We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Sorry didn't finish!

Physical job. Her advice was your body will tell you when you can't do something, she was absolutely right. I knew instinctively when to slow down.

Scared myself last night reading about how bad morning sickness can be a sign of twins. Ha I thought - no twins in my family. Then my great auntie visited my mum for tea and talking family history reminded me that amongst her 7 sisters there were 2 sets of twins!!

STIGZ · 09/03/2014 08:24

Hi just wondering when you received a date for your booking appt? Im currently 7 wks 3 days with dc2.
Still no word from midwife?

Thanks in advance for any replies

mrsb87 · 09/03/2014 08:44

stigz you don't normally have a booking in appt til 10-12 weeks. If you haven't eard anything by week 9
Give your local maternity dept a call.

mrsb87 · 09/03/2014 08:49

Eard!? Heard. Sorry my typing skills are awful and I hadn't finished!

binky I know how you you feel with the lack of sleep, I normally sleep on my tummy but it seems to be getting more solid and uncomfortable already! Waking up, tossing and turning, fidgeting and I juat can't get comfortable. Dh and I have dtd 3 times since bfp, even with HG I woke up on those days feeling seriously up for it and just had to go with it! Had no bleeding or spotting etc, still definitely a baby in there!

ohthegoats · 09/03/2014 09:01

We're having sex as much as we did before I got pregnant. It's massively important to me, so even when I was feeling really ropey some mornings, I carried on. I found it helped with the sick feeling and with the sore boobs. We're grabbing the non sick feeling opportunities though.. "yes, you could carry on cooking dinner/reading the paper/planting things... or, I'm not feeling sick.. " It's been quite entertaining. Less acrobatic, more 'you're still wearing your coat and I think your pants are in the kitchen'.

Meanwhile I feel alright today, which means mega gardening in the sunshine. Ace.

binkybunny · 09/03/2014 09:03

Stigz give them a call I think it depends where you are as to when you see the midwife. Where I am in Scotland its 8 weeks but from reading others posts sone places seem to be 10-12 weeks.

Mrsb my fears really are silly and very badly timed! I know it cant hurt!

lilystem · 09/03/2014 09:09

Around here it's 8 weeks for booking in. Ring them if your not sure

BlueberryPoppy123 · 09/03/2014 09:38

I'm supposed to be 9 weeks Tuesday... And haven't heard a peep from midwife with DS I had a call within 24hours... I think it's wrong that they don't even let you know a date to meet midwife even if it's a month in the future! Would ease a lot of unnecessary worry in my opinion... Thanks for all the messages I'll try to keep my depressive messages at bay ha major tummy cramps today think it's because I haven't been to the loo in 4 days :( bad times!

Blueberry - try Fruit N Fibre. Went through me like a rope last week (when NOTHING else was working - even All bran hadn't worked, dried fruit on its own, nope).. I feel 100% better since I actually started being able to poo properly. Also I was getting so many stomach cramps that it was just causing loads of unnecessary panicking.

mrsb87 · 09/03/2014 09:41

Uh-ooh senokot time blueberry!

pebble82 · 09/03/2014 10:39

binky I feel exactly the same. It's silly but understandable. What keeps going through my mind is on the one had GP said it's fine. On the other why do they suggest not to dtd to high risk women if it doesn't cause any problems.

I was in the mood this morning but DP made his excuses and got up and showered. I know he's not gone off me, he's normally up for it so think he's worried about hurting the baby too. Grr. Maybe after 12 week scan it'll be better.

Its a natural laxative, blueberry, if that doesn't work you will have to see the doctor about some suppositories as being so constipated will make you feel more nauseous.

puppythedog · 09/03/2014 14:47

Pears are naturally good at softening your stools which help with having a poo. There are lots of good remedies you can buy over the counter but would need to check with a pharmacist such as movicol or decussate sodium.

Alternatively for natural solutions drink lots more water, up your intake of vegetables and high fibre things like bran flakes. As mentioned earlier pears are good for softening.

Also if you are used to being able to go regularly without any real effort etc you may need to put lots of effort into getting it moving again.

I hope that helps. Good luck, any more than 7 days without any bowel movement and I would suggest talking to GP or Midwife.

Kirstipops · 09/03/2014 15:09

Ooft 4 days must be really uncomfortable, I've really had to up my water intake as well to deal with the same problem. I'm hypothyroid and heard deyhdration can be a problem during pregnancy for hypo ladies so I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone! Fruit has lots of water in it too so maybe lots more oranges etc!?

ohthegoats · 09/03/2014 15:54

Pineapple, jelly. Two things that I think are giving me more liquid.

I've realised today that I've become a wimp. Justoso exhausted so quickly when doing anything physical. It's quite frustrating.

cottonwool4brains · 09/03/2014 16:04

I haven't been on here for ages. I need to moan at someone today though so I apologise in advance.
I feel so rough! I am 8 weeks, I thought this would have eased off? I feel enormous, can't poo, am constantly nauseous and can't stand the sight of most food.
Trying not to tell anyone, people at work are getting suspicious. I work in a hospital, I went to a crash call last week and vomited when I got there as the poor patient had pooed, the smell was too much.
I have finished whineing now, sorry....

Loulou888 · 09/03/2014 16:13

I had to go to the doctors with my first as I couldn't go to the toilet for days. They gave me a sweet glucose type syrup. It worked for me. I couldn't stand the natural remedies taste. Yuk when you are already feeling rough. X

mum2kiss · 09/03/2014 16:48

We're still dtd like rabbits over here...we eased up a bit during week 5 as I had some light spotting but since then its been business as usual...hopefully not doing our little bean any harm! I think advice has been to stop if you experience any bleeding or pain afterwards...

Cakebaker35 · 09/03/2014 17:26

Well ladies, I started bleeding today at 10 +1. Spoke to a midwife today and she advised me to take it easy and if its still happening tomorrow I need to go to the gp and be referred up to the hospital. Feeling so so sad but also realise there is not a lot I can do but wait. Impossible not to think about it, the waiting is just horrible. Can I ask you to keep your fingers and toes crossed for me? Thanks

CareBearWithFangs · 09/03/2014 17:30

Oh cake, I will cross everything for you. Try to stay positive. Thanks

PunkyBubba · 09/03/2014 17:33

Everything crossed here for you too cake, thinking of you and hope it turns out to be fine.xxxx

pebble82 · 09/03/2014 17:45

Cake, got everything crossed for you here too. Xx

FlipFantasia · 09/03/2014 17:56

Oh cake how stressful and worrying for you. Really hope it stops and you're scanned and reassured soon.
