We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

I watched one last week - the one with vicars wife. Didn't seem that awful and seeing as that is the first one I had ever watched, I am definitely quitting while I'm feeling okay about it and will not watch another. Hearing scary stories is not helpful.

binkybunny · 18/03/2014 07:33

Dragging myself into work today after sick day yesterday. Wishing I could stay in bed and not move though as its the only time I don't feel ill. Dreading having to deal with my colleagues cigarette/ strong perfume/ newspaper smells eurgh!

binkybunny · 18/03/2014 07:34

mrsf I just turn over when it all gets too much. I only like the happy stories!

magichandles · 18/03/2014 07:39

Ugh, DD had a massive nosebleed in the middle of the night and it then took me nearly 2 hours to get back to sleep so I am exhausted already today - nausea is definitely related to tiredness as I have felt awful since I got up.

Grump, grump, grump.

Kirstipops · 18/03/2014 08:17

Woke up feeling meh. I sense that today will only be salvaged by Ritz crackers. And where did the sunshine go? Harrumph......

gunwalloe · 18/03/2014 08:37

If my spinal doesn't work I will be of to sleep no way would I have a cs without adequate pain relief it's uncomfortable enough without feeling pain, she's one brave lady!

gunwalloe · 18/03/2014 10:32

urgh just had a call from the FMC not enough baby DNA in my blood ive got to go back for a redraw of blood and then another two week wait :(

Loulou888 · 18/03/2014 10:52

gunwalloe how unfair and another wait ahead! Feeling super grumpy today. Tired and sick and fed up

bythesea82 · 18/03/2014 11:55

Feeling anxious and scared today, next scan tomorrow, should be about 9 weeks and that would be further than I got last time. Bit more bleeding earlier to make the wait worse but seems to have stopped again. Ahhhhh I hate waiting!!!

sazzlehopes · 18/03/2014 12:12

Wowzers you lot are chatty! It's taken me an age to catch up!

Ohthegoats, was it you asking about wobbly bellies?! Mine is defo, second child, and I'm slim but it's really wobbly. However I think it was like that last time then suddenly got bigger and went firm with no wobble! So fingers crossed it happens like that again for you and me!!

I'm planning on not finding out...although I ay change my mind if DS was to know. He'll be 3 and a half and it may involve him more, who knows!

2 sleeps til my first and 12 week scan. Shitting it.

mrsb87 · 18/03/2014 12:47

Ooooh sazzle not long for me either! Mine is on Friday. Super excited.
Lol my belly always wobbled but if anything mine has got more solid wierdly, trousers are definately getting tighter. Will need to get some maternity ones soon I think.

sazzlehopes · 18/03/2014 13:32

Oooh mrsB exciting - will it be your first scan too?
I can't wait to know everything is ok and finally bust out the maternity clothes again!

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/03/2014 13:39

Yay! So excited for the 12 week sans starting! Smile I'm 11 weeks today and have my scan next Friday, can't wait!

mum2kiss · 18/03/2014 13:45

I have one pair of.maternity work trousers which I have been wearing for about 3 weeks now...I also have one pair of ordinary work trousers that were too big but now fit quite snug. I am just alternating between the two and hoping the ordinary pair still fit until my scan in two.weeks!

Good luck mrs and sazzle for.your scans this week! How exciting!

Dp explained how much it meant to him to not know baby's sex before birth. He said he is really looking forward to seeing baby for the first time.and being able to announce the sex to me and then the rest.of the family. So I think I will grant him that wish. I.dont feel that strongly about knowing the sex that I would deny him that experience!

mrsb87 · 18/03/2014 13:59

sazzle I had dildocam at6 weeks (because of the hg) but it was just a tiny blip on a screen so seeing this as my first proper one.

Feeling so much better I'm going back to work next week hopefully! I just need to keep eating and drinking.

I won't be finding out the sex (but I would like to reserve the right to change my mind!). I think we have so much control over everything in our lives its nice to not knoe absolutely everything about our baby til they are here.

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/03/2014 14:03

I'm so tempted to buy an angel sounds Doppler from eBay - only £20! Trying to persuade myself it's unnecessary though, I'll be feeling the baby moving soon!

mum2kiss · 18/03/2014 14:08

Dont do it trouble!!! You will drive your self over the edge every time you cant successfully locate baby's heart beat!

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/03/2014 14:23

Grin I wouldn't mum2kiss, I'm far too rational for all of that! I'm not anxious at all, just excited. Waste of money though.

CareBearWithFangs · 18/03/2014 14:26

I agree with mum2kiss. My other worry with the dopplers is them giving false reassurance. It's always best to speak with your midwife if your worried. I almost got one last time but convinced myself not too.

Had my booking in appointment this morning. Left with a sore arm and a bag full of leaflets. I also mentioned I'm considering a home birth and they've referred me to the midwives that do the home births. Apparently if you have a home birth you get the same midwife for antenatal care and labor which would be nice.

bumpbangbump · 18/03/2014 15:23

I won't be finding out the sex either. I loved the fact the my oh was the one to tell me we had a son! I'm convinced it's another boy though so the shock will probably kill me if it turns out to be a girl.

I have a Doppler from last time and because my mum was a midwife many years ago, I had steady competent hands ready and waiting to find the heartbeat. Only for fun you understand. I was hot on following the kick patterns and even took myself off to hospital in a massive panic when he stopped moving. Started up as soon as I was being monitored of course!

gunwalloe · 18/03/2014 15:49

Well todays been a total right of I went for my hospital dating scan but the sonographer proceeded to try and do a full nuchal the baby was not playing ball it was doing constant somersaults it made us laugh must have been the iced bun I had eaten :) Anyway she couldn't even date the pregnancy so im back again on April 1st. The only plus was that she got the nuchal at 2.4 so im happy with that. She was very secret squirrel I asked about the nasal bone and if she had seen any soft markers and I didn't get a straight answer the only reason I got the nuchal is that I pressed her for it

mum2kiss · 18/03/2014 16:16

My first dd was having a party in their for our 12 week scan...didnt get the nuchal done as a result!

We are now scan date buddies gun ;)

gunwalloe · 18/03/2014 16:23

It was crazy so funny to watch :)

Im hoping its not so hyper on April fools day

Bumpforme2014 · 18/03/2014 16:44

Scan news here also, baby had strong heartbeat (I was so terrified there wouldn't be one) but I am only 10+4 so she couldn't take any of the measurements at all because something was 37 and needs to be 45 ? To be honest I am delighted to see there is a baby alive in there moving around with arms and legs but am now stuck with a two week wait for next scan to take measurements - April 3rd!

Didn't really know how to feel because still not in the clear and was so looking forward to telling everyone today boooooo glad to hear I'm not the only one having issues though. I am now much more positive that everything will be okay but can someone explain what all the measurements are for anyway isn't the main thing the heartbeat, I know I'm not out of woods until 12 weeks but surely odds are good.

CODwidow · 18/03/2014 17:14

Feeling a little overwhelmed with working out smp today, does anyone have the time to explain it to me please? I had a scan last week at 11 weeks but mw today has managed to speak to them about my screening so hopefully hear from them soon.
