We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

Tak1ngchances I was convinced. Stick to your guns - if you say anything with enough conviction it is bound to be true. Ask puppythedog; I do it all the time. :)

magichandles · 17/03/2014 16:21

gunwalloe I can't remember now Grin - to be fair, her theory was a bit more complicated than that, it was to do with growth and regrowth round the hairline, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. other than that she was right!

ohthegoats · 17/03/2014 16:57

Loopy - I'm not finding out. We had the chance to because of having the Harmony test, but decided we'd rather have a surprise. Having said that, we've each independently come to the decision that it's a girl. I had an overwhelming feeling of girl one day when I was about 5 weeks, so really early. I asked boyfriend about a fortnight later if he wanted to find out, to which he basically said 'not really, but it's a little girl anyway'.

We'll see...

I'm not finding either have one of each so happy as long as baby is healthy. Be strange tho as I found out with previous and had all nursery and clothes etc ready and this time around I will feel very unorganised! Although the way I'm feeling I'm guessing it's another boy!

akachan · 17/03/2014 17:19

Loopy I think I'm going to leave it as a surprise but I reserve the right to change my mind!

Grannyapple · 17/03/2014 17:27

loulou I'm same as you...thinking I might not find out now as I knew with each before & also have one of each. But if it's twins...will defo find out..

binkybunny · 17/03/2014 17:31

loopy we're finding out because we are convinced its a boy and if a girl pops out I want to be prepared!

Im really panicking today as I had the depo injection in jan. I can't find much info on any effects it may have and my dm doesn't help all she keeps saying is how worried she is about it and shes sure it must have caused a problem in development. Grr

mum2kiss · 17/03/2014 17:38

I want to find out. Dp doesnt...he wants to strike a deal with me...

I let him choose name

he lets me find out sex!

The jury is still out on this one!

COD is depo the contraceptive injection???

CODwidow · 17/03/2014 17:46

Yes this really is a suprise baby! [Smile]

magichandles · 17/03/2014 17:48

Loulou I was thinking the same as you (one of each already and might be nice to have a surprise) and then I realised that I just would want to know - I don't do surprises well! It also took us forever to pick a boy's name, so if it is a boy I want to have plenty of time to get it right!

CODwidow · 17/03/2014 18:06

I've always found out but don't think I will this time.

pebble82 · 17/03/2014 18:07

Wow, chatty bunch today ladies :-).

I'm also in the feeling fat but not quite feeling pregnant despite some symptoms. It's so strange. Can't wait for my scan when I might actually believe it. Weirdly, even though I feel fat I stood on the scales this morning and I've lost 5 pounds!! Not even sure how that's possible!

Me and DP are also going to find out boy/girl at 20week scan. We already have names so it'll be nice to know which it'll be :-)

binkybunny · 17/03/2014 18:09

DH has just called to say he's just leaving work, still has to go to the shops then half an hour drive home! I'm starving and have eaten all the random things that we have in the house. He's always in from work late when I'm sick he's supposed to finish at 4. Grrrrrr. Rant over.

ohthegoats · 17/03/2014 18:09

If it was just me on my own, I think I'd find out - just so I only have to think of one name. He doesn't want to though, and it doesn't really matter that much to me which one it is. I don't think I'd do anything differently in terms of clothes buying and preparation - no blue buggy hood or pink car seat action going on here.

pebble82 · 17/03/2014 18:22

Ohthegoats, same here. Not a pink/blue fan depending on gender. Baby will be brought up with toys for both sexes. I'll let them choose (whilst keeping fingers crossed for a Lego preference-love Lego!)

Sorry to be rude but just had a read up of Harmony test cost. Are you ladies that have had it paying 750?!! That's just not an option for us :-(

ohthegoats · 17/03/2014 18:38

No Pebbles, the local price was £750 (and recommended by the midwife), but I went to the Fetal Medical Centre in London, which had a deal for £400 for a viability scan, Harmony test, 12 week scan and Nuchal test - and I think CVS if you need it. I have a 'maybe baby' fund which I've been putting money in thinking I/we might need IVF (we're old, and wouldn't get it for free), so £400 seems cheap-ish in comparison to that.

pebble82 · 17/03/2014 18:44

Ah, that's better then. Pleased for you that IVF wasn't necessary. Fingers crossed for your results. Odds are all will be fine.

MrsF2510 · 17/03/2014 18:45

I have weighed myself and weigh about the same but am convinced I have a small bump. DH says I look the same as I always have. I too am trying to eat relatively healthily but am finding the carbs go down much easier which is frustrating - oh and strawberries!! Mmmmm.

Not sure how good this thread has been for me though as am very worried about my scan now which is a shame as I know I should be excited. Not that I have been given a date yet - annoying as am 11 weeks on Wed! X

CareBearWithFangs · 17/03/2014 18:48

It's been busy on here today.

So exciting for people who will be finding out the sex early. We'll def be finding out. I'm not very good with surprises. And it takes us ages to agree on names so we need to be able to rule out one set.

My tummy is also really wobbly. It wasn't wobbly at all 4 weeks ago I don't know where it's all suddenly come from!

Is anyone else having dizzy spells? The nausea has really calmed down but I am horribly dizzy most of the day atm.

One born is on tonight, I really shouldn't watch it. My whole body seems to try and curl in on itself when I'm watching, not sure if it's in memory of previous pain or fear of the next birth.

MrsF2510 · 17/03/2014 18:52

Loopy - I really would love to not find out but know it's going to be a struggle to have the willpower not to. DH doesn't want to know though so even if I did find out, I wouldn't tell anyone and so it would be easier to say I didn't know!

pebble82 · 17/03/2014 19:11

Care bear, I went dizzy in the shower a few days ago, actually thought I was about to faint!

tak1ngchances · 17/03/2014 19:22

Yes dizzy and palpitations. I also have headaches and sicky burps. Fäncy!!
