Home again home again, no may-be for me today!

moo my blood pressure is high, they are monitoring me for pre-eclampsia. If the bottom number is over 90 they take action, and mine is just hovering above and below it.

They did more blood tests, which I'll get the results of in the morning, if they're normal then I'm in for more checks on Sunday. If they're not then induction is back on the cards. I just want to get on with it!

dobedobedo · 01/05/2014 16:15

mama and bush I saw the midwife on Tuesday and my BP was fine. Lower than it had been. There was trace protein in my urine but not enough to worry the mw. I will be vigilant for sore ribs and headaches etc.
Maybe I'll pop and get BP checked again tomorrow at the clinic.

Bush you must be excited to see your dp! Go easy with the nesting!

moobaloo · 01/05/2014 16:25

Oops, sorry Curls, read your post wrong and thought that 90 was your top number. Baby brain! Hope all goes well!

Take it easy bush!

Mama, my friend sells these and they're really nice, organic clothing and some lovely designs. www.piccalilly.co.uk
My dream item however would be one of these, but they're pricey! www.bambinomerino.com/Bambino-Merino-Baby-Sleeping-Bag/c-16/p-29

Choppa · 01/05/2014 16:37

Happy May 1st everyone! This month I will definitely have a baby...yay!!

samandkat · 01/05/2014 16:37

Hi I'm 38+5 week and my edd is 10th may and my baby is footling breech

I'm currently a real mess Acid reflux Stabbing pains in bump Strong ish tighting Lower back pain Swollen ankles Bad headaches Been sick left right and center Pressure Hip pain Legs feel heavy

My c section is now booked in for next Friday the 9th so cant wait I'm at end of my.tether with this pregnancy but if I go to labour ward they will assess me then put me on a bed and "observe me" give me paracetamol and send me home so I refuse to go anywhere but at same time I'm unsure if I could.be on the verge of labour or if my cervix is dilating or not

rebeccax2 · 01/05/2014 17:18

Much love and support to you samandkat

I certainly feel your discomfort :-(

At least you have an end in sight... I'm wishing you the best.

bushprincess · 01/05/2014 17:53

Hi samandkat sorry to hear you're feeling so rubbish, but 9 days and counting is exciting! (if you aren't on the verge of labour anyway!)

Thanks all - am actually feeling much better already, but yep rebeccax2 I think it is baby engaging that is giving me the pelvic pain...though according to mw he was fully engaged last week, but maybe he bobbed out and spending lots of time on my feet encouraged him lower again?!

Off to some relaxing preggy yoga so catch you all later

xx

bushprincess · 01/05/2014 17:55

good luck for your results tomorrow curls but glad they were happy to let you home

sounds like a good idea to keep an eye on it dobe though fx all is well and we're fussing over you unnecessarily!!!

mamapants · 01/05/2014 18:28

Do you have other symptoms curls? I have my next bp check on sat.but its my due date today so hopefully will have already had baby by then! When are you due?

mamapants · 01/05/2014 18:33

Oh and am glad you are being monitored and not having any problems dobe

randdom · 01/05/2014 19:03

I have just realised that as I am not working any more I can paint my nails! simple pleasures!

sambababy · 01/05/2014 20:58

I have noticed that the mums on this thread have been producing particularly BEAUTIFUL babies!! That bodes well for the rest of us I hope Smile

randdom I presume you are not talking about toe nails?

There is some ridiculous protest/movement going on near our house and some people with squeaky voices have been singing the same awful song for about an hour. I swear if they don't stop soon I'm going to start throwing papayas at their heads Angry

I also have a friend coming round when I would really just like to go to sleep Sad

Bezzabelle · 01/05/2014 21:05

Growth scan tomor morning for me at 35+1, hoping all ok.

Hope everyone gets a more restful nights sleep. I can't understand how I am quite agile during day but then at night, feel super heavy and feel like I'm hoisting a bowling ball round with me everytime I turn over in bed/get up for a wee??

ohdearitshappeningtome · 01/05/2014 21:21

I do have A handsome boy samba !!

MoominAndMiniMoom · 01/05/2014 21:25

samba that made me giggle, there's something wonderfully classy about choosing papayas as a missile Grin

SarahJinx · 01/05/2014 21:39

Selfish rant: been out for dinner this evening with in laws for mil's birthday. Sat at the bar chatting to sil, baby is rolling around like crazy, sil notices and starts making boaking vomit noises. Nice. Sil is 30, a mother of a 5 year old child conceived via ivf....

I was like, er thanks sil, that's your niece or nephew you're making sick noises at, she laughed it off. Then, as they were leaving she says, oh good luck with induction, remember a quick sneeze birth, teeny baby and no pain relief is what we want. Knowing that i'm being induced because of big baby, had pnd last time over traumatic 36 hr labour, and had an epidural. She had two paracetamol and four hours....

am i being over sensitive? In my head I am shouting the C word a lot! What on earth is up with that shit?

bushprincess · 01/05/2014 21:49

Sarah all i can say is BITCH!!!!!!!!

(Apologies if she's normally super nice and lovely, but definitely no need for any of that!)

Bezzabelle · 01/05/2014 21:53

Oops I'm 35+6 tomor not 35+1!!

bushprincess · 01/05/2014 21:56

Good luck at the scan tomorrow bezza

samba hope they've buggered off now, would be a waste of good papaya!!!

Sleep well all!!

SarahJinx · 01/05/2014 21:57

Thank you bush I was hoping it wasn't me! We have got on pretty well, we're really different but I've been with DP for 18 years so have known her forever. she's been a bit distant lately, but his whole family are a bit uninterested where mine are all Over me.

It all, seemed so forced, so deliberate iykwim? Sick noises over a moving baby in the womb?? From a silly teenager maybe but a mother? Just weird, made me hate her a bit.

MoominAndMiniMoom · 01/05/2014 22:39

Sarah she sounds like an idiot. My course has some idiot teenagers (until last September I was probably an idiot teenager... had to wise up pretty sharpish Grin ) and even they never made any comments about my bump or the baby's movements, and most of them even loved feeling the kicks. She sounds so childish!

Do you think his family will change when the baby is actually born? My OH's did - they had very little interest in me and to some extent, the baby, until she was born. Now they're all besotted with her, they seem so interested in her. No idea if their feelings towards me have changed particularly though Grin I do hope I'm a little bit more than the vessel for their grandchild/neice though Grin

It's not just you; she sounds like a prize cockwomble.

loopylou52 · 01/05/2014 23:03

Cockwomble = word of the day. Love it!! Grin And I agree, she does sound like one of those!

Good luck for the scan bezza.

Squiffie · 02/05/2014 01:07

So uncomfortable!! Bump keeps going rock solid but no pain so not thinking anything of it but would really just like to go to.sleep.

Sarah, sil sounds like she was being a twunt!

Sorry to hear about the protesters Samba, did make me lol just a little though, especially at the thought of you hurling papayas.

Good luck with the growth scan Bezza.

Happy Friday everyone :-)

MasterFlea · 02/05/2014 05:36

Sarah your SIL is an insensitive eejit. It's a shame we can't choose our rellies.

Samand hope you feel better soon. Resting always help my aches and pains lessen. Anyone to help you out until next Friday?

I had DH all day yesterday and until I did the ironing, I was nearly feeling normal. Bump hurt afterwards, as well as pelvis and feet. I'm in bits this morning. He's back at work but my plan for the weekend is doing NOTHING! (Angel boxset beckons :-) )

MasterFlea · 02/05/2014 05:37

Hmm, papayas...
