Sarah- what strange things for sil to say, she does sound like a cow. Is she jealous do you think? Does she want another one? Some of my friends have made insensitive comments about me having a elcs booked this time around. Things like 'least you don't have to push' etc etc. I would love to push if I could but had a traumatic birth with ds with a placenta abruption and had to have a crash cs with a general where he had to be resuscitated and wanted to avoid that this time. It really bothers me that people would think major abdominal surgery as the easier option! Especially when this time I'm going to have a two stone toddler who is going to want to be picked up and cuddled! Rant over!

I'm 39 weeks today! Anyone else? I've said the whole way through this pregnancy that I reckon I'll give birth in the 39th week... Let's see if I am my own birthing Nostramadamus!

Cockwomble!! We've had some excellent swears this pregnancy, love it! Thanks ladies. Bella my sisters think its jealousy on some level, which i could totally understand, its just such an odd way for it to come out.

39 weeks today and symptom spotting like crazy!! Operation evict baby can commence!!!

Watch out with the nail varnish, randdom. If you end up with a CS, they might require it to be removed...

Successfully performed a 'wet run' with the birthing pool last night. :) Took about 50 minutes to fill and completely drained the hot water tank in the process! Fortunately the boiler managed to get the tank back to a reasonable 37 degrees pretty rapidly. Must remember on the day to make sure the hot water is turned on so the tank will replenish as required!

Going to try again over the weekend, initially filling with only hot water until that is depleted, then adding cold while the boiler works its magic to see if that makes things any quicker. I'm a little afraid otherwise that the pool won't fill in time, given how quick I seem to birth! First twinge and the water is going on, even if it means some false starts.

Those who've had the whooping cough vaccination, how long did it take for your arm to stop hurting? It's been 48 hours now and mine is still very painful, I can't lift my elbow above my shoulder and sleeping on that side is next to impossible.

Between that and the PGP, I'm down to only one functional limb at present!!

spirael false starts just means you get to float about for a bit so it can't be all bad! Also, my arm was sore for over a week after the whooping cough jab, I could barely lift it. It's definitely worse than the flu jab.

Dobe + ditsy we due the same day but as all my symptoms have stoped the last few days i think you will beat me im going to be pregnent FOREVER...

Yikes as of today I have an 11% chance of giving birth... this is getting very real! MW yesterday and 2/5 engaged so heading in the right direction.

Morning all. I was a ratty hormonal sleep deprived mess yesterday. Saw some of my NCT friends and their squishy newborns. Argument with my Mum. Her best friend is in USA and very poorly (it might be the end) I asked Mum on Sat of she wanted to go visit her, and said if she did it's be ok she could see the baby when she came back. I was surprised that she put up no resistance to this suggestion and in my mind she would go to USA soon. I got ridiculously upset by this. Anyway turned out she doesn't want to go. She wants to be here (in UK) when my baby arrives (I'm an only child). But oh the tears I cried before she actually said that! Ooops. Silly both of us.

I have REALLY bad skin at the mo, why?! Hormones? Going to look like a spotty 35yo teen in my post baby pics at this rate. Will be 39 weeks tomorrow!

38 weeks today so 25% chance. I don't feel like it's going to happen soon, I think I'll need to see her head coming out before I believe it!

I'm really hoping for a water birth this time, all I seem to do at the moment is float around in the bath or hot tub. I'm a whale! (in the bath now haha)
