WELCOME! Thanks This thread is for all Mums-to-be expecting Maybies babies in (and around) May 2014! Please come and join the fun.

Put your feet up, get yourself a (decaf?) cuppa Brew and settle in to hear the aches and pains, trials and tribulations, shopping excitement and hospital bag woes of those in their third trimester.

Hopefully you'll find a listening ear and a wealth of knowledge. Everyone welcome, especially if you're new to MN and are just peeking in as you start your maternity leave.

I have diabetes so baby can grow bigger than normal

Rigbyroo · 24/03/2014 17:39

Thanks bornin. Hope you are doing well. Can't believe you only have 4 weeks!

Bornin1984 · 24/03/2014 17:43

Im33+5 but having elective at 37+6 as baby tummy is big! Next growth scan 8th April!!

MrsFooCough · 24/03/2014 18:50

Same as bornin , rigby - I've got gestational diabetes, so growth scans every 4wks (30, 34 then probably before they probably want to induce me at 38). Chances are that this one won't have a big tummy (the measurement they look for at the diabetes growth scans) but will be/is quite long, DH and I were both born at least 22inches long! But hey, only two days to go until we find out how GINORMO MiniFoo is!

NannyPlumForPM · 24/03/2014 18:57

Think they induce me between 37 and 38 so that could be 2+6 weeks Shock Shock Shock

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 24/03/2014 18:57

Woo Isean and Bornin that's so soon!

My due date is 5 weeks today so wouldn't have thought im next... That said, I'm not sure how much longer I can last with the pain so never say never.. And they'll induce at 40 weeks if not. Scary how soon it is.

Had some reeeeally painful BH this evening and pressure down below... tmi but it feels like somethings about to fall out of my foof, does that mean baby is engaging? I know they can bob in and out a bit at this stage.

dobedobedo · 24/03/2014 20:25

Awww I wish I knew when baby was coming! A bit jealous!

moomin I feel like that sometimes! But I'm pretty sure no one has walked down the street and had a baby fall out, so hopefully we'll be fine! Grin

I have a severe case of needle vag this evening. It's like being, well, stabbed in the foof with a knitting needle. Bloody excruciating at times! Dh was most amused by my jumping about saying "fuck ow fuck ow fuck fuck fuck!"

Bezzabelle · 24/03/2014 22:11

I have growth scans as have Grave's disease. At last one at 29 +4, estimated weight was 3lb 1oz.

Squiffie · 24/03/2014 22:18

I have growth scans as I have gestational diabetes too. I'm back at the hospital on Wednesday for my next one, I'll be 32 weeks. X x

ClearlyMoo · 24/03/2014 22:49

Good night all. I've had a crazy day. Massive commute this am in to furthest office. Decided it was last time I was driving 1hr15+ so bought cookies and told them it was my last day. Packed desk up and said bye to everyone. Such a relief. Had been going back there next week but I'll work from home then instead.

Walked to a shop with colleague at lunch. Silly. Most walking I've done in 3 weeks. Aching a lot now! I think DH was a bit miffed at me for wrecking self! Lesson learned.

No growth scans here. 34 week check tomorrow (at 33+3)! Eeek! Anything special happen at 34 check? Hope to hear heartbeat again, it does reassure me so!

Haven't had any BH yet! And I haven't felt any hiccups. DS1 used to have them all the time!

Got a midwife app on Thursday and a scan in two weeks. Can't wait to see little fidget again on the screen. This baby is a raver! Or a boxer!

Feeling very tired! Even fell asleep for half an hour earlier in DS1's bed after reading his stories!

Had an emotional weekend for no reason (apart from hormones). I haven't had any tears at all throughout this pregnancy but this weekend, I spent all Saturday and Sunday being on the brink of a meltdown and fighting back the tears. I didn't actually cry though! Wished I had as I think it makes you feel better having that release! I bought myself a new vase and some gorgeous lilies to cheer myself up ThanksThanksThanks.

My last post on Friday didn't appear so think I might be having issues putting messages on via my ipad! It was a mammoth post that i just couldn't be bothered to typed out again. We shall see if this one works! Blush

JodeyP · 24/03/2014 22:53

Yep! Grin Good good xxx

31+3

randdom · 24/03/2014 22:54

I feel so far behind (only 30 +3 ) so hopefully won't be meeting bump too soon! Have my whooping cough jab on Wednesday and survived ikea today!

impatientlywaiting · 24/03/2014 22:58

No growth scans for me either. Know it's a good thing as I've had a very boring pregnancy, but would love a chance to see the baby again.

My back is starting to really ache. Even lying in bed it is really painful, and getting out of the bed, or off the sofa, is met with a comedy walk as I try and shuffle my way around until it relaxation up enough to move normally.

MrsFooCough · 24/03/2014 23:28

randdom I'd be meeting my Bean almost the same time as you if I didn't have gestational diabetes! I'm 30+2 today!

Xavielli · 25/03/2014 07:03

Great to hear from you Isean hope you're doing well. I'm seeing my consultant on 10th April so will get my induction date then :) and another scan!

I've got everything I need for the baby now - looooooove my buggy! Dd2 seems to enjoy being in it too, she pushes it into the living room and sits in it to watch tv. Can't find my little wheely bag to take to the hospital though.... Must replace it and get my bag packed.

Xavielli · 25/03/2014 07:03

34+3 maximum of 4 weeks left.

psynl · 25/03/2014 07:12

35 weeks today and I will definitely have a baby in 4 weeks - I'm hoping it will be 3 weeks but I will find out at my next appointment.
It seems so close yet time is dragging! I've been on maternity leave for a week and I'm getting a bit fidgety -not used to not being busy!
Hope everyone has a good day

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 25/03/2014 07:28

Ugh looks like I'm going to have to try and book a midwife appt today.. Woken up at 5 this morning by weird sharp headache and my face is puffy. Hands are so swollen I can't curl it into a fist on either side and its come on out of nowhere, I felt pretty good last night :(

Fed up of hospitals and doctors and being poked and prodded!

dobedobedo · 25/03/2014 07:42

Yikes moomin! Hope you're okay! Thanks

Today is my penultimate pay day before shite maternity pay kicks in which means we have to get the last bits for the baby! Woo! Shopping guilt free! Grin

bushprincess · 25/03/2014 08:16

oh no moomin hope you're ok - let us know as soon as you've seen the midwife Thanks

wow - xavelli and psynl two more meeting their little ones soon - so exciting!!!

DH just came home with a rocking chair for me!!! so sweet! Needs a bit of work but it's going to be his project (along with fitting the car seat, getting a dog guard, fencing the pool etc!) for when I'm back in the UK, such a lovely thought Smile I just tried it out with the jack russel standing in for bean and I reckon it'll make a lovely nursing chair Grin

loopylou52 · 25/03/2014 08:18

Hope you're ok moomin.

Rather scary/exciting to know so many of these babies are coming so soon - eek! Hoping mine stays put for a while yet.

Sorry for not name checking others but having a hectic, stressful week as it's my last week at work. Just have to get through to Friday and then I can collapse in bed for a week!

wm3010 · 25/03/2014 08:40

Moomin hope you get seen shortly and everything is ok.

How exciting that so many of us know when the babies are coming!

Have a great acid reflux/heartburn/constipation coming along here leaving me feeling really bloated on top of having the big bump. Have given in and bought prunes and dried apricots this morning, any other tips would be welcome...

MasterFlea · 25/03/2014 09:01

Hope you get seen to asap Moomin.

I can't believe that I still have over a month to go. Maybe two months. Feels like I have been pregnant FOREVER! 32 weeks today and I'm the size of a whale.
Was up at 4am swigging gaviscon.

wm Blueberries are helpful for constipation too. And drink loads of water. Plum juice is quite nice too.

Piles have returned for me. How lovely!

SarahJinx · 25/03/2014 09:22

Grrr 34 week midwife yesterday and for the first time ever there was sugar in my sample, so am back at the hospital today for GTT number two. What an arse ache. I know its for the best but the two hour wait is miiiinnndd nuuummmbbbiiiing.

whinge whinge.

Anyhoo, I had a growth scan at 32 weeks to check anterior placenta and due to higher bmi. My baby is huge, tracking at 34+5 that day....back again post consultant next week.
