it as hadn't told her we were ttc. She was convinced we didn't want another DC. Made it feel a bit more real but kind of scary cos someone else is getting their hopes up too.

LulusMiniEgg · 21/05/2014 18:52

Wow congrats to all the ladies with their hb's and welcome to all the newbies!

I had quite a bit of red spotting this morning so called the doctor who advised me to go to my hospital epu. I wasn't terribly concerned as I didn't feel really crampy but when the doctor tells you to go...

So off I went, missed the opening hours by 10 mins but managed to get seen and saw my little baby! My goodness, it's amazing! Didn't cry then but did well up a little on the tube back to work once it had sunk in. It's teeny heart beating away looked so happy! Is it possible to love a blob?!

cheshirem2b · 21/05/2014 18:57

lulu I completely know what you mean! DH said to me "I don't know how but I love our little smudge" (smudge is the nickname since the scan!) and that reaction did it for me... Happy tears!

I had to pull over on the way to work today as I was about yo be sick... Wasn't sick but v close! Hello ms! Came from nowhere!
Now on sofa feeling v tired... Sending DH to takeaway got dinner... Can't face cooking! I'm on call for work tonight so hoping not to be called out! Zzzz!

MademoiselleG · 21/05/2014 19:01

So we have 3 scans tomorrow? Good luck Monstamio , Glenpip and English, how very exciting! I am keeping everything crossed for you all. This IS a lucky bus Grin

I've attached my scan picture from last week - I just really want to go every week now!

And Frances, gosh, can't believe you have Dr McDreamy...you lucky thing! Mine is very nice but certainly not quite so generous on the looks front...

LulusMiniEgg · 21/05/2014 19:53

keepon your time will be here soon!

Good luck to all the ladies with scans tomorrow. Sure all will be fine x

Right I'm off to do my second job (I write craft books in my spare time when I'm not at my real job!) making the most of not feeling hideously tired. It's hard work but will help top up my maternity pay xxx

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 20:05

Good luck everyone with scans tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you all x

I'm heading to bed with my kindle again shortly as the rage still hasn't left me and I'm bloody shattered again Hmm

fancyacupoftea · 21/05/2014 20:17

Evening everyone
Sitting on the sofa with cramp on my rhs, hoping all is fine.
Really pleased to see all the excellent scan news! Mine was only on Friday but already feels like ages ago.
The stats are looking good! Wondering if because of all the early scans we should have a separate 12 week scan column. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yUEBQdWfbxfipSJG8KGGtdHRpehTnptf5byxCdjFYRE/edit?usp=sharing

Good luck to all those with scans tomorrow. Sending you all lots of positive vibes.

I've had a completely shit day (not pregnancy related) found out one of DHs best friends has an aggressive brain tumour, may not live long, he has a lovely wife and two young children. My dad died when I was very young and I just can't bear to see another family I love go through what mine did. Have been switching between sobbing and throwing up all afternoon. DH is devastated of course and nothing I can do to make him feel better.

Sorry for self indulgent post!

Ladies, hug your DHs tonight and send some loving thoughts to your growing beans. I'm off to bed to have a little chat with my bean and tell her she's got to hang on in there because we need her x

Monstamio · 21/05/2014 20:24

That sounds like a plan Linda. I might join you (er... figuratively speaking. I'm not about to appear at your window, promise! Grin)

Thanks for all the well wishes, and best of luck Glenpip too.

I must log on using my computer at some point... I'm missing seeing all these lovely pictures.

Monstamio · 21/05/2014 20:32

Oh shoot, cross post. I'm so so sorry to hear that Saraswati. Utterly shit for you all Sad . Such devastating news, but miracles can happen so try to stay positive if you can. My dad was given three months to live 2.5 years ago and is still soldiering on (different circumstances) so things might turn around.

Thinking of you Flowers

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 21/05/2014 20:41

saras awful news :( so sorry.

What sort of craft books lulu ? wow, you must be super disciplined!

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 20:42

Oh Saraswati that's awful news. Lots of love to you.

On the symptom spotting front I can officially say Duh duh duuuuuuh I have sore boobs. Hooray! We must all have different tolerances for the pregnancy hormones eh?

6 weeks today by my dates. This last week has flown thanks to this thread, it's so nice to have each other for support in good times and bad. Tooth if you are reading, I'm thinking of you, and all the others having a hard time x

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 20:43

saras I'm so sorry to hear that Thanks

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 20:45

Lol Monstamio, as much as I love you ladies I'm not ready for sharing my bed with you Grin

LulusMiniEgg · 21/05/2014 20:48

Keepon I have a few out already (mostly kids crafts), got 1 due out in July and working on one for next spring at the moment. Revealing my true identity here but don't really mind!x
