Hi pfj I'm only new to the thread but I wanted to say to you that I've been there too . I had a MC in 2010 and I found it very hard in the time leading up to what would have been my due date . Particularly because I had convinced myself that I would surely be pregnant by then and I wasn't which just seemed to add to the pain . I found it helpful to mark the day and just let a single white balloon off into the sky . Thinking of you and hoping your bfp isn't too far off Thanks

It's my dad's birthday today and he was hoping I might produce a squishy newborn present for him but not as much as a tingle nevermind an actual pain to give any hope to that scenario ! :)

To all the pgp ladies I've been suffering too but it has improved a bit since I calmed down the crazy nesting behaviour . I decluttered every inch of the house and my dh spent most evenings removing things from the bin :)
I have physio in the morning, 8am appointment ughhhhhh . It's so busy I only get one appointment every 3 weeks so I can't miss it .

Congrats mre mummy little Olivia is a beauty :)

Hi Rebecca, not sure if the "moan moan moan" refers to you and what you want to say, or what you read when you see this thread.

I personally think all you Maybies are awesome!! I so much appreciate everyone's support, and I like hearing about different people's experiences of this stage in pregnancy.

I salute everyone's honesty (whether moany or minor triumph) and I'm so enjoying hearing all squishy new born news.

The fact that ThePFJ has come back to wish us well warms the cockles of my heart!!thanks PFJ!

So Rebecca: if you're complaining that we are moaning, then sorry but we all need somewhere to vent, and where better than a lot of people going through similar but uniquely different experiences. If however you want to have a moan, come on and let it out! We want to know! We probably all feel the same!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my aqua yoga class tonight. Think it helped with my oedema. Then after dinner I had a lovely bath (only my second in the third trimester) I then moisturised myself with 5 (yes 5) different lotions and potions for feet/legs/stretch marks/ hands /face! I almost could convince myself I've been to a spa. Hoping relaxed feeling lasts.

Really hope everyone with various ailments has amazing zonky night sleeps as we move from APRIL into MAY!!!

Sunny - the balloon idea is lovely... I will think about doing that... hopefully I'll be able to see straight on the Monday, but hey why not do it the Saturday before with my girls and a bottle of wine... could be easier... and yeap I like it.. so thanks. -that's me thinking out loud- Grin

Right. This is my last Maybies post. Since April is about to end I thought it was to come back this one day and be with you all. Because you are a fantastic group and I think if I was lucky to know some of you jokers who got my humour on here, in real life we'd be pretty great mates. That's me trying to give you a whopping compliment. I won't get mushy... Thank you for being so nice to me. Thanks for being there and thinking of me. Thanks for being awesome. Now go have babies!! Grin

Take all the drugs they fling at you, crush your husbands hand when he tells you to squeeze if it hurts.. and then laugh maniacally inside your head - because it IS funny. Don't let constant calls for updates from your friends and family take over.. turn off the phone if you have to. And bring a lot of underwear to the hospital with you. And sniff your babies head for me. New baby smell is like crack cocaine is to an addict...

They smell... so... wonderful.

Hug hug hug hug hug and more hugs to you ALL.
And all that mushy stuff.

Good Luck xxxx ThePFJ xxx

It's MAY!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Baby will definitely be born this month! Woop!

mummytobe88 · 01/05/2014 07:03

Good morning ladies!

Sorry I've not had a chance to catch up on the thread so hope everyone is doing well. We're finally into May yay!! Looking forward to hearing about al the Maybies making their appearance.

Just looking for a wee bit advice from the ladies whose little bubs are already here or are into DC2+ and who are FF...how are you making up the bottles? I know the guidelines are now make when needed but just wanted to see what everyone else's techniques were!

ohdearitshappeningtome · 01/05/2014 07:34

I'm making my bottles three at a time and expressing and topping them up with my expressed milk!

MasterFlea · 01/05/2014 07:47

Hooray for it being May! Eviction notices are being drawn up here. Held to the side though.

38 weeks today. Still have diarrhorea but not feeling ill. Very strange.

DDs were blowing those party horn thingys yesterday and i had to ban them. The baby felt very upset. DH thought I was being silly but the movements felt very distressed and not at all like the normal kicks. It stopped as soon as there was quiet again. Poor baby!

Vikks · 01/05/2014 08:10

Yeah it's May!!!! Grin Grin Grin
Come on babies it's time.

DP and me had a moment, our daughter will definitely be born in May! It's my mums birthday today I think she was secretly hoping today would be the day.Smile

SarahJinx · 01/05/2014 08:14

I'm coming in for my morning moan. My hips and knees are going to SHIT, it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep for pain and I am miserable.

I had to take codeine last night again, paracetamol this morning, feel shit for that but Jesus God it was bad. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which has been in total remission since I got the bfp, but last night I got a taste of the raging joint pain to come back and I am feeling crap about that.

39+3 induction in under a week, bag repacked with induction in mind yesterday (thanks for advice ladies) and a new maternity bra purchased, and a gorgeous cuddle in bed with DP and DS this morning are things to be thankful for, and that my ma is coming today for a final swoosh of domesticity through my house, and that am going out for a swanky dinner tonight for a family birthday.

Repeat after me, the end is in sight!

Happy 1st May wonderful Maybie Ladies ThanksThanks

Spirael · 01/05/2014 08:55

A morning moan here too! My left arm is so sore, I can't lift it above my head and trying to sleep on that side was a nightmare. Ended up sleeping primarily on my right, which meant my hips were worse than usual when I needed to get up to use the bathroom and I had to do the weird shuffle walk where I avoid putting too much weight on either leg.

On the plus side, today is a quiet day. I need to finish off making a superhero costume for DD to use at nursery tomorrow, then I might just go back to bed for a few hours-!

Lovely birth story, PotatoPolly! Glad your lovely LO arrived safely and hope you have a speedy recovery. :) Bet you're glad to be home, eh?

Very excited that today is May - I wonder who will be our first May Maybie! Wink Unfortunately, I'm due so late in the month that there is a significant chance I could have a June Maybie, if she decides she's comfy and doesn't want to budge. Only another week until my homebirth check and then I finally reach the drop zone, at least.

MoominAndMiniMoom · 01/05/2014 09:28

mummytobe making them as and when. We're just using the bottles at the moment though because we're both starting to feel the sleep deprivation a little bit and don't want to make a mistake with the powder. It's much more expensive but the peace of mind is worth it right now. But yeah, even with the powder I just sterilise and make up the bottle as and when it's needed.

MoominAndMiniMoom · 01/05/2014 09:32

It's May! Grin and Celyn is three weeks old Shock

Ooh Maybies I'm so excited for everyone meeting their babies this month (and the start of next month). It's all so exciting Grin

ohdearitshappeningtome · 01/05/2014 09:52

Oh I watching Jeremy Kyle today and sobbing I feel so sorry for that lady who's daughter offered to be surrogate and then denies her access

randdom · 01/05/2014 09:53

Had a dreadful night last night. reflux is getting worse even if I down gaviscon and avoid any food trigger I can think of. Just sick of this part now. Had to get up for NCT stuff and almost couldn't drag myself out of bed!

mamapants · 01/05/2014 10:01

Thanks for all who told me what they are meant to do when go into labour. I saw my midwife on tuesday so asked her. And I am meant to call the labour ward as I thought. She told me I shouldn't delay with phoning too much as had quick labour with DS.
But really not sure what I'll do when it comes to it. Had contractions every five mins on sat before fizzled to nothing. Had intense lower back pain yesterday with sporadic but agonising contractions. Again didn't turn into anything.
Am due today, so am sure nothing will happen! On plus side false alarms have finally propelled DP into putting car seat in carwhich I've been wanting him to do for ages.
DS barely slept last night so we are a very tired household. Hope everyone else is feeling more awake.

mummytobe88 · 01/05/2014 10:03

Thank you ohdear and moomin!

moomin I'm thinking of doing the same with the ready made ones just for the night feeds at least until we have some sort of routine going. My OH has absolutely no experience with babies so is nervous enough without making up formula to add to the mix haha

Can't believe we're into May already!!

I should also say good luck to everyone with CS and inductions booked over the next few days as I probs won't be keeping up with the thread!

CurlsLDN · 01/05/2014 10:16

Morning everyone! I am symptom spotting like crazy. Yesterday and today I have really bad bum cheek ache! I feel like I've done 3000 lunges on each side, but I definitely haven't! Anyone else had this?
