So I got a stupidly early faint positive today at 9dpo when I should definitely know better after a chemical last month. According to the Calendar I'm due December 1st so I've decided to be massively optimistic and start this thread. Is there anybody put there?

punkypod we have exactly the same dates. I'm 5+4 today. Going to see go tomorrow, but uveal ready booked the harmony package with the fmc on Harley street.
I also caved and bought a fetal Doppler on amazon for £20 so I can find the heart beat myself hopefully when I'm a little further along. My first scan won't be til 10 weeks.

chillychicken · 03/04/2014 11:10

Thanks punky that puts my mind at rest Smile It's just achey really. The months before when I haven't been pregnant, I've had bad pains on one side. I was actually planning on seeing the doc about that soon, I might mention it when I book in actually.

It seems too early to book in! Should I wait until I'm 5 weeks before calling for an appointment?

Still finding the dating thing hard. I'm convinced I'm 3+6 but every website I put my dates in, puts me at 4 so we'll go with 4 as that sounds better Grin

4 weeks. 12 weeks seems like a lifetime away! How on earth I'll keep my mouth shut for another 8 weeks, I don't know! Grin

rockstars12 · 03/04/2014 11:19

chilly you can make appointment at any time. They say the sooner the better really. I've just been too scared to do it.

chillychicken · 03/04/2014 11:22

Ok, I'm still going to wait until next week though Grin

Ooh, appointments have been released online for 15th. Is that too long to wait? I'll be 5+5.

chillychicken · 03/04/2014 11:32

Oh sod it, I've made the appointment but I'm going to call later and ask if I need to go through doctor or direct to midwife. I know every area and surgery is different, just wish they'd make it easier to find out what to do!

SweepTheHalls · 03/04/2014 11:33

Looks I'm bowing out. 2 negative tests this morning. Good luck to the rest of you.

rockstars12 · 03/04/2014 11:36

sweep have you had bleeding or a period? How far should you be by your calculations?

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 03/04/2014 12:06

Oh no sweep? Have u had any bleeding etc?
My oh keeps wanting me to do more tests but I'm scared it will come back negative. Hope your ok
Thanks to everyone for sharing your situations :)
I work full time and commute 2.5 hours a day into London and my oh works full time and commutes an hour a day so really not sure how it will all work out when baby comes.

PunkyPod · 03/04/2014 12:07

Sweep how far along do you think you should be? I hope you are ok? Thanks

Chilly I only waited til 5+4 because I was busy before that but also around 5 weeks has historically been my MC time. I just wanted to get past that hurdle and by the looks of it I have....I'm still apprehensive though.

Yup Rock edd by lmp is 30/11 but I ovulated a couple of days later so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm actually about 5+2.

Penguin13 · 03/04/2014 12:13

Hi all . I was invited over here by Rockstars so I hope it's ok if I join you all.

Sweep I'm so sorry you're going through this. I hope you have lots of RL support.

I'm Penguin, 34, due 05 Dec. This will be my first. I had a MMC discovered at 13 weeks in November so taking one day at a time and counting no chickens. Aiming for an early private scan around 7.5 weeks. My symptoms have significantly dropped off in the last couple of days (sore boobs, faintness and extra peeing have all vanished) so am not feeling particularly hopeful after last time but trying to remember the mantra 'today I am pregnant'.

chillychicken · 03/04/2014 12:15

Oh sweep Sad

punky I made the appointment online and then called the surgery. Receptionist was lovely and told me that it's straight to midwife so I'll have an appointment when I'm around 8-9 weeks. Have cancelled the GP appointment as have no reason to see her!

I've heard about early reassurance scans, can't decide whether or not to have one. Anyone here thought about them?

Abouttime · 03/04/2014 12:35

Chilly we have the same due date! Im due 12/12, last period was 7/3 but my cycle is only 26 days so im not 4 weeks until tomorrow.

Im very crampy & feel like af is gonna start but this is #3 and i had the same with #2. Def not getting my hopes up tho as im quite a negative person anyway.

Ic lines quite strong today so gonna buy a digi this weekend. Not told DP yet!

Hi to everyone else :-)

PunkyPod · 03/04/2014 13:09

Hi Penguin! Lovely to have you join us. I hope you have a smooth and healthy experience this time.

Chilly as much as I'd love an early scan we won't be paying for one so I'll be waiting til 12 weeks. I had a dating scan at about 9 weeks with my dd as she was conceived immediately after a MC so my dates were unclear. It was literally a bean with a hb on the screen. Amazingly 3 weeks later is was a baby, clear as day. Don't feel like you have to fork out for a scan at this point, they are often very expensive.

rockstars12 · 03/04/2014 13:16

Hi penguin welcome to the dec thread! How are you feeling at the moment? Any symptoms?
Dh was cleaning and I felt guilty so started to help. Started to gag as a result of the bending over and nearly threw up. Dh told me to sit my ass on the sofa. If he insists! Lol

ffallada · 03/04/2014 13:39

Hi all. I've had a lovely time reading through your messages - I'm a little new to this really. Thought I should post something or I would feel like a silent stalker. And I feel terribly excited. I've just done a clearblue and it says I'm 1-2 weeks, due date on the 17th December. WOW. I stopped taking the folic acid supplements last month cause I decided it wasn't going to happen naturally (have been off the pill for 5 months). Woops!
Wondering at what point I should tell my husband!

chillychicken · 03/04/2014 14:01

Hi ffallada and penguin!

I'm sure you'll be ok if you start taking the folic acid again now ffallada Smile

Ok. I might add myself to the list. Gulp.

Not great, but 2 negative tests is pretty conclusive. Some things are just not meant to be.

somethingwittynot · 03/04/2014 14:27

Im booking an early scan around 9 weeks

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 03/04/2014 14:27

Congratulations penguin and ffallanda!
5 weeks today! Boobs still sore and really really hungry all the time! Don't seem to be weeing as much which is making me worry! Duh silly I know!!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 03/04/2014 14:29

Get yourself to the docs sweep :(

Penguin13 · 03/04/2014 14:32

Welcome ffallada and congratulations!

Chilly I think early scans are such a personal thing. Last time I was pregnant I couldn't understand people paying to have them. Then I had a missed miscarriage discovered at 13 weeks when the baby had stopped growing at around 6 weeks. That is why I am booking one this time around. Less a reassurance scan than a protection for me. If I have lost the baby I don't want to find out a month and a half later.

I had been feeling quite positive about this pregnancy but I basically have no symptoms any more which was what happened last time so not holding out much hope.

ImBrian · 03/04/2014 15:38

Sweep we're the tests the same kind you got your bfp on? Some aren't quite as sensitive. The docs is a good idea, they can do bloods and see what's going on.

Rock I can't decide between harmony and nifty. The nifty test is cheaper and they do it in Leeds so I'm leaning towards that.

I'm planning on a private scan in a couple of weeks to work out dates as I conceived straight after a mc. I'm either 5+4 or 6+1 or somewhere inbetween!

OP posts:
rockstars12 · 03/04/2014 15:56

imbrian I've gone with harmony at the fetal medicine centre as they come highly recommended. They do a viability scan but it isn't until 10 weeks. I wanted one sooner as I'm impatient. Have to debate whether I want to pay an additional £100 for another viability on top of the £400 for the armony package.

ImBrian · 03/04/2014 16:55

I'm paying £90 for viability and then the nifty is just short of £300 so it works out about the same. Nifty tests for micro duplications as well but that's the only difference I can see. Will you find out the sex? It'll be strange knowing so early!

OP posts:
rockstars12 · 03/04/2014 17:29

We would like to find out the sex as soon as possible. I want to know bit more bout our tiny human.
