I hope thouse not well feel better soon
and you all have good sundays

im sorry to hear so many of you having hard times with work
when i went in and told them hospital had said i need to start mat leave that day and not go in the bosses were fine, one person i worked with said we new you had been planning somthing (not sure how i could plan to leave a month early i wanted to work to the end) and one was so angrey at me she did not even say buy
So now on mat leave
spend my days trying to walk the two hours been told to do and go swimming im also trying not to keep shouting at DH i have become very neady and sensative Blush

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 06/04/2014 11:27

Bloody hell chip they were angry at you? Did she explain why? That's shocking! Shock

Chip86 · 06/04/2014 11:34

No she did not say anything she been upset with me since she found out i was having a baby she is 50's never had children and hates kids and working mums and stay at home mums she feels that her hard earned money all goes on taxes to pay for my child and for me to have a year off to go on a jolly, she been spreading lies about me round the office as well, glad to see the back of her, work is her whole life she has no life and noboady i do feel a bit sorry for her

moobaloo · 06/04/2014 12:08

Blimey chip she doesn't sound very nice! But I am a little sympathetic in that she is maybe jealous/sad she hasn't had children... Maybe she did want them at one time? Not good to take it out on you though, it's not your fault xxx

3 weeks left at work but pt time so it's 8 actual working days!

Re. Pregnancy isn't an illness - I totally agree and have huge sympathy for those who are suffering, you are amazing heroines! BUT I get annoyed with the amount of people treating me like I'm made of glass because I'm pregnant! I can lift a bag of shopping y'know Hmm

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 06/04/2014 12:25

Aww chip I feel sorry for her if it's because she's sad she never got to have children... still not fair of her to take it out on you though! She doesn't sound very nice regardless of her situation :(

moobaloo I just wish people could find a balance Grin I can carry shopping bags but I can't tie my own shoes maybe because I'm still squeezing big huge swollen feet into my old trainers

dobedobedo · 06/04/2014 13:32

chip how awful! She sounds like a very sad person.

Today I'm mainly feeling like I've been kicked in the fanny by a horse. Confused Spd is fun isn't it? When my hips aren't killing me, my pubic bone feels like it's smashed to bits. I rested all day yesterday and most of the swelling in my legs etc has went down, but this pain won't go away. Do they induce at 40 wks if Spd is v bad?

I had a phone call from a midwife I've never seen before to book a home visit before the baby gets here to see if I'm ready for the baby. Is this weird? I've already had a health visitor visit!

Chip86 · 06/04/2014 14:00

I think you are all right she is jealouse so i do try not to let it bother me

Moomin i know how you feel i only wear slip on shoes, i hate putting on sockes and if something falls on the floor it just makes you want to cry Grin

dobe that does not sound nice, i do hope you are feeling a bit better soon

Vikks · 06/04/2014 14:06

Hi All. Sorry I'm pants at posting but read everyday. Smile

Dobe Grin Grin I nearly spat my tea everywhere laughing re. Kicked by a horse!!! It does sound horrible though I really feel for those of you suffering.
Add me to the started MAT leave list. Although running around after DS doesn't feel like it!

Moo I feel a bit like my family are wrapping me in cotton wool, I'm trying not to be too hard on them but it does grate sometime.

I've been trying to focus on my hypnobirthing, I really enjoyed my first class. I was the only second time mum there, they kept asking me about my first birth and I didn't want to say too much because we are supposed to be removing the 'fear' of childbirth. Confused I hope it works, I do not want a repeat of last time. Has anyone used hypnobirthing for a previous birth?

Enjoy your Sunday all x x

kally195 · 06/04/2014 17:01

Sorry so many are fed up and not getting much support/sympathy.

I feel like I am getting there - made massive progress on the house in the last couple of weeks, including getting the final bit of furniture in the nursery. Need to get a few more bits for the hospital bag, then pack it.

Just have to decide what size vests/sleepsuits to get for the first few days. DH will be doing a run to Sainsbury's (gorgeous baby girl clothes there at the mo) once she is here and we know size, but figure we still need SOMETHING to put her in! What is everyone doing size wise?

I have one day of leave left then back to work on Tuesday. I have 12 x 12 hour shifts to get through then I am on maternity leave. Slightly dreading going back - I seem to be getting more tired and sleeping is fast becoming an issue. I'm currently 34+1, and the plan is to work my last shift when I am 37+1.

To those who were asking - my mum does not appear to have any particular reason for thinking the I won't go full term, apart from the fact that the head has been engaged since about 32 weeks! She also reckons I won't get much bigger - again no idea why!

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 06/04/2014 17:47

On labour ward yet again... Possible pre eclampsia :( high BP and protein in my wee. Waiting for bloods :(

NestingNesting123 · 06/04/2014 18:04

I'm glad to hear your placenta has moved pickle

It's impossible to know about sizing isn't it kally - I've bought some newborn and 0-3 months stuff and if the baby is any smaller than the 7.5lbs that seems to be the size newborn is intended for DH will have to run to the shops quickly! Sainsbury's does have lovely stuff just now, so does Tesco.

I hope you're ok Moomin.

I appear to be loaded with the cold, so that's nice. I'm even finding it tiring to type this message Wink I am only 32+3, no idea how I would have coped if I hadn't been forced to give up work early.

Bornin1984 · 06/04/2014 18:11

Moomin!! Just
Get that babysit now!!! Hmm

dobedobedo · 06/04/2014 18:32

moomin fingers crossed for you! Keep us updated!

I have only bought 0-3 month stuff and a couple of tesco "up to one month" suits. Ds was 8lbs 7oz at birth so I figure this baby will be at least that. Of course if he comes earlier than ds did I'll need smaller. Maybe I should get a couple of newborn size. Should I?

Isean · 06/04/2014 18:45

Oh no Moomin! Fingers crossed it isn't pre-eclampsia!
Keep your chin up! x

Chip86 · 06/04/2014 18:59

moomin hope its not, poor you thinking of you, at least your in the best place and they will look after you

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 06/04/2014 19:01

Not pre eclampsia but they're keeping me in, sending consultant to see me tomorrow to discuss getting baby out :(

Vikks · 06/04/2014 19:09

Hope you manage to get some rest Moomin, you're in the best place. Keep us posted when you can x Thanks

Bornin1984 · 06/04/2014 19:11

Your baby will just be fine moomin x

Xavielli · 06/04/2014 19:23

Rest up moomin. Hopefully this means baby very soon xx

Jellymum1 · 06/04/2014 19:30

aw moomin being in hospital sucks as dose worrying about our little ones. hope everything turns out ok. sending lots of love x

MrsFooCough · 06/04/2014 20:08

Moomin my darling don't fret or worry. You're in pain and there's something not 100% right if you're swelling and having high BP, so if they do want to get baby out ASAP then it's the best thing for both of you. I've just about got used to the fact that our Bean is coming early, not because I've done anything wrong or let Bean down but because there is something beyond my control that is dictating how and when we get to meet him/her.
What's happening to you is beyond your control and is absolutely nothing to be upset about! Your little one is basically fully baked now innit? You're 37wks or so am I right? So MiniMoom is in as good a position as he/she can be!

No worrying unless the doctors tell you to. That's a MN order Grin

Lots of hugs and love

loopylou52 · 06/04/2014 20:34

Big hugs moomin, you're in the best place. Keep us posted. Thanks

Sorry to those having a crappy time with work people etc. Just remind yourself you have far more exciting things going on in your life to worry about them!

Re clothes sizes, we had bought quite a few things in newborn size (mostly Mothercare, and I think their newborn stuff goes up to 11lb) and got a few things in 0-3 in case the baby was big. Now we know about the baby being so small we've been out today and bought some things in tiny baby (Mothercare again, so they still say up to 7.5lbs so may still be too big). I figure buying all these tiny clothes might envoke Sod's Law and mean that we end up with a giant overdue baby, but at the moment I feel like I'd be happy with that. Keep having panic moments about baby being ok and the fact that I don't feel ready yet! Confused

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 06/04/2014 21:11

OH has just gone home :( they just did my BP and it was fine so guessing tomorrow will be a case of its fine, we'll induce you at 40 weeks as planned.

I'm torn between thinking thank god, I don't have any Tiny Baby babygros, and wanting to cry because I want this baby out, my nerves are shot to bits, I feel awful, im already having sleepless nights! I just want the baby out now :(

Bornin1984 · 06/04/2014 21:15

I would like to think if you have ongoing issues with bp and stuff they will monitor you more closely and give you a more realistic induction!

Babies born at a less gestation than we are now thrive so try not to worry!!

Final hospital bag packed! Eta 8 days!!

moobaloo · 06/04/2014 21:28

(Hugs) Moomin - tomorrow is a new day. Hopefully once you know what they're planning re induction it'll be much easier to deal with than not knowing. If they want to induce this week you can send dp for a few tiny baby babygros, he or she probably won't be too tiny for too long, I just googled and the average baby is 6.5 lbs at 37 weeks, only 1lb short of average newborn weight!

I think as soon as you know a date it'll be a huge relief for you Smile

Xxx
