Poor, have just stuffed face on a gorgeous lasagne, and now bean is kicking me to bits....feeling most green!
Right, re discharge curls I spent an evening in day assessment a few weeks back to check it wasn't waters, and it wasn't. Have and two scans since and waters are within normal limits so am guessing it isn't a slow leak - which was what I thought. But there is loads of it, I am soaking through pads and tmi, it smells really like ammonia, like hair bleach so I think it's probably pee, I was swabbed for all manner of infections too, all came back clear so just have to put up with it, and smelling of wee like an old lady!!
moas so glad not not be the only one suffering this, although obv sorry that you are too! It's just so frustrating, and weird! Hadn't thought of giving birth either.....is it something to do oth baby pressing on lungs or artery or something ? It's been making me pretty breathless all day today because i keep forgetting until tis too late!
minions DS was b2b all the way through labour until he turned a full rotation part way through. People say that this makes for a longer, slower labour with a different pain levels, which was certainly the case for me, but not for everyone. I think Longtailedtit just delivered her little man with just G&A fully back to back. For me the contractions were unbearable, but DS also didn't descend properly, and I didn't dilate properly either (I literally found all of this out going through my last labour notes with my MW last week btw, so excuse me being a labour bore!) so it all made for a long, very painful, very ineffective first stage. All to do with position, have a look at the spinning babies web site, there's lands of sometimes confusing info on there.
I've also since been told that your pelvis shape dictates how you carry (Position) though and it's hard to turn a back to back baby, best to try to help it descend and engage properly. Anyway, hope that helps and doesn't terrify. I did have an epidural , and a forceps delivery but that was after more than 24 hours of active labour, with another 12 still to go due to lack of proper dilation.
