We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Glad the spotting has stopped binky. And good luck to all the scanners - ours isn't for another 3.5 weeks!

We haven't got a name for this one, it just gets called "this one" or "the baby".

akachan · 20/03/2014 08:56

Good luck to scanners! Welcome new people.

I am 10 weeks now and still no date for booking in or scan. I've seen nobody. I suppose it doesn't really matter but I would like to know the dates, it's going to be so difficult to get time off work if I don't get any notice.

Wiggy29 · 20/03/2014 09:02

Good luck to all the scanners. Been for booking in with MW last Thursday but still no scan date.

Feeling rough here, gone from feeling slightly yucky to can barely move/ function full on sick. I work PT so was off yesterday and today but really scared that I won't be functioning by tomorrow. Hard to imagine at this stage where even if I move head I feel like I'm going to vomit. Wishing I'd told work now so that at least if I have to ring in I could be honest about why.

Has anyone else had to ring in yet with pregnancy related illness? Sad

gunwalloe · 20/03/2014 09:02

Good luck for the imminent scans and that's fab news Binky

I'm back down the dentist today the pain is constant and paracetamol isn't touching it I'm going to beg her to pull it out

lilystem · 20/03/2014 09:09

Hello. Good luck to those with scans and feeling for those with teeth - I had wisdom tooth issues and would far rather have a c - sec again than go through that!

I'm still only 9+3. Anyone else thinking of breaking out the maternity jeans. A mix of my eating constant junk and pregnancy bloating means my jeans are uncomfortably tight. I know they're there in the loft calling my name but it feels like its way too early. I'd only just got my body back after DS1!

Had my scan date through but its a date that DH can't do. (We're farmers and he's got something on that day he has to be on the farm for). Is it an option to ring up and change it? Should I go by myself? Not sure what to do. He may be able to go at the last minute if things go right on the far but we won't know until the day.

Had a classy moment this morning vomiting in my DS's cot whilst simultaneously changing his dirty nappy and shouting "Don't put your hands in your own poo and certainly don't eat it!"

akachan · 20/03/2014 09:09

I have had to work from home a couple of times wiggy when I've felt dizzy in the mornings. Luckily work is quite flexible about home working so it hasn't been a problem.

clairemiss79 · 20/03/2014 09:13

Hi Wiggy 29 I had to have 2 weeks off due to sickness, indigestion which led to my ibs going haywire! I didn't tell work I'm preg though but I think they've guessed as since I've returned I look green and sick most of the time. I'm really hoping this all settles soon. I'm 10 + 2.

Good luck for all the scans. I can't wait for mine. It'll be a massive relief to tell my children :)

akachan · 20/03/2014 09:20

I think my work guessed too, at least a couple of people. I have switched to decaff plus the odd WFH days. To be honest I am now at the stage where if the worst happens I will need some time off anyway so I'll have to tell them one way or another.

I have weird pains in my torso today. Quite high up and at the front like a muscle ache. Does that sound like a thing?

akachan · 20/03/2014 09:22

I've just seen there is a tentative December thread! Time is moving on...

mum2kiss · 20/03/2014 10:27

Morning all...

no nicknames here...just "this one"

For the first time since my bfp I had the whole watery mouth im about to puke thing as I was heading into a meeting! I had to pull out a mint and hope for the best. Thankfully it subsided but that was scary...I don't do vomit!

ToffeeJungle · 20/03/2014 11:16

Well I'm currently off work sick - haven't told them yet that it is pregnancy related (not telling anyone until after the 12 week scan) but have just said I feel sick and have been several times (which is true). Maybe they'll guess I'm pregnant but my manager did respond by saying 'there is a sickness bug going round so it could be that'!!

I am going to the docs later today though as as well as the sickness I've had a really bad cough for about a week now which seems to be getting worse. Plus last night I coughed so hard I'm pretty sure I've bruised or cracked a rib as my upper left side just under my boob hurts soooo much!! Not what I need right now!!!!

lily we couldn't do the first scan date that we got sent through. I just ran up and changed it (to the day after). DH wants to be there (and I want him there) plus we had to think about childcare for our DC1 as don't want t take him (nt even sure we can as it says just 1 additional person can attend). You might get lucky, they might bring the date forward!

clairemiss79 · 20/03/2014 11:33

Lilystem I've been wearing my maternity jeans since wk 7! My belly is sticking out loads but it's wobbly. I'm normally slim so it's quite noticeable but all my normal clothes are too small. My boobs have taken on a life of their own.

Loulou888 · 20/03/2014 11:44

toffeejungle I too have had a cough for weeks now it seems. I too felt like I had pulled a muscle but seems to be getting better now. That plus being sick and feeling sick all day has made the past 3 weeks pretty unbearable. The days are dragging and I'm only 9 weeks.

Wiggy29 · 20/03/2014 12:12

Wasn't sure about work situation as if I ring in 'sick' it will go on my record, whereas I know if it's pregnancy related it doesn't. It's daft because I'm not planning on moving jobs or anything, I'm just a pants liar! Feel slightly more human so hoping to drag myself to work tomorrow, even if it's just to be sent home!

I'm not in maternity stuff but put on a load of wobbly tummy weight and my waist has vanished! I'm not in maternity clothes but being very selective about what I wear (generally floaty dresses and no trousers), though even normal tights are leaving vicious red gash marks on my tummy! Not bothered by weight gain, but it does make it tricky when we're trying to keep it quiet until scan. Boobs defo grown (yippee- they're normally tiny and flat after bfing two), full and round and popping out of my old pre-kids 34C bra. Quite nice to be honest, I have a round bum (which I like) but always think it looks better balanced out with a bit of boob! Smile.

pebble82 · 20/03/2014 13:21

We're calling bump "little parasite". Meant in the most affectionate way of course.

mrsb87 · 20/03/2014 13:24

Hehe pebble I feel like mine has been a complete parasite!

MundayCakes85 · 20/03/2014 13:51

Afternoon all, I know you all like a bit of good news- baby was all good for the scan, lots of lovely photos and even saw it jiggle/ drink and then turn towards us for a weird alien face photo!! I'm 12+4 so EDD moved to 28th Sept. will stay here though if you'll have me?
Also good luck to the other scanners today x

Kirstipops · 20/03/2014 13:55

As an animal lover who previously joked I'd prob give birth to a litter of puppies, [and being Scottish] I've coined mine "Wee Dug"! A friend whose bump is huuuuge has named hers Nessie, love that.
I have had indigestion since eating an apple and some pineapple this morning, raging! Might as well have tucked into a bacon roll or something!
Welcome to the newbies, and good luck to those on their upcoming scans :)

Loulou888 · 20/03/2014 14:17

Changing the subject but excited about my pregnancy book arriving today. I had it for my previous dc's but wanted to have it again with this one! Can highly recommend it to those of you expecting your first. It's called "your pregnancy bible" by Anne Deans.

ohthegoats · 20/03/2014 14:53

Good news munday. I'm Sept edd too, not going anywhere either!

mum2kiss · 20/03/2014 15:09

They are a regular part of my diet when not preggers!

mum2kiss · 20/03/2014 15:10

That should day birthday! I was actually born some 30 odd years ago lol!

mum2kiss · 20/03/2014 15:10

Damn you fat fingers!!

mrsb87 · 20/03/2014 15:24

mum2kiss I'm pretty sure you can have prawns aslong as they are cooked.

mrsb87 · 20/03/2014 15:31

Seems a shame for you not to enjoy a yummy Chinese!
