lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 08:37

Good luck with your scans today ladies Thanks

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/05/2014 09:16

Making the most of not being at work at the moment. Still in bed! But do feel a bit pukey. That hungry kind of nausea...is that ms or me just being hungry?
Also weird question but I've never had a scan before, how much water constitutes for a full bladder?? My scans at 9 tomorrow, but I will HAVE to have a wee when I get up!

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 09:30

English I only drank a bottle of volvic on the way to my scan and the nurse said my bladder was nice and full

suzu1982 · 21/05/2014 10:20

just got back from epu and everything is fine! saw the heartbeat and dh started crying :) now i'm going back to bed, cos for some reason i didn't get much sleep last night. good luck to everyone else having a scan today!

Frances79FirstTime · 21/05/2014 10:22

Why on earth did I wish for ms to arrive to make it feel more real?! Couldn't eat my lunch yesterday (falafel made me retch at the thought!) although did crave - like I would die if I didn't have it - treacle sponge pudding and custard and gobbled one down last night!

I haven't actually been sick but just don't feel "right", feel like every smell is offensive and most weirdly feel like I am having to swallow all the time to keep myself from being sick. My husband's colleague was sick at her desk when she was suffering from ms - all over her computer - so I am hoping nothing comes over me in quite such a brutal way!

Good luck with everyone having scans today.

I have my first GP appointment at 5 today to get in "the system". Feel I am lagging a bit behind everyone else in terms of getting sorted, but hopefully it will all kick off quite quickly now.

Frances79FirstTime · 21/05/2014 10:23

Great news Suzu - you must be so relieved. Reckon you will sleep well now! x

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 10:27

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/05/2014 10:46

BTW I've added a 'location' column on the stat sheet, be nice to see of any of us are local and can offer advice as to local services etc.

Great news on all the heartbeats :)

tooth are you ok?

I had my drs appointment on Monday 5+5 and he said he wouls have a word with the midwife about having an early dating scan. So I booked in but the first available date was a week on Monday 2nd June. Seems ages away but I'm happy to be in the system and I'll be closer to 8 weeks then if all goes well.

Dr didn't seem worried that I don't have many symptoms yet, other than occasional nausea, bloating. My boobs seem fine although I have a more impressive cleavage right now :) I think with DS1 I only got nausea bad from 7/8 weeks and no actual sickness until 14 weeks. I really feel for all of you that have already got it, I hope it passes soon for you.

Saraswati · 21/05/2014 11:56

Yey suzu!!!

Can't wait for my scan, only 10 days left to wait and it's going so slowly. Still being sick but boobs less sore and I'm a bit crampy today, which of course I'm obsessing over.

Can someone add me to the list please? I can't do it on my iPad

Age: 28
DC1
EDD: 30/12/14
Location: Berkshire

Going to ring and try to book my 12 week scan today eek!

Also weird question, ladies with DCs maybe able to answer, I know your uterus doesn't rise until 12 weeks but I am definitely starting to feel something just a couple of finger widths above my pubic bone. It's hard and round and not sure if it's bladder or uterus, would I really be able to feel my uterus this early? I'm quite slim, but by no means a stick insect (bmi is usually 21 so normal range but less than that now since I've lost weight from ms!!) maybe I'm just imagining it? I often feel like I've imagined myself pregnant!!

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 12:03

I think if you are slim there is every chance you can feel it now Sara I remember at my 12w scan with ds1 mine was half way up to my navel!

lindamagoo · 21/05/2014 12:07

Yay that's fab news Madri Smile

I'm in Glenrothes, lived in Kirkcaldy for a couple of years but spent most of my life in Glenrothes

Saraswati · 21/05/2014 12:09

Yey for madrigalstoo!

Thanks minibagel I think I might be right which is weird/exciting at the same time! I also read somewhere that it's more prominent if it's twins Shock

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 12:16

Ooh do you know you are having twins Sara ?!!

Minibagel · 21/05/2014 12:18

You will probably feel it especially after dtd, when all the extra blood flows to that area and it contracts ??
