Scoops and Gingy, sending lots of love to you both. Fingers crossed.

Welcome Frances! I drank before I realised too but I don't feel guilty anymore. Research tells me that drinking very early only decreases chances of implantation as the embroyo itself lives off nutrition from the cells so doesn't actually take nutrition from you until the umbilical cord is established.

Mademoiselle that's lovely! You must be so happy! Was it an up-the-vadge-dildo scan? Got mine tomorrow. Need to work out whether I should sort my muff out a bit before someone rummages down there. English, help a girl out will you?!

Saras I was exactly same on Tuesday. Got all excited reading all my stuff from midwife and then had cramps and panic all afternoon! I think its in our heads Wink

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/05/2014 18:10

Ikkle - don't worry, cramps are normal, as long as they aren't bad. Its just your uterus stretching! Congratulations!

MelMc73 · 15/05/2014 18:12

linda ems sleep ddmb I was only 4cm dilated after all that time....bloody ridiculous. They took 7 hours to make final decision. I was raging!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/05/2014 18:16

Haha Fancy - Give a bit of a trim. I'd wax you if I was local, and it would be the best god dam wax of your life! Grin haha

Ikkleme · 15/05/2014 18:16

That's good to no English, it's like I'm having period cramps and backache it's so strange as I'm expecting to see AF when I go to toilet! How do I go about getting a early scan and are the dangerous to baby?

lindamagoo · 15/05/2014 18:18

Lol at up-the-vag-dildo scan fancy, I almost wet my pants reading that Grin

Ikkle the cramps and backache are normal as long as not really really painful Smile

Mel I would have been raging too Angry

fancyacupoftea · 15/05/2014 18:22

English this is a place for sharing, but you having a rummage round my flaps is a line I'm not sure we should cross...

7 weeks today and I am SICK! Anyone else around this mark ? With the last pregnancy I felt nothing like this... What if its twins!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 15/05/2014 19:52

Fancy I have had the dildo scan for a coil issue. Would not repeat that again in a hurry, haha!

RPopz · 15/05/2014 20:05

In 6+ 4 and I'm sharing in your sickness!! Rubbish isn't it! Ds thought it was funny... I must have been making funny noises!
Congrats to all newbies.
MG I'm glad your scan went well. I have booked one for Sunday now!! For some reason I still haven't gone to my doctors though... I think it's denial!! I must call them tomorrow!

Shallan · 15/05/2014 20:36

6 + 2 and omg the nausea! Mint toffees are the only thing that's helping.

DulcetMoans · 15/05/2014 20:46

Time is going slowly for sure! I have got myself into a muddle of what to do as well. I was due to go for a follow up with fertility clinic today but obviously cancelled cos we made a baby! But two of my friends knew I was going and both asked about it. I told them it had been postponed until 29th which is my scan date but I don't want to lie really! But then I don't want to tell...! Confused

ikkle - cramps are totally normal, and back pain I am sure. Congratulations! Most early scanners are private and paid for. Just Google your area. I don't think there is any harm to the baby.

Sounds like a sickness is taking hold then ladies! Make a friend of the toilet!

RPopz · 15/05/2014 20:59

That's not really a lie Dulce Wink Or only a tiny white lie at least! They'll forgive you I'm sure.

I'm also in a quandry about whether to tell my line manager tomorrow - its my appraisal so will be nice and confidential and quiet. And it would make things easier with appointments and such. Plus seems silly to sit there making plans for next year when I know I won't be there! But its only early Confused

Saraswati · 15/05/2014 21:49

keepon I'm just over 7 weeks and the sickness was awful today. Threw up my breakfast, managed lunch but haven't had any dinner as I've been sick about 4 times since I got home from work. Managed some tuc biscuits which seemed to have helped. My best friend is coming to stay on sat, I'm definitely not going to be able to hide this :s

I said to DH that I think the baby hates me :(

Dec2013mummy · 15/05/2014 22:10

dulcet you are definitely right to say make friends with the toilet... Can u possibly suggest the bathroom floor too! I spent many nights curled up there last time... This time I'm thinking if I am nicer to both the toilet and the floor, then they may be kinder to me! (I now have images of women all over the country talking to their toilets and maybe the bathroom floor)!
Oh and sara the baby doesn't hate you.... They are just making sure they have you wrapped around their cute little finger from the word go, by dictating your every move! Grin

cheshirem2b · 15/05/2014 22:21

Well after an afternoon of panicking I have no brown discharge... It was literally a one off! Panic #1 of my pregnancy! I am now super paranoid when I'm wiping now! Sorry... tmi! Blush
Can't wait to get to mw tomorrow!
I'm starting to feel sick but not sure if that's from today's stress or the inevitable?!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/05/2014 22:28

Holy feck! My boobs have ballooned ! Left one more sore than right. Feeling positive today. Smile
Our apartment is all packed up and we're ready for the 6-8hour drive home (M25 dependant)!!

Forgot to ask earlier - what hospital are you planning on Saras? Ideally I'd like midwife led too but want more advanced care there should I need it. Got choice of 3 from where I am.

haquoi123 · 15/05/2014 22:29

Saraswati that sounds awful! Hope you're feeling alright and get a break from the MS soon. I'm a few weeks behind everyone I think, around about 4 weeks pg so no sickness yet, just an iffy appetite and constant hunger. I'm not good at waiting - although I'm sure when I get to the MS I won't be so pleased. Also v crampy and emotional - crying at random things and laughing hysterically at my husband's terrible jokes (I'm sure everyone will guess from that).

Great news cheshirem2b!

MademoiselleG · 15/05/2014 22:30

LOL at the up-the-vag-dildo, fancy!! No, I had a perfectly civilised 'normal' scan and was most relieved, as I was not quite on best trim form today...ha!

Good luck for tomorrow...I wasn't too nervous until she put the cold jelly on my belly and then it felt real and I suddenly freaked out: what if there's nothing? But we immediately saw there was and the heartbeat was really visible.

Ladies, we have two hearts Smile

haquoi123 · 15/05/2014 22:31

MademoiselleG amazing news, congrats! So pleased for you :)

MademoiselleG · 15/05/2014 22:32

Oh and sorry to hear about all the ms horror stories! Saras, you should tell your gp, nausea is expected but not sickness, at least certainly not alas much as what you're describing -as in, it might be hyperemesis? I think you can get prescribed something yo ease it a little and my friend swears by acupuncture.

Hope you all sleep well. linda, I'm looking forward to hearing your next dream!

cheshirem2b · 15/05/2014 22:34

Mademoiselle that's amazing! Very jealous! Would love am really scan and might still go for one depending on how I get on tomorrow with mw.
Hope you ladies with ms get some some relief soon!
