We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Great pictures! Still no date for my booking in or scan here. I'm so impatient!

They (the midwives) said that if I hadn't heard by today to chase them again which I will do. Seems a ridiculous system though, why should who chases make a difference, surely the appointments need to be allocated appropriately regardless.

ExcitedCJ · 21/03/2014 09:38

Love the scan pics too, I have a 10+3 next Fri so hope I can put that up! FX..
I took my 3YO DD to my 8 week & she was very excited to see the little baby & like your DS sazzle she instantly got all protective & super excited. The only downside is since then she has told anyone who will listen that "Mummy has a baby in her belly", while patting me protectively! Can't take her anywhere near my work for another few weeks!!
I had a really clear labour dream last night... the mucus plug came out as hard as a hockey puck & I flicked it into a gorilla tub (huge builders style plastic bucket) on the floor infront of my seat as I was casually just letting all manner of fluids stream into the tub. I was relaxed as you like, drinking tea & chatting to my SIL. Very different from the ECS with DD! Think it might have been the Hypnobirth track I was relaxing to last night before bed. Wink

TroubleAndFyfe · 21/03/2014 10:22

Haha excited, that's why I haven't told DS yet!Grin

Captainmcgraw · 21/03/2014 10:46

Quick update just to keep myself busy. Went to doctor as got more brown spotting. Can't be seen at hospital until tomorrow. Meanwhile come home to small amount of red blood. Called the private clinic to see if they can fit me in today for an early scan. Waiting to here back.... Nervous. My 3 year old's upset because I was going to take her swimming and now can't. She's really not buying the 'I'm ill' thing, as I clearly don't look it!

mrsb87 · 21/03/2014 10:52

Hi guys! My scan went well, one happy baby measuring 12+4 (I thought I was 11+6) so my due date has been pushed forward to 29th September!
My picture wasn't very clear, I think anything I drink at the moment is being absorbed straight away because of the dehydration.

binkybunny · 21/03/2014 11:07

Yay Mrsb thats great news! Hoping you start feeling better and can enjoy it now!

Captain keeping fx that you can get seen and put your mind at rest. Still waiting to talk to my midwife. We just have to leave a voicemail and wait!

gunwalloe · 21/03/2014 11:14

keeping my fx for you captain

Congrats on the scan mrsb87

I need some advice I think ive got thrush ive been lucky and have never had it before im on antibiotics and woke up with very sore itchy lady bits and light green discharge sorry about the tmi. Does this sound like thrush? What should I do?

akachan · 21/03/2014 11:33

I just called the midwives and apparently I am unlikely to get a scan until 13 + 4. Also still no date for a booking in, the woman I spoke to was really unfriendly as well. Doesn't fill me with confidence for October to be honest.

pebble82 · 21/03/2014 11:42

Akachan, can you change hospitals if you're unhappy?

Bumpforme2014 · 21/03/2014 12:06

Hi everyone, kept to my word and called in sick this morning so glad I did stayed in bed until gone 10 and really enjoying being at home as starting to feel sick again now :-(.

So lovely to see scan pics so only fair I add mine, I don't think mine is very clear as she didn't zoom in. Remember I am only 10+4 so baby only just starting to look like a baby.

Captain you are so far along im sure all is fine but you should push for a scan.

Gun - sounds like thrush probz beacause of your anti biotics

I would phone your practise and ask if doctor could leave you a prescription or go to local pharmacy and explain your situation

bumpbangbump · 21/03/2014 12:30

So lovely to hear about all these good scans!! Congratulations ladies. 11+5 here and scan on Monday. Can't wait!!

akachan · 21/03/2014 12:45

I guess I could pebble but this one is 5 minutes away so I probably shouldn't. I'm probably being a bit silly but I literally lie awake at night worrying that there's nothing there. I am crying at the thought of waiting two extra weeks.

bythesea82 · 21/03/2014 13:07

Amazing scan pictures - yippee Grin
Fingers crossed to all those with scans coming up.

Still spotting/bleeding here and have been for 2 weeks. Scan on Wednesday showed everything was fine but it's still making me scared and seems like a long wait to 12 week can on 11th April!

For this also with spotting, I have really had a fair bit if brown/pink spotting with some lumps (sorry tmi) but everything fine so hopefully your is the same, just old stuff working through.

Captainmcgraw · 21/03/2014 13:11

Positive update. I got a private scan and there was one little baby measuring 12+2 with a heartbeat and jumping around. Still going to hospital tomorrow as this scan was unable to say anything about the bleeding. Feeling so reassured though. Sorry to bring some negativity to what was becoming a much more uplifting thread.

Thanks for all the support. Hope you hear from midwife soon binkybunny it's so nerve racking waiting. I had quite a bit of spotting in my first pregnancy and now have a healthy 3 year old.

Captainmcgraw · 21/03/2014 13:12

Sorry didn't see your post by the sea yes it is very common and often fine. It's really positive news you've had a good scan.

binkybunny · 21/03/2014 13:13

Finally my midwife called me back and told me she can't deal with it, I need to speak to the Early Scan Unit. So I called them who told me the midwife should have dealt with it, they are snowed under and at some point will look up my bloods (they seem to think it's something to do with my blood type) and get my midwife to call me back. Thankfully, both the midwife and the the ESU person seem to think it's not serious. I realise how busy the NHS is, but it's still frustrating when they just seem to be passing the buck!

I've taken their lack of concern and speed at replying as meaning there is nothing to worry about! Bythesea that's reassuring that everything is fine with you too and sounds similar to what I had last night/ earlier today.

Any news Captain ?

binkybunny · 21/03/2014 13:49

Great news Captain- I think we were posting at the same time! I was also worried about posting negative stuff on what is becoming a super happy thread. I can't really speak to DH too much about concerns as he's really freaking out, even though I've told him it should all be fine!

I'm just keeping thinking happy thoughts and loving all the scan photo's. They are making me smile and can't wait for my own!

mrsb87 · 21/03/2014 13:54

Here is my little fuzzy bean! I hope the picture works!

TroubleAndFyfe · 21/03/2014 14:09

Yay for more great scan news and pics!
I'll have had mine this time next week.

Grannyapple · 21/03/2014 14:11

him defo sounds like thrush...I always seem to have it in pregnancy! One time I didn't realise I had it & had what I thought were contractions at 32wks with DS...turns out it was a severe thrush infection making my uterus contract! Since then I keep on top of bouts during pregnancy as soon as I spot them. Doc said it was fine for me to just but over the counter remedies (tho not oral ones...pessaries I mean)

Doc will normally just prescribe canesten pessary...just don't use the stick thing, you need to use your finger as if inserting a lil lets tampon!

Some pharmacists are very nervous of giving over the counter thrush remedies to pregnant ladies,, so if you get another bout & can't get to docs, either pick some canesten up in the supermarket, or send someone else to the pharmacy for you!

Grannyapple · 21/03/2014 14:11

Bloomin phone him is supposed to be gun apologies!!

Grannyapple · 21/03/2014 14:12

Ooh got booking in appt on Monday...then scan 2 wks after that...still feels like ages away for the scan..

binkybunny · 21/03/2014 15:21

Well... Early Scanning Unit called me back with my blood type and was about to hang up until I asked about the discharge and spotting. She said if I was worried I could go in for a scan but it would be at least Tuesday before I can have one. I asked if it was something I should be worried about and she told me she couldn't say until they scanned me.

So, just going to have to stay positive and keep everything crossed until my 12 week scan next Thursday!

and just to top off my day, my colleague told me I already had a bit of a belly, but it couldn't be baby yet and if I didn't stop eating I was going to be huge and suffer when I get further down the road.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself, so sat next to her and have just enjoyed a carrot cake Grin

Mrsb lovely scan photo!
