Had my scan yesterday and all was good. Pictures are rubbish though as baby wouldn't sit still for long enough!
I was a bit worried about not feeling much but I've got an anterior placenta too. Baby was going crazy in there, and at one point we saw it give me a HUGE kick (it basically did a tumble turn, obviously got the next Michael Phelps in there) but I couldn't feel a thing as the placenta is cushioning it all. I'm much happier now as I had two m/cs before this one so I've basically spent the last 20 weeks freaking out that it's about to go wrong.
Nazly, you can change your mind as to where you give birth up to being in active labour (you can change your mind still at this point but you probably don't want to be travelling at this stage!) I'd be tempted to say you are going to go to your local hospital, get the local midwives to do your ante-natal checks and then turn up at your first choice hospital on D-Day. After all lots of women give birth away from home so as long as your have your notes you can turn up at any hospital in the country and be admitted.
To whoever was worried about pate (sorry can't remember your name) the problem with Vitamin A is that it is stored in the body. Unlike other vitamins which you will pee out if you have too much, vitamin a sits in your fat cells and takes much longer to get rid of. However, one small tub of pate won't contain a toxic amount of vitamin a. The problem would be if you ate a tub of pate every day as you would get a big build up of vitamin a and never get time to clear it out of your system. I guess a good way to think about it would be a bag of sweets - if you ate it in one go you'd get a bit of sugar rush but no long term issues. However if you ate a bag everyday you'd end up with diabetes etc due to sugar overload.
I'm in Edinburgh too, and have my appointments for 24 and 28 weeks already booked in. I'm moving to Bristol at 30 weeks though so will have to start again down there
