SunnyInterval · 29/04/2014 14:45

mummy that's so cool ! Hope you are having snuggles after two pushes by now :)

chip if they are so worried about the possibility of the shoulders getting stuck why don't they offer you the option of an elective section ?

moomin hope your scans turn out ok and good luck with the essay . Are you finished for the summer soon ?

bush great news about your husbands imminent arrival . What's your due date ?

vikks great to have a due date buddy :) my next hospital appointment is on the 15th and the last one took 4 hours because they are so crazy busy so I wouldn't mind having my baby on the 14th just to avoid that appointment !

I live in Ireland by the way so the system is probably a little different here

Chip86 · 29/04/2014 14:53

Moomin thank you, your little one sounds lovely, and sorry to hear you headachs are still bad that cant be fun with trying to write essay

sunny yes i am going to ask

thank you x

dobedobedo · 29/04/2014 15:43

There's so much to catch up on here!

chip I'd be upset if I were you too, but you are not failing your baby! Not at all. Hopefully they can reassure you a bit better the next time you see your midwife. Thanks

I'm just back from seeing the midwife. She said I'm now 2-3 cms dilated now, cervix is very thin and she felt the baby's head! Shock except he's not as engaged as he was last week. He's a pain in the arse! She couldn't do a proper sweep cos he was so high up.

My pelvis is really hurting today, otherwise I'd go for a walk to try and move things along. I knew trying to sleep lying down last night was a bad idea. Sad

MasterFlea · 29/04/2014 15:47

Dobe don't give up hope. With DD2, I was in labour, 5cm dilated and baby was still high so I had to go off walking. I came back a few hours later and she was born soon after. They pop up and down even on the day.

hobbjobb · 29/04/2014 15:50

Right, that's it I am FED UP of being pregnant I want this baby out. I feel so huge and I can't do anything, can't sleep, can't eat and all I do is pee I am fucking miserable.
AND I AM STILL ONLY 36+3
I Want to cry

I have another growth scan tomorrow and I am going to beg for induction ASAP I can't bear weeks more of this it is absolute torture
Sad

ClearlyMoo · 29/04/2014 16:31

Oh Hobb! That sounds awful! Bless you!

MrsFooCough · 29/04/2014 17:43

My darling hobb I feel your pain. 35+3 today and apparently I was measuring term at 32wks!! So I'm desperate that the sweep they have scheduled for 37+4 ACTUALLY DOES SOMETHING! I'm getting evening primrose oil this weekend, taking it orally ASAP and ahem topically as soon as I pluck up the courage...

hobbjobb · 29/04/2014 18:02

Thanks guys.

I would shove a rotten cabbage up my hoo-ha if I thought it would do anything mrsfoo so go for it with the EPO

Sorry for the rant...

Choppa · 29/04/2014 18:19

Feeling your pain hobbjob.

Walked to pick up DS from school...stupid idea!! Hair cut and colour are a big change but feel much better for it. Had fringe cut in and darker all over colour.

Moomin...think it's fab that you are able to keep up the uni work. Glad the LO likes her bath time...they smell so amazing after. Hope they can sort things with the headaches. Maybe some time off over the summer will help. After all, it's been an extremely up and down year for you hasn't it...full of emotion, stress and joy!

Chips... You have done the best for your baby and threatening you with shoulder dislocation seems very unfair. No wonder you are upset. Think the question of elcs is the right one if it would put your mind at ease. Hope you get some sleep tonight too.

Mummy..thinking of you. Hope all is well :)

sambababy · 29/04/2014 19:04

More babies, hooray!! I have given my congrats on FB but mummy congratulations again! Thanks

Unfortunately my baby thinks the way out is through my belly button. We could be here for some time... Hmm

junior good news on the growth scan!

Hugs to everyone feeling down or fed up. It did suddenly get a lot harder in this last part didn't it! Perhaps it's so that we actually WANT to go into labour by the end, rather than dread it.

My piles are so bad I'm too embarrassed to ask DH to dtd Blush

sambababy · 29/04/2014 19:07

And tmi but is anyone else pooing more often? Blush I'm going at least twice a day now. Normal though, none of this runny clearing out business, sigh. If not please ignore!

Chip86 · 29/04/2014 19:18

Yep sam going more than once a day and usualy i go once a week so i thought that was my body clearing out is it not ... never mind i think i will stop symptom spoting and she will just come when ever unless i can ask midwife to speed it up
and agree was really enjoying being pregnent till now, im fed up, get out!

mumof2aimingfor3 · 29/04/2014 19:19

hobb are you due on the 24th? If so me and bluestone are your due date buddies ;) I feel your pain! I was fine but last night and today I've had horrendous back pain.

MasterFlea · 29/04/2014 20:21

I'm wondering about the clear out too. I had it with the last two but my waters had broken so it was easy to figure out. Tonight I've had 3 trips to the loo and usually I'm a regular once in the morning gal. No wonder I weighed so much last week!

Symptom spotting is nearly as bad as when TTC. All this knicker checking and over analysing every twinge. Gah!
BH are rather sore but irregular. Make my hands sweat when they come though. Where's my crystal ball?

hobbjobb · 29/04/2014 21:01

I'm due on the 25th mumof2

dobedobedo · 29/04/2014 21:11

Something bad has happened with my spd/pgp. I don't know if it was caused by the internal exam the midwife did, or by me having to take off and put on my trousers without sitting down (the table thing was too high) but I'm in excruciating pain Sad

It's all concentrated on my pubic bone and I can barely move my legs. Last night I slept lying down for a bit so I think that also contributed.

I really really hope it goes away ASAP. I couldn't even drive earlier, it's that bad. Tomorrow I'm not doing anything or going anywhere in the hope that it sorts itself out.

I don't want to be giving birth with this to deal with. A water birth would definitely be off the cards Sad

Sorry for being so miserable.

ohdearitshappeningtome · 29/04/2014 22:36

Yeasssss!!! Mini me has left a special poonami for his daddy!!Shock

ClearlyMoo · 29/04/2014 22:44

Sympathy Dobe! Hope a days rest sorts you out.

I just made DH help me change the bedding and attach the bedside crib (bed nest) to our divan. It took 45mins of huffing puffing and stretching reaching then all the hassle of derobing & rerobing a kingsize duvet etc. I'm knackered with a capital K. Can't even face the stairs, but have clean bed so I need to have a shower before I go to sleep (my own silly rule)! My feet have never been so fat - I have Birkenstock wedge lines, and they're the only shoes I can wear!! Plus after stretch mark eruption earlier I'm still itchy itchy itchy!

Hoping for a good nights sleep tonight for EVERYONE! We certainly deserve it. This growing a human is super hard work!!!

MasterFlea · 30/04/2014 04:46

Dobe I get like that after lying on my back and those examination tables are rock hard. Rest up now and you will probably get back your movement tomorrow.

I have in my birth notes to be examinined on my side due to PGP, no stirrups, etc. and keep rabbiting on about PGP.

My sympathy to you. It is agony.

Clearly I am wearing my DHs shoes around the garden. Then barefoot all day in the house. My feet now resemble Elephants.
My chin has gone on vacation and my hands are like baseball mitts.

I've stopped wearing my watch as it digs in, even though it is a link looser. Rings have been off for over 4 months.

But we are nearly there. A month or less and our bodies shall make a comeback. Like a zombie scene, in my case, but return it shall.

I dream of picking up stuff and little children. Turning over in bed without pain. Cutting my toenails. Wearing shoes.

dobedobedo · 30/04/2014 05:27

master I'm going to write some of that stuff in my birth plan too. Honestly, this pain is so bad I'm starting to worry about giving birth. I don't want to permanently damage myself.

I can't wait until our bodies all start to heal themselves and get back to normal. How nice will it be to do the simple things we used to take for granted before pregnancy fucked our bodies up?! Smile

ClearlyMoo · 30/04/2014 06:41

Morning all! Swelling worse this morning, not better and fingers so fat it hurts/is tight to make a fist with right hand. Going to phone MW when they open if no better as seemed to pretty much appear suddenly! Gah!

It's also going to be hard for a MW to tell if my hands are swollen isn't it? I mean she might think I just have fat fingers.

impatientlywaiting · 30/04/2014 08:02

Morning all. Sympathy to Clearly and Masterflea and anyone else suffering with PGP/SPD. I'm so grateful I haven't experienced anything like that, I'm not sure I could have coped!

Today is my DUE DATE!! And to mark the occasion I've woken up to some period-esque pains, which is pretty much the first time I've felt them in 9 months, excluding some mild cramps in early pregnancy. Thinking they are far too mild/irregular to be gearing up for labour, but still reassuring to know my body is aware there is a time frame on this pregnancy. Up until today I hadn't really had any twinges and I was convinced that I was going to be induced at 42 weeks, but now I'm thinking maybe my body might manage it on its own. Exciting/Terrifying.

loopylou52 · 30/04/2014 08:07

I know what you mean about exciting/terrifying impatiently! I had quite a few more intense BHs accompanied by period pain type aches last night, but it all went off when I went to bed. I was starting to wonder!

dobe, so sorry to hear about your pain. Could the baby have moved position (ie more/less.engaged?). Hope a good rest today helps to ease it.

Sorry to others feeling down or struggling. Clearly - I would have thought the mw would be able to tell the difference but, in any case, if you report swelling I'd have thought they'd check blood pressure, protein etc rather than be assessing the extent of the swelling iyswim?
