Ahhh the breast saga!
Mine grew to stupid proportions in the first 9 weeks when pregnant with dd.
I went from d cup to G cup
then when I fed it was like someone just put a bike pump in and inflated them. Had I painted black and white hexagons I could have ahd two footballs. How dd latched on is anyones guess.
They have never goen down really, well ok a bit down - to an F cup [sigh]
this time however NO growth which can only be described as an ENORMOUS relief.

How's everyone getting on weight wise? I've not put on any which I think is down to puking a lot wks 6-9, then eating little and often - soup/cereal/fruit etc and also giving up alcohol.

I'm astonished as I feel like I am constantly eating.
And how's everyone getting on bumpwise?
I've got a definite protusion now! I like it
also anyone got any inklings what gender it might be? we should say and check when they're born
Head on the block saying mine is a boy.

SassiLils · 15/09/2006 14:32

My little efforts are just filling a 32A, I imagine that they would look better in a 32AA but can't bring myself to buy teenage bras

I daren't weight myeslf but I know that in first 9 weeks I gained about 5lbs!! I did go on a 2 week all inclusive holiday during that time though, which didn't help.

My bump is quite big, but to be honest i'm further on than originally thought and should really be on the Feb Thread...but I like it here

I reckon i'm having another girl. But having next scan on 13th Oct so maybe able to tell for sure then.

divastrop · 15/09/2006 14:43

i was a 32dd to start with but if u removed loose skin then i would have been about a b cup!
i think ive put on about 10lb sofar.when i was expecting dd2 id put a whole stone on by 11 weeks.mind u,i wasnt bringing back everything i ate for 3 weeks that time!
i havent got a bump yet,it just looks like trapped wind or a beer gut.

i get the impression that everbody on this site breast feeds and that im going to get lynched for admitting i dont

anniediv · 15/09/2006 14:53

divastrop, re breastfeeding. I don't either. Tried it. Couldn't do it. Ended up on ADs as a result. We can hide together when another bf/ff thread kicks off!

I have LOST 1 stone so far (par for the course with me). Last pregnancy I was on steroids from week 15, and was HUGE by the time I gave birth. Hoping not to end up quite so blimp like this time.

SassiLils · 15/09/2006 15:00

Diva don't stress about not breast feeding. Each to their own I say! I did last time, mainly cos it worked for me and I quite enjoyed it. Although my ex husband got jealous and bullied me into giving uo before I was ready.

If I can do it easily this time, then all is well, if not I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

LunarSea · 15/09/2006 15:28

No bump, no boob growth (though they are leaking sticky white stuff!) and I still fit into my jeans. See what I mean about not getting the usual symptoms that everyone else does?

I will confess though that actually I've got enough, um, blubber, to hide a bump at this stage, so perhaps it's not surprising.

No idea about weight - I daren't look! I know I gained loads in the 11 weeks I was pg last year, starting from the lightest I'd been since before ds, and never managed to lose it afterwards. This time starting off at a more natural weight for me it's not changed as far as I can tell.

Already starting to find my shoes getting tight though - why is it that whenever I get pg my feet grow? They went up a whole size with ds, and another half size in just 11 weeks last time. And they don't shrink again afterwards. It's a good job I didn't live in those Victorian times when people had 10 kids - my feet would have ended up more like flippers!

LunarSea · 15/09/2006 15:35

Diva - I struggled with breast feeding last time too. Never had enough milk and ended up feeding for 18 hours a day. After about 6 weeks, when exhaustion had got the better of me and I'd fallen asleep dh gave ds formula without me knowing and it was the first time either of us actually managed to get a decent night's sleep. Mixed fed from then until about 6 months (had to return to work after 18 weeks then) despite HV's dire prophesies that ds could never be bf again once he'd had even one bottle. Once a day turned out to be all that was necessary to make it work for us.

Have since found out through mumsnet that there's something you can take (called something like Domperidone) which helps to increase your milk supply if thats the problem. I was never told that at the time though.

LunarSea · 15/09/2006 15:35

Bottle feeding once a day that is - just realised it isn't clear.

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 15:56

my bump looks like a fat pot belly, its really low down hangs over my waistband.
I know when Its having a growing surge cos then I can sleep on a washing line.

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 15:58

diva, I really not sure if I will Breastfeed and if I don't I don't care a jot.

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 16:00

Piffle, I think I've got a boy too, no particular reason just a feeling.

Rosylily · 15/09/2006 16:18

I've put on about 10pounds. I am just going to be comfortable with myself. This is last bambino for me so afterwards I am going to work hard to slim down because I will be 40 then and have to fight the middle age spread!
My sister got traumatised by the whole breast feeding thing. It isn't as easy as the romantic posters portray and I find it quite physically demanding but it is handy!

LunarSea · 15/09/2006 16:18

I'd bet on mine being another boy too.

dh had 1 brother and no sisters, his father was one of 5 boys (no girls) and his grandfather one of about 12 boys (with no girls).

So if I have a girl the outlaws will be asking who the father is

onilly · 15/09/2006 16:56

hi all

Back from a nightmare trip in Madrid... seriously. I was the only girl with 7 guys. My bloody bag got lost at Madrid airport and it took all of my power not to have a stroppy hormonal fit.
The guys took the piss thought it was hilarious, and then made sure that I was dropped at decent department store to get clean undies etc. Absolute nightmare.

I must admit I felt very pregnant - we had late dinners all week and it was hard to keep up the excuse about "not drinking at the moment" and sloping off to bed early. I think they were probably relieved when the handbrake (me) did go to bed to sob quietly about having no clothes to wear and wanting to be home in my own bed... I used to enjoy business travel but feel no joy about it now. Hormonal, fat, sick, crampy, tired and basically not me. Very depressing.

Oh well, its been chatty here this week -not sure if I want to enter into debate on birthing issues, frankly hoping to forget that bit!!!
However, Morroco - I think you and I are due the same day !

As for weight - don't try getting into skinny minny Spanish clothes! I have put on 6 pounds very quickly and am very pleased to hear all your bumps are starting to show. I think I will be in maternity clothes in the next week or two.

Have a nice weekend all, I am exhausted and will be spending lots of time catching up with my duvet and pillow.

novadandypowder · 15/09/2006 17:04

We don't have scales at home, but I guess the stone I've added since last time I was pg is a result of not doing so much dancing, and going on a holiday in June that involved eating a lot! Not planning on any more after this so will go back to dancing to slim down if I need to.

Dd is the first girl in DH's family in 5 generations, and we think this one is also a girl, although I have had two dreams where I've given birth to a boy. I really don't mind what I have.

I didn't bf dd at all, no desire to, and even took a pill to stop my milk coming in so didn't have to go through the horrid swollen boobs thing. I go from a C to a D cup in pgcy, and I too would really like a boob job after this. DH did offer to pay for one ages ago, but has changed his mind now. Will def. get them pierced again as had to take the last lot out when I got pg with dd.

novadandypowder · 15/09/2006 17:06

sorry x-ed posts onilly (watching DOND at the same time as typing). Savour your bed and duvet, I bet it will feel fantastic

Jaysecond · 15/09/2006 17:19

jeez you ladies talk! Hi to one and all!

Things here still hectic, (just moved house, from Surrey to Nottingham) why? some people ask.....'becasue' i say! So have spent all this week trying to get things straight and organised while at the same time trying t keep some sort of routine for DD (8Mmths)
As for weight gain, i only got round to losing about 12lbs after DD1 ( i put on about 3 stone ) and i have def put that 12lbs back o my bump has protruded enough now for me to not worry about whether people think i am am fat or pregnant! In fact you will be able to see in a few weeks as i did a photo shoot for First magazine. (it was advertised on here, in the media section) it was one of those nudie 'demi moore' type of things, all very tastefuly done. I believe some other MNters did it also! Was very starnge getting your kit off in front of strangers but then i thought, i have give birth before, plus i wont ever see these people before! All female crew so wasnt too bad!

My boobs havnt got that much bigger this time round, had just stopped BF DD when i found out i was pregnant so i am still producing milk, which is quite strange. Am hoping they dont go up to the G cup i was before! Someone mentioned their feet, i was a seven before DD then towards the end of pregnancy i had terrible swelling (really really painful, so much so i couldnt touch them as i thought they were going to 'tear' open ) anyway, they went up to an eight, and never went back.... hopng i dont go up to a nine this time.....

Sassi @ your tear, poor you, fingers crossed that doenst happen this time round.

hope everyone is feeling ok, welcome to unar and all other newbies that i have missed, we have a huge group happening now dont we!

btw, i think i might have another girl, just a hunch, even though this regnancy is SOOOO diff from the last one, i blame my hunch on DH super fast sperm!

xx
15 wks today

divastrop · 15/09/2006 17:27

thank you all for making me feel better about the bf issue!i fed ds1 for 5 weeks and, well,i ended up wandering round boots with tears in my eyes gazing longingly at the bottles and formula cos i was too scared to tell my xp that i hated breast feeding.i decided never again after that!

wb onilly, sounds like u had a nightmare time,i bet ur glad to be back.

a few ppl seem to be saying this is their last baby.i said that about dd1..and ds2...and dd2.i only still have all dd2's baby stuff(like moses basket, clothes etc)cos she's only 9 months old and i hadnt got round to taking it to the charity shop

kittywits · 15/09/2006 17:44

Thank God I'm not the only flat chested one on here.
I haven't got a clue what I might be having this time. All the other times I had a pretty strong feeling and guess what? Every time I was ...WRONG ....
I'm very tired today. I'm sleeping SO badly anyone else become a restless slepper?

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 18:07

yes I have rubbish sleep, I close my eyes and have many crazy dreams for what seems to be 20 mins when I open them a hour and half has passed and I still feel c**p

onilly · 15/09/2006 18:13

kittywits, yes - for first three months slept like the dead, used to be exhausted and would drop.
Now am just exhausted but when finally get to bed lie awake forever or drop into very light sleep....and then the bloody alarm goes off. Its driving me crazy.
Are you still sleeping on your back - I read now is about to stop.... so that makes it even worse, no back or stomach, just side - I sense six months of insomnia coming up !!!!

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 18:13

I hear some people have erotic dreams? no such luck for me.
Does anyone still wake up and think, whats that I've got to remember.. OMG I'm pregnant!
I do its really annoying.

onilly · 15/09/2006 18:16

penny --- omg - YESS! This is followed by puking in the loo !

pennygaff · 15/09/2006 18:19

yes thats the one

kittywits · 15/09/2006 18:34

I'm I side sleeper most of the time. But I still have trouble beleiving that I am actually pregnant. It still seems so surreal.
