We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Ooh blueberry I will keep everything crossed for you. Take care of yourself Thanks

TroubleAndFyfe · 07/03/2014 22:17

Everything crossed here too Blueberry!Thanks

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/03/2014 22:44

Blueberry, just to say are you sure dates are wrong and that the sonographer didn't just date you in a different way?? Only reason I say this is I am 8 weeks today in the sense that all medical people say 8 weeks, ie actually 6 weeks from conception plus those 2 random weeks before you ovulate. I had an early scan today and got told I was only 6 weeks pregnant which I knew was wrong as I was a minimum of 8 (2 weeks per ov, 2week wait, and 4 weeks since BFP) so instantly thought was a mmc. But thank god in our following conversation, I managed to establish that she was saying the pregnancy itself was 6 weeks from conception, bang on to the day I ovulated....but if you ask a GP, a midwife, anyone else, they would say 8 weeks. She really should explain what she means in that job, 2 weeks is a big deal.

Loopylu84 · 07/03/2014 23:31

Blueberry I really hope everything goes ok for you-with any luck it's just a mismatch of dates and all will be well next week

Marking my place on the new thread-I wonder how many we'll have got through by the time October comes around?! Im 8+1 today and so far seem to have escaped the morning sickness-keeping fingers crossed, really really wish my boobs would stop hurting though!

FlipFantasia · 08/03/2014 00:26

Marking my place on the new thread!

Blueberry, how very stressful for you. Please take care of yourself and I really hope the rescan next week brings good news xx

Tinytear I'm not sure if you'll read this but I'm so sorry to hear your news Hmm. Massive hugs to you.

Me23 how excellent to have a midwife on the thread! My first antenatal thread had a gp - v useful! I'm glad you've been signed off. Put the feet up and rest!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok.

olilos · 08/03/2014 00:59

Hello everyone. So sorry to hear of the losses today. I hope you ladies are looking after yourselves and that you have good support around you!

My husband and i have been advised to get a CVS test done, as we are both carriers of the same genetic disease, so have a 25% chance of having an affected baby. We have this booked in 1.5 weeks, when i will be 11+4. I was wondering if anyone on here has ever done one and wouldn't mind sharing the experience with me. It's terrifying me, but i realise that it's the wait and the possibility of a bad result that are actually scary, not the test itself (if that makes sense). I am now on a mission to find out as much about the test as possible; if it hurts, what happens after, etc. Anyone been there? Thanks in advance.

Wiggy29 · 08/03/2014 07:55

Just read through old/ new thread to catch up. Office lady and tiny, I'm not sure you'll still be reading at this point but so sorry for your losses.

Blueberry- sending you all the good, positive vibes. It seems so cruel having to wait, but hoping you'll have a reason to smile at the end.

Such a funny time for us all, exciting and nerve wracking in equal measures. Dh pointed out I'll have to wear different clothes as I've quite obviously (to those who know me well) got a new pot belly. I know it's a result of vastly increased appetite and not a baby but we were wanting to hold off telling people until after scan so will need to rethink what I wear for next few weeks.

binkybunny · 08/03/2014 08:22

Morning all. Had a few days off from reading and cant believe how much I have had to catch up.

So sorry to hear about all the sad news. Blueberry fx for you.

After feeling awful in the middle of the week have started to feel better now. Every time I go in the kitchen though I gag which DH thinks is 'convenient'. Eating like a trooper though about every hour or I feel sick!

Nice to hear some of the other sicky people are starting to feel better. Hopefully this is the light at the end of the tunnel!

Bumpforme2014 · 08/03/2014 10:06

Morning all, it's my birthday today so off out to celebrate soon. Symptoms are subsiding quite a bit which is worrying me in light of scans people have had recently. Even my boobs have decided to hurt less today, I feel almost normal right now eeeekkkk when does the placenta take over?

binkybunny · 08/03/2014 10:12

Happy birthday Bump Cake

Not sure when it takes over but just enjoy feeling good on your birthday!

BlueberryPoppy123 · 08/03/2014 10:49

Thanks everyone... Feeling better today... Reflecting on my pregnancy with DS this could have happened with him... My 12 week scan they put my date back 10 days... Then my son was 15 days late but once he was born they said they think he was really on time... Meaning from my original scan when I should have been 12 weeks I was really more 8 weeks... Which even though that would have been impossible because I'd have found out I was pregnant before I was actually pregnant maybe it's just the way my babies grow :/ if that makes sense... Just hoping anyway... So I may get to readd my name to the end of the list!

OP posts:
PunkyBubba · 08/03/2014 11:01

Fingers crossed for you Blueberry and didn't you say you got a positive pregnancy test quite late too? I really hope this one is like your DS, and your next scan is good news Thanks

Happy birthday Bump, it's mine next week, and I have just booked a reassurance scan for next Friday when I should be 9 weeks.. am praying it's a good one otherwise my birthday won't be much of a celebration. My nausea also seems to be improving massively, which like others have said is great in one way, but also scary. I did cut out tea and coffee like I said though.. maybe if I reintroduce those I will feel really awful again which will calm my nerves.. actually even the thought of it makes me gag so maybe I'm ok.. (or just a nutcase).

I hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend. DH has taken DS out for the morning so I am still in my PJs vegging in front of the TV. Need to get myself sorted before they come back but don't want to move!

mum2kiss · 08/03/2014 11:03

Thinking of you blueberry...I think the stress of this whole pregnancy lark is hugely underestimated!!

We are desperate to share our news but theres still that constant worry that things may not be ok!

We're going to dps parents today and he still hasnt decided if he'll tell them or not...I guess we'll have to see how we feel when we get there!

ElleDubloo · 08/03/2014 11:53

I'm 6+3 and finally worked up the courage to add myself to the list. Hi everyone :)

Trying for DC1 after 2 early MCs around 5w. Excited to be so far along, but time passes soooo slowly... cannot wait for my booking appt and first scan!

Well, I had my scan and harmony test today. I was bricking it, very little sleep last night, barely spoken to boyfriend in 2 days! We went to the cinema last night to try and distract me... i slept nearly the whole way through. Haha, anyway. Scan fine, am 10+5, with a due date moved to 28th Sept. Have fuzzy pictures of 'frog thing', waving arms and legs around like crazy. Went to borough Market and stuffed our faces to celebrate me not panicking for half an hour.

Now the scary wait begins again...

ohthegoats · 08/03/2014 12:03

Oh, and not adding to list until after all results in, so at least another two weeks.

BlueberryPoppy123 · 08/03/2014 12:05

punky yes no bfp until 7 weeks was testing every few days so after a lot of thought I think I have good reason to stay positive... It is ridiculously stressful. Part of me wishes I hadn't paid for the scan yesterday maybe this is why we're supposed to wait until 12 weeks to avoid this... But then another part of me thinks best to know now incase it is bad news... Happy birthday bump

BlueberryPoppy123 · 08/03/2014 12:07

Oh the goats great news on your scan!!! Are you going to stay with us or leave us for the September thread?

OP posts:
mum2kiss · 08/03/2014 13:07

Stay with us ohthegoats !!! First babies love to be late anyway ;) lol! And fantastic news on your scan!!

blueberry I am extremely hopeful for you. 7 weeks for a bfp sounds like your bubbas just like to take their own sweet time!

We are definitely telling dps parents today...I look like a hippo...They will guess anyway!

bumpbangbump · 08/03/2014 13:08

Fx blueberry. Sound like you have reason to stay positive.
Ohthegoats fab news re the scan. Fx you're results all come back low risk.
After a serious bout of insomnia last night, a quick trip into town to buy presents and a lovely slimmming world cooked brekkie, I have just had the most epic of naps. My oh had taken the little man to the zoo so couldn't possibly waste the opportunity on cleaning or anything of that nature!!! Now to find some motivation for the rest of my day... Or maybe lunch followed by another snooze Grin

Loulou888 · 08/03/2014 13:14

Is anyone else feeling really poorly? If I'm not feeling sick I'm being sick it's getting me down. I've tried different things but don't work for me. (I know people suffer far worse and that in reality you only feel poorly for a short time) I'm 7 + 2 and have a long way to go yet.

TroubleAndFyfe · 08/03/2014 13:18

Sounds hopeful Bueberry! Smile
GrinGrinGrin Ohthegoats! Fab news and even better to be further along than you thought!

PunkyBubba · 08/03/2014 14:14

Hey LouLou I've been feeling terrible the last few weeks. Constant nausea from getting out of bed in the morning until bedtime, and it tends to get very strong in the early evening when I start retching and gagging. Like I've said cutting out tea and coffee have helped me, and also cutting out dairy in general where possible.. I also found food cooked in oil tend to make me worse (roast potatoes last night were lovely but I felt so sick after). I hope you find something that helps, or that it disappears soon. It seems like a few of us have had symptoms easing around the 8-9 week mark so hopefully that will be the same for you too!

Fab news Ohthegoats and also fingers crossed for good results.

pebble82 · 08/03/2014 15:04

I've also just woken up from an epic nap. Missed a whole film I put on to watch. Was awake from 5am to 8am so must have just been making up for that. Pregnancy does very strange things to you!

Boobs are much more sore than they have been. I'm 9+1. Seems s long time off until my scan on the 27th. Anyone got any ideas for distraction?

ohthegoats · 08/03/2014 16:35

Loulou, I've felt crap all along. Even from before I knew I was pregnant (thought I had a bug). Haven't been sick once, a few heaves, but mostly just waves and waves of nausea all day, from the minute I wake up until I go to bed. Sometimes I wake in the night with them. Dizzy, headachey, burpy.. just grim. I've also been absolutely knackered, particularly while I'm digesting a meal it seems!

Blueberry - definitely staying here, it won't be on time will it!
