Well what a ridiculous waste of time going to hospital last night was! I ended up at 2 hospitals and neither of them had equipment to check my little sea monkey so I've to go to the EPU on Monday morning, I didn't get home til midnight AngryAngryAngry

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 18/05/2014 09:00

linda sorry to hear that. Do you live In a small town or something?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 18/05/2014 09:01

Oh Linda, that's rubbish!!Angry

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:12

That's rubbish linda . Hold on. ((Hugs))

english I guess it must be the time difference Grin DH and I always struggle with going out for dinner in the UK at 7 or 8 with friends when visiting - we're just about ready to fall asleep then!

8w today! Ducking out of 10k race today. Stopped training a few weeks ago when exhaustion and nausea was just too much. Hope everyone buys my bad knee story (I do the race every year - biggest ladies run in the Netherlands and very local to me).

Am feeling better on the sleep front. DS has slept NINE nights in a row in his own bed! Even managed to persuade him to head back into his own room with a pile of books this morning so we had a lay in until 9am. Have been having massive sleep issues with him for the last 6 mo ths so this is a huge breakthroug. Just in time for me to catch up before it all starts again Smile

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:21

sonic so far we have told both sets of parents, my DB, DSis, DBIL, DH's DB and DSIL, my running partner and I have also told my best friend and closest colleague. We haven't told my other Dsis yet as she is travelling in Asia atm and not easily contactable. Are ina quandry over when to tell work. Not sure whether to tell next week after 8w scan or after 10+5. If something goes wrong I will have to take time off anyway (with mc in October I had a week off and then had lots of follow up hospital appts over the nextfew months) and want to give them good notice for planning for next year at school.

dontbe blue whereabouts are you?

fancy my outfit of choice atm includes jogging bottoms with elasticated waist...just not in public where I might see someone I know!

Morning!
Prune juice Mademoiselle? Sounds... Yummy?
Without giving tmi though (who am I kidding? Tmi doesn't bother me), having 'movements' isn't the problem, it's the quality of what comes out. Ahh poo talk. Only ever semi-acceptable with strangers during pregnancy.

Sorry to those waking up ridiculously early. Make sure you get lots of naps today!

Callingallengels yes to the tracksuit bottoms! I'm also loving my pyjama bottoms but top of the list is just nighties. Around the house. Gorgeous.

I live in a very large town but the hospitals are renowned for being bloody useless (on the news all the time) They did find a cervical polyp so that might be causing the spotting but I've to get a scan to rule out an ectopic because of the pain. I'm not going to stress today though as it's my birthday and today I am pregnant Smile

sunshineandbiscuits · 18/05/2014 09:32

Hello everyone!

May I join? I'm 6+3, first pregnancy so super excited, although time seems to have slowed down to a crawl ever since we found out. We had IUI, so found out literally hours after my AF was due. We have an early scan on 27-May, so crossing fingers and toes til then.

How do I edit the spreadsheet, or does someone have to add me? EDD 8-Jan.

CallingAllEngels - I feel your pain on the 10k. I had to drop out of 2 half-marathons because they were the week before our first insemination and had to pretend an old knee injury was playing up. I think my running buddies might guess something is up soon - my running speed has dropped dramatically in the last couple of weeks. Suppose my body is busy doing other things...

RPopz · 18/05/2014 09:36

Happy birthday Linda Grin Hope everything goes okay tomorrow Thanks

fancyacupoftea · 18/05/2014 09:41

Happy birthday Linda!!!

Congratulations and welcome Sunshine! It's really lovely to see ladies here who are pg after a struggle. Here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy for you!

Has anyone else already started a list of names? Hidden it from DH obviously, but am obsessed.

Thank you RPopz, I think things will be fine, convinced I may have cysts again so hoping that's all it is

fancyacupoftea · 18/05/2014 09:43

Oh, and Sunshine about the stats - if you go to the first page of this thread and click on the link on the second post then it's the editable version of the stats. You can only edit on a laptop though I think.

fancyacupoftea - Found it and added my details, thanks!

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:48

Happy birthday linda !

Welcome sunshine . Well done for keeping on running! I stopped at about 5w as just too knackered and nauseous, thoug feeling a bit better now, don't think I could manage 10k (especially on the hotetst day of the year so far!).

sleepisforthetired · 18/05/2014 09:49

Morning all! Woke at 4 this morning as ds woke up telling me to look at his bed - wet through so full change. Back to bed and I woke at 6 waiting for ds to wake up again as I was bored!

Happy birthday Linda!

I am doing overtime today so will be stuck indoor - bit grateful as my uniform is a tracksuit that too big (very comfortable!).

Hope you get to enjoy the weather :)

sunshineandbiscuits · 18/05/2014 09:49

fancyacupoftea - I should clarify, we had IUI as we are a same-sex couple. Obviously that means there were a few more hurdles then there would otherwise have been, but thankfully no infertility issues. The doctor did give us an official diagnosis of 'lacking a male partner', which still makes us crack up.

Linda - Happy birthday!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

CallingAllEngels · 18/05/2014 09:55

How exciting sunshine - you must be thrilled. One of my colleagues had her ds through iui with donor sperm and is currently trying for her 2nd. She made the choice at 37 that she couldn't wait around for the right partner anymore.

fancyacupoftea · 18/05/2014 09:59

Oh sorry Sunshine, I just made an assumption. I suppose 'lacking a male partner' does count as some sort of infertility issue! Not going to lie, that made me crack up too! So maybe I should have changed my initial "struggle" to "hurdle".
I'm really pleased for you both and also really happy that it happened so quickly for you then.

fancyacupoftea - We haven't started a list of names yet, but I keep on catching DW looking at baby name lists online.

Starbright24 · 18/05/2014 11:09

Happy birthday linda hope you have a good day :)

I'm on the boiled gin gin sweets from holland and barrett to try and prevent ms today. Unfortunately they are not full of gin!!

welcome newbies :) congratulations

ChaircatMiaow · 18/05/2014 11:18

Happy birthday linda! Cake

deuscat · 18/05/2014 11:28

I'm very behind on the thread due to days being wiped out by work and sleep. So exhausted right now!!

Scoops so sorry to hear your sad news. I don't know if you're still reading, but just wanted to say that I hope you are managing at this very difficult time. I promise that time is a healer.

Linda happy birthday and good luck for your scan tomorrow.

Welcome newbies. Very exciting!

I think I've been having night time nausea. I feel queasy when I briefly wake in the night and a bit dodgy in the mornings but generally ok.

Main other symptoms are still very sore boobs, extreme tiredness and serous bloat!!

6+1 today

lindamagoo · 18/05/2014 12:14

Lol at sunshine, I love your doctors official diagnosisGrin glad the IUI worked for you both, congrats Thanks

Thanks for the birthday wishes lovely ladies, I'm having a nice relaxed day, the sun is coming out so might go for a nice walk Smile
