We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

I wonder if holly willobooby will be joinin this thread?

pebble82 · 15/03/2014 21:42

Maybe she's already here ;-)

Loopylu84 · 15/03/2014 21:52

MrsDino ref the bras-pardon my ignorance but why are we not supposed to wear underwired ones? I can't think of anything worse than wearing a non wired bra!

CareBearWithFangs · 15/03/2014 22:21

I didn't know holly willobooby was pregnant?

Ohthegoats that situation sounds so difficult. I have some friends who have been trying for nearly 2 years and I'm really unsure how to tell them.

Cod, people are just judgemental regardless of circumstances sometimes, try to ignore any negativity.

ExcitedCJ · 15/03/2014 22:53

Pebble are you Holly?! ;0)
I was excited to hear the Willabooby was preggers again, is she due in Oct? I love a good celeb to be pregnant alongside. I had Abby Clancy last time & that made me feel like a huge heffer!
Loopy the wire in your bra is meant to cause potential blocking of milk ducts if you let them get too tight. Think it comes from pre Trinny & Suzanna days when everyone wore the wrong size! I have giant boobs too & couldn't do without underwire, found amazing underwire maternity/breast feeding one last time, think it was Anita. Will check & report back....

pebble82 · 15/03/2014 22:56

Ah, you got me! Haha. I wish I was Holly. I looked online but it doesn't look like she's said how far along she is yet.

Loopylu84 · 16/03/2014 00:52

Ta for the info Excited!

binkybunny · 16/03/2014 08:13

Mrsdino I also had a shock when getting measured for a bra I have never been more than a 38B at my very biggest and am now a 42D! I have struggled to find non wired big enough bras. I looked at maternity bras but I'm too scared to get one without padding as the slightest chill and I'll be poking eyes out! Anyone know where I can get a huge bra without underwire but padding to cover my huge nipples?!

Me23 · 16/03/2014 08:29

I've told mil she wasn't as negative as I had anticipated, but her lack of offering to help or do anything with her grandchildren is annoying me. We only see her approximate 4-5 times a year as she lives 3 hours away so we don't get any help or support with the kids in London.

I hoped just for one morning she would offer to get up with the youngest so me and OH could have a lie in together for once she knows how tired we are with the constant 5-5:30 am starts but no offer forthcoming, this morning dc2 woke at 6 so not too bad but he was up a few times in the night and we both didn't sleep well so OH asks his mum if she would get up with him so we could sleep a little longer and she said no!

I understand she may be tired but she went to bed at 8 last night, is it really expecting too much to ask for an hour or two in bed for one morning? When that's the only help we can look forward to. I don't know why we were thinking of moving closer to have more support and family around us as we won't have more support.

Sorry for the long rant I'm just so disappointed and don't want to say anythig to OH as don't want to cause tension. It's just with mil asking how are you going to cope with a 3rd and the lack of sleep well if family would offer a bit of support maybe that would help! Btw mil is only 60 and still works so not a geriatric invalid. If my mum were still alive I know she would offer to help so much more.

Grannyapple · 16/03/2014 08:47

Crikey me that's tough...& sorry for being judgemental but she sounds like a bit if a selfish cow at times?

We're the same...family is in Glasgow while we are in London...but we're lucky in that my sis us down quite a lot so she'll happily get up with DS when he does his 5.30/6am wakings...& MIL does babysit eye whens she's down but she's 71 this year so getting in a bit. If my mum was still alive too, she's never be away & would happily get up with the little uns!

It's funny tho...my best friend down here had a baby in January & she's said after it that she feet like she's been a bad friend to me as she didn't realise how hard it was us we've no family nearby (she's a great friend by the way...think it was her hormones talking!).. But you just get in with it really.

My cold has just about disappeared but queasiness is still hanging around...lots of cramps on my left side too. I usually have cysts on that side when pg that disappear but I'm wondering if I've the sand again..

9 + 1 today...mw appt is a week on Monday..

Tumble dryer has decided to give up the ghost here so it looks like a day if washing on the dryer outside today...was hoping to take DS for a wee day out too but he'll be happy playing with his water toys in the back garden Grin

STIGZ · 16/03/2014 08:48

I think holly willobooby will probs be over 12 weeks ? I am guessing she would want to pass that stage before announcing it? So she will probz be due september?

I also love when celebs are due around your date, mine last time was kourtney kardashian & jennifer ellison

binkybunny · 16/03/2014 08:53

me that sounds so tough our family are 5 hours drive away on my side and in laws are 6000 miles away and I dont know how we will cope with 1 so I take my hat off to you with 3dc! How did your OH react when she said no? Could he not have a quiet word with her? I know thats not easy as my DH would never 'have a word' with his, but we only see them at most once every two years.

clairemiss79 · 16/03/2014 09:28

Hi was just wondering if any of you are starting to look pregnant? I'm on baby number 4 and 10 weeks. I've been wearing maternity jeans since wk 7 cos all my trousers became too tight. But I darent wear any maternity tops cos I instantly look about 5 months!I'm having a job keeping it covered up for work. I had to buy a work dress 2 sizes bigger! Can't wait til 12 weeks and scan etc so I can 'come out' :)

Oh my! Went to a country music festival yesterday and made it till 1am. Feel like someone has driven into me today.....like a bad hang over. God knows how ill manage when in the size of a whale! Confused

monkeypeanuts · 16/03/2014 09:53

hi clairemiss79 I'm starting to. Felt a bit early (I'm 10-11 wks and not had scan yet) but wore my first pair of maternity jeans last night and it was a god-send. Not finding dressing for work too hard but was out for dinner with friends Fri and Sat nights and finding that harder as they're def onto me! Fri night wore normal skinnies, soooo uncomfortable had the zip down the whole way during dinner (lots of bloating I think, not really showing). Took the plunge in H&M yest and got mat jeans, so pleased I did! And as someone on another thread said, no harm will come from going shopping! Also looking forward to being out about it, especially at work

mum2kiss · 16/03/2014 10:02

me in no way do I intend to sound harsh but in my experience since having dc1 I have lived by the mantra "she is my child and I will look after her..." I was on my own with her as he father dumped me when I was 38 weeks. Its never easy and I would have loved for someone to get up with her but it didnt happen. Instead I just waited for offers from my mum. Then it wasnt expected and always came as a bonus! This year she has offered to take her away for a weekend!!! Its been 5 years coming and may never happen again but I am super excited about the prospect of 2 lie ins!!!

oh your friend (if she is truly your friend) will eventually stop thinking of herself and get over it. It may take her a little while though!

trouble I will look into the aquanatal and acupuncture...at this point I'd do anything for a pain free day!

mum2kiss · 16/03/2014 10:05

I should probably add that the offers to help were rare!!

binkybunny · 16/03/2014 10:16

Claire I'm now in the few size 18 clothes I kept from my larger days. Really pleased I listened to my mum and kept them! She's takibg me shopping on Mothers Day weekend as a treat while we are down visiting and going to get some maternity leggings and jeans. We have told nearly everyobe already and it has made life so much easier! I'm 10 +3 today Grin

Bumpforme2014 · 16/03/2014 10:34

Morning all, binky in answer to your question about underwire bras with padding I got two from M&S but I ended up taking padding out as they made my boobs look huge.

I have been in bad mood since Friday, got myself all worked up about Tuesday scan. Since the bad news on this thread I have convinced myself the same is going to happen to me. I am not showing at all and pulling stretching feelings have subsided along with other symptoms so convinced that's a bad sign. Poor DH is being so positive and excited but I keep bringing him down with my worries.

Please give me some positive words I'm sooooo scared.

ohthegoats · 16/03/2014 10:53

You're statistically more likely to take home a baby than not. That's the positive thought I was given somewhere on here, and after all the niceties that can be said, without any grounding in facts, the statistics are all that's left.

That probably doesn't help much, but I quite liked it.

Kirstipops · 16/03/2014 11:16

Bumpforme aren't you around the 11-nearly-12 weeks mark too (same as me), so maybe the time for the worst of the early symptoms is just about passing you by now, quite like mine are (mine were never particularly bad anyway, some pulling feelings, queasy if I didn't remember to eat often enough, bloatedness and tiredness). I remember reading the other day you were having to go to the loo a lot in the night, I don't envy you that! My mum didn't know she was pregnant with my sister until she was about 12 weeks gone, as she didn't have any symptoms at all! Both she and my sister also didn't show until really late on, maybe something to do with having a retroverted uterus so they carried more to the back than to the front. I'm really glad now I had a scan at 10 weeks, as like you, all the bad news on this thread was starting to worry me a bit so that when the day came I was more nervous than I was excited, (I'll probably be the same this time next week when it's the day before my 12 week scan!), sometimes ignorance can indeed be bliss! Hope you can relax a wee bit, try and absorb some of the DH's positivity :)

Kirstipops · 16/03/2014 11:21

ohthegoats , I like that statistic too :)

ohthegoats · 16/03/2014 11:49

I don't feel pregnant at all today. Slept well, went to a pump class and for a swim.. ate massive bbreakfast, don't feel sick. Out for lunch with relatives and haven't even dressed to hide bloat, just put on normal clothes. Boyfriend thrilled, I'm scared. Absurd isn't it.
