So I got a stupidly early faint positive today at 9dpo when I should definitely know better after a chemical last month. According to the Calendar I'm due December 1st so I've decided to be massively optimistic and start this thread. Is there anybody put there?

Evening ladies :) how is everyone tonight?? I have eaten my body weight today!! I get so hungry that I feel sick so have to eat lol!!!

ImBrian · 03/04/2014 19:44

Somehow I have lost my appetite! I start feeling worse about now so the last thing I want is food. Same first thing but lunch time is generally ok. All my others I've eaten a lot from day one.

Evening All
Sweep I was really truly sorry to read your post and I echo what some others have said about a visit to GP.

Welcome to the new additions to the thread
I bit the bullet and went to see GP after work today. She will ring EPAU in the morning to ask if I can have an early scan due to past losses. She said they may not do one unless I get bleeding or pain but it's worth a try. Still symptom free at the moment. Holding out til the weekend to do another cb digi to see if it's gone up to 3+ or not.
Hubby is out doing parents evening tonight so DD is fast asleep in bed and I'm in my pjs enjoying hot choc and a Grey's anatomy boxset trying not to think about pregnancy or babies as it's driving me mad!
I haven't eaten much the last couple of days - not due to nausea, I just don't seem to be very hungry - very different to my last pregnancy where I was constantly eating beige food (carb city!)

Vicky5910 · 03/04/2014 20:54

Ladies put my mind to rest, are you having any pains? More than the stretching, pulling feelings? It's quite sharp, and comes and goes. Nothing else happening, it's just hurting :(

Vicky, not so far, but had really bad cramps when pg with DS1 (kept on expecting AF to start sort of cramps)>

Sweep, best of luck in the future and hope you're back on this side asap. x

Chicken, I had an early scan with DS2 as he was a cycle after mc baby, I'm having one again this time as I don't feel very pregnant (zero symptoms other than big boobs). I would recommend one, but if you're like me, it will only reassure you until the next ache or pain!

I gave away all my baby/pregnancy stuff last month, bloody typical! This is the first test DH has been home for (others it's been over the phone) so he's happy/dazed.

at the few faces/names I recognise

Loaf99 · 03/04/2014 22:40

Just getting to grips with how to use mums met threads! Have spent today and yesterday in a daze thinking I'm pregnant and only me and him know!! My grandma died in November it is like she has handed over the Batton!

ziggystarducks · 03/04/2014 22:58

Evening all, welcome to all new joiners xx

So far, I'm feeling really good. No nausea since a patch on Monday morning, if anything I'm aware that my appetite has increased a lot!! As a sufferer of HG in both previous pregnancies, I was most anxious about 8 months of chronic nausea. I saw a NHS approved hypnotist on Tuesday eve who works with chemo patients to help with nausea, she also treats HG, so maybe....just maybe....... fingers crossed

We've booked the Harmony test for mid April.

I am sorry to hear about your news Sweep, as the previous posters said i hope you have a lot of support in RL x

Welcome to all the newbies :)

Bettycakes80 · 04/04/2014 07:49

Ladies all the chat about symptoms is really reassuring! It's nice to hear from people going through exactly the same thing. Anyone else had teary episode yet? I accidentally locked the cat outside for 5 minutes in the rain the other day and I cried for about half an hour when I realised! He looked do sorry for himself it just set me off bawling. Few different posts on Facebook have done the same thing. So not like me!

rockstars12 · 04/04/2014 08:16

Welcome new peeps!
So I've finally called and got an appointment with the doctor today. This was promptly followed by a bout of nervous tummy problems with my IBS. I don't know why I find going to the docs an issue to get a referral, though I did have a bad experience with one lately who made me incredibly upset and insisted I was depressed rather than it was something else. I wasn't depressed, I've been to the pits of hell depressed many years ago so knew I was fine. Anyway, that with my irrational worry if I start moving forward with things ill mc.
Tried to work out which hospital in London I want to be attached to when I ave the choice of 4 very nearby and struggling to decide. Until I'm a bit further along I won't know if there will be complications. I'm worried about the care on the wards after should there be issues. They all have dire reviews for that.

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 04/04/2014 08:42

Taking myself off the list :(

All the best ladies, I hope your endings are all happier than mine.

MrsFtn · 04/04/2014 08:47

I know what you mean rockstars. When I went to the GP yesterday I was a wreck thinking I was tempting fate or something. She said my bp was ok but my pulse rate was high because I was so nervous! I also cried as soon as she asked me why I was there and had to convince her that this is a wanted pregnancy! Going to wait til 8 weeks to book mw appt.
If I am not given early nhs scan I'm now thinking of booking a private one for reassurance. DH is keen on the idea too.

chillychicken · 04/04/2014 08:49

So sorry Ihaveto Sad

MrsFtn · 04/04/2014 08:50

Oh crossed posts! I'm really sorry ihavetowait. I hope you are getting lots of support Thanks

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 04/04/2014 09:19

I'm on holiday so the timing is just perfect!

It's our last day and I know it sounds silly, but the thing making me most sad at the moment is the fact that I won't now be able to take my son swimming, which he asked to do as soon as he woke up (his confidence in the pool has come on amazingly while we've been here)

He did climb into bed with me, give me a cuddle and say "I love you mummy" straight after, so that's helping me focus on my blessings. I'm just so sad that he's going to have to wait longer for his little brother or sister. This is MC 2 now, but we'll keep trying. Hopefully the next one will stick!

Thanks for the support in the short time I was here, you're a lovely bunch and I wish you all the best

BobaFetaCheese · 04/04/2014 09:39

So sorry for your loss Ihaveto, your son sounds lovely. Hope you get to give him a sibling asap. xx

chillychicken · 04/04/2014 09:58

I used a digi last night...DH said "don't get your hopes up" mainly because it was 6.30 and I'd only peed an hour earlier.

The result flashed up pretty quickly. "Well that's quite clear cut then isn't it?" was DH's comment. It feels a bit more real today.

December 2014, anyone else yet?
isambardo · 04/04/2014 10:59

So sorry to hear your news sweep and ihaveto. All the best for the future to both of you.

Nice to use a digi chillychicken and see it written there!

I thought morning sickness had started but it turned out to be food poisoning. I couldn't keep anything down for 24 hours, combined with pregnancy and still breastfeeding my 16mo son, I feel well and truly drained! I still have no pregnancy symptoms at all, very unlike my last pregnancy. had to poas again this morning and thankfully the line is much darker.

All the best to those having appointments or scans soon, I'm waiting a while until I book anything.

Jo178 · 04/04/2014 12:06

Hi ladies, please may I join you all? Got my bfp on Monday, still in shock! EDD is 11th Dec. I have one DD who is 2.5.
Still feeling the urge to poas every couple of days and now worried that this mornings line isn't darker than Wednesday's. Sigh.
Have also had some one sided pain last night and now stressing over every cramp and niggle! Why do we do this to ourselves?

Filled in the referral to the midwife form yesterday and started to make some enquiries about nifty testing as I'll be 39 when baby comes.
Wishing us all happy and healthy pregnancies and babies!

ffallada · 04/04/2014 12:38

Oh my isambardo it sounds like you have a lot going on.
I have done three tests since yesterday, one digi and two freedom. results are the same, so its final then.
Odd. have wanted / planned this for ages. now changing my mind. It seems like most people here already have children. Perhaps I should look for a first time thread. I have not even held a baby before. DH is the same. At this stage I would really prefer to get another dog, even a puppy. I really prefer animals to children.

BobaFetaCheese · 04/04/2014 13:05

ffallada, we were the same before we had our first ds (our pets came first), but it's changed, I love my Ds's so much...other people's children still, on the whole, do nothing for me. So if you're odd so am I Grin

I'm on test 3 and breaking open the digis next week ,my name is Boba and I'm a poas-aholic.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 04/04/2014 13:18

Ffallanda I was considering making a Christmas babies thread for first time mums as it's such a life changing thing when it's your first. Would anyone else like such a thread? If so we should make one!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 04/04/2014 13:19

Congratulations Jo!! Is this your first? :)
