We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

gunwallow, I had a root canal on Friday at 11 weeks. The procedure itself really wasn't that bad, though the pain before was excruciating. My dentist also wanted to wait until 12 weeks, but I couldn't have gone another day with the pain. He messed about with a filling first without anaesthetic, not pleasant, but had anaesthetic for the root canal. After, the pain wasn't great, but still much better than it had been. I've been taking paracetamol for the after effects but only once/twice a day.

Slight subject change but my belly is looking a bit bigger but is still squashy and not solid. Anyone know when it gets harder? I'd rather look pregnant than lardy!

pusscous · 19/03/2014 17:32

I had my first scan on Monday, I was 10+3 according to lmp and due 13/10 but after measuring dated me a week behind at 9+3 due 20/10. The due date makes sense due to a longer cycle, but slightly miffed at the 9+3 mainly due to the lack of counting from lmp. hmm I did say to myself that I would not get hung about dates. It was amazing to see the heart beat and the legs wriggling away.

mum2kiss · 19/03/2014 17:42

Mine is he same as yours pebble...I think mine firmed up around 16 weeks last time...

Binglesplodge · 19/03/2014 18:14

What's with the squishy tummies? Mine is the same though I've only out on about 3 pounds, which could just be random fluctuation anyway. I feel like my waist has disappeared and I have a little paunch! I wouldn't mind a bump but at only 10 weeks that's definitely not what's going on...

binkybunny · 19/03/2014 18:17

I'm using a hair band to fasten my trousers now. Looking forward to my mum taking me shopping next weekend!

I'm still spotting a bit and have tummy cramps. I've not had bleeding all day before. Do you think its worth calling the midwife tomorrow if it continues or only if it gets heavier? Its literally a smudge (sorry if tmi) and a pinky brown colour.

mum2kiss · 19/03/2014 18:22

If you're concerned binky then you should call. Thats what they are there for ;)

binkybunny · 19/03/2014 18:30

I know just dont want to be over dramatic I've already been to the early scan unit once!

Loulou888 · 19/03/2014 18:44

It's not being over dramatic binky that's what they are there for. If you are worried then call them directly at the early scan unit. It's prob what your midwife will do and they will probably scan you again or monitor your bloods x

porcito · 19/03/2014 20:10

binky, I have literally stalked my doctor for about 7 weeks. She assures me, so so patiently, every time, that spotting, especially browny, is OK, nothing to worry about, and dutifully scans me to make sure. I think they're about to get me my own plaque for the waiting room. I do feel ridiculous every time, but as Loulou said, that's what they're there for. Better to reassure yourself than be worried for the next couple of weeks.

ohthegoats · 19/03/2014 20:14

Binky, call if you need to. That's what they are there for.

I'm entering 'pre scan doom' mood. Can't stop thinking that something has gone wrong in the last two weeks. What if there's no heart beat this time? Also wanted my harmony results before nuchal results, to avoid the age related skew that nuchal seems to give. But now the harmony is late, if the nuchal is bad, I'll have three days of further panic.

Basket case alert. I'm wondering if I'll ever get excited about this pregnancy malarkey.

binkybunny · 19/03/2014 20:54

Thanks again all. Going to see if theres any spotting tomorrow and call if there is. One week til scan hoping I might relax a bit after that.

ohthegoats I was saying to my colleague today I would love to be one of those woman that just love being pregnant. I'm really not enjoying the sickness, tiredness and worry! Whens your scan?

Kirstipops · 19/03/2014 21:03

I figure the happy clappy "love being preggers" feeling will kick in during 2nd trimester, the first is just sicky tired worry/wariness. Once we get past this part it'll be all sunshine and friggin rainbows..... Right? :-/

ohthegoats · 19/03/2014 21:11

Saturday. I'll be 12+5. Was 10+5 at last scan, no reason for things to have gone wrong. Still obviously potential for blood test issues, but the heartbeat thing is my main worry. Just want to get past the next week.

HumTeach1012 · 19/03/2014 21:40

Hello

Can I be added to the list please?

DC1 EDD 8th October

Xx

sazzlehopes · 19/03/2014 21:42

Ohthegoats I am having pre scan doom here. Mine is tomorrow afternoon and I've not had a scan yet. I've tonight convinced myself all is wrong and my tummy is smaller. I'm mad. Can't wait to be put out of my misery!!!

MundayCakes85 · 19/03/2014 22:07

Sazzle I'm having my second "12 week" scan tomorrow at 10am Smile We were both quite nervous beforehand but seeing as things have been going ok so far no reason for things not to be fine.
Good luck for tomorrow Shamrock

HumTeach1012 · 20/03/2014 06:56

Sazzlehopes I'm having my first scan tomorrow and it's my first scan too. Not really had any symptoms for weeks other than slightly growing belly so I too am really nervous! Can't wait to see that everything is ok. Think it's such a worry when it's your first child and you don't really know what to expect. Good luck with your scans today ladies. Xx

TroubleAndFyfe · 20/03/2014 06:59

Good luck today sazzle, Munday and hum! Smile

puppythedog · 20/03/2014 07:00

Good luck to all the scanners. We talk about wanting to get excited but just feeling anxious at present. For me I just want to see a heartbeat. I do hope that the second trimester is filled with sunshine, lollypops and rainbows (although Mrsthedog is enjoying Rocket Lolly ice lollies now).

Lets hope that as a thread we get to see lots of lovely positive svn news over the next few weeks as we do the Twelve week thang.

More good luck from me/us. Catch you later :-)

Bumpforme2014 · 20/03/2014 07:09

Good luck for scans, it's amazing you will love it. Positive thoughts everyone!!!

binkybunny · 20/03/2014 07:26

Good news the spotting has stopped overnight. Phew Smile

And good luck to all you scan people today!

mrsb87 · 20/03/2014 08:02

Phew! Thats great news binky, so glad that it's stopped.

Good luck for today's scanners!! My turn tomorrow! !

Dh husband and I had a very strange conversion before falling asleep last night. What will we call our unborn child? Will it stay as bean? Or pea? Like peas in a pod (boomboom, so funny!), spike? We reached no specific conclusion. Does anyone else have idd names for their's?

tak1ngchances · 20/03/2014 08:04

Great news binky!

Yes good luck to everyone being scanned, hope you get lovely pics to put on the fridge Smile

I am 11 weeks today, yay! Didn't sleep a wink and am extremely short-tempered though. My lucky lucky colleagues...

binkybunny · 20/03/2014 08:28

mrsb ours has become tafpole. I text my mum early on meaning to say our little tadpole but mistyped and the name has stuck with DH and mum!
