We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

I had what felt like loads of blood taken. The book I got from the midwife said some of the blood tests were done before 10 weeks for a reason but that might be brcause DH is from South Africa so we're having one or two extra tests.

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/03/2014 21:51

Oh I see me23! I was surprised it was your first too but it's hard to remember what everyone's said in such a big group!

mum2kiss · 11/03/2014 21:58

Trouble I completely forgot to ask about physio. I have my booking in appt tomorrow so will try to get my sieve brain to work!

Yay for all the good scan news! Will hopefully get a date for mine tomorrow!

clairemiss79 · 11/03/2014 22:17

Hey mrsthedog due date buddy! I'm great thanks apart from the nausea and exhaustion haha. I managed to get a scan at 8+3 and saw the sac and heartbeat. It was fab. Just counting every day till the 12 week one. How are you doing?

MundayCakes85 · 11/03/2014 23:05

To those who asked I got my blood results back within a week ready for my 12 week scan last week when I was actually only 10+4 ish. Going back next Thursday when I'll be 12+4ish to date pregnancy better. Baby wasn't playing ball and was facing my back but saw the heartbeat clearly.
Well done on all the good news scans today xxx

MrsCaptainReynolds · 12/03/2014 00:16

Just checking in, partly with the intention of moaning about my nausea, retching and tiredness. But so sorry to see that there have been some losses since I last read. So sorry officelady and cakebaker.

My urine from booking appointment has come back positive for GroupB Strep. Anyone in the same boat? Sounds like I'm going to have a fairly medicalised birth -into hospital first sign of labour, then i.v. Antibiotics...

Me23 · 12/03/2014 06:32

I meant to say great news from recent scans let's hope we continue in that vein.

It is hard keeping up with everyone but think as we all progress it will become more familiar.

trouble haha at my 1st! I remember that pregnancy with no other kids to think about was a lot easier. This is my 3rd and this one had better be a good sleeper!

I'm so pleased I was signed off for a week I'm still knakered but so much better than I was there's no way I could have continued like that.

BingoBango85 · 12/03/2014 07:32

Have peoples been given that form for free prescriptions yet? Forgot to ask at booking in yesterday. Was holding off seeing the dentist until I'd been given it (cheapskate)

magichandles · 12/03/2014 07:34

MrsCaptainReynolds - I had Group B Strep with DC2 but it was only picked up at the last minute and I'd actually given birth by the time the results came back - DC2 was born only about 45 minutes after my waters were broken so they let us go home with the proviso we came back in at the first sign of anything wrong (mainly signs of jaundice if I recall).

I'm still feeling rubbish - I don't know how you ladies with actual sickness manage, but the constant nausea is really starting to get me down. I've gone off tea as well - which is completely unheard of for me!

binkybunny · 12/03/2014 07:38

Bingo the midwife gave me the form to send off to get my exemption certificate at my booking in. Trying to get registered with a dentist at the mo which is proving harder than thought. Noone seems interested in taking on new patients!

Did you not get given tons of paperwork it could be in?

ohthegoats · 12/03/2014 07:50

I got the exemption form, and sent it off, 3 weeks ago (because of needing to pay for heparin)... it still hasn't arrived. I've had another lot of heparin in that time, too. My GP says she's not supposed to prescribe the heparin, and won't do it again - it needs to be prescribed by a consultant.

I'm not sure what to do next actually. I had bloods taken 3 weeks ago too, and haven't heard anything back - I assume that means things are OK. I was also referred to the tricky births consultant bit at the hospital 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I don't need a 12 week NHS scan because I'm doing the Harmony thing, so I don't even know if I need to book my own 16 week appointment etc.

Should probably find this stuff out.

mrsb87 · 12/03/2014 07:52

bingo I got my paprr work filled in when I went to see my gp at 5 weeks and thad the card sent through about 2 wks later, thank goodness I did get it dine early with amount if meds I've been on!

magichandles the nausea can be just as exhausting as the actual sickness I'm finding. I've been off tea abd coffee since wk 4 and miss a nice creamy latte and a yummy cuppa tea!

bumpbangbump · 12/03/2014 07:53

You can ask for a medical exemption form at the gp, doesn't have to be the midwife.

So nice to hear about some good scans. Congratulations guys.

10+3 today and mine is a week on Monday. In some ways it feels like time is going so fast and others like I've been waiting forever! Keep feeling really panicked that there's nothing in there but cake and wind...

Hope everyone has a good day. Day off for me so think we'll hit a farm and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts

Kirstipops · 12/03/2014 08:16

Lovely to hear about the latest scans, yay sparkle and portico! My 12wk scan is on 24th March, feeling quite positive after my scan on Friday though, would have been nice to hear the heartbeat but seeing it punch and shimmy around was nice :) This is my first, for some reason both sides of the family seem to think it's a boy as I've had an easyish time of it. Ironically though I feel I may have a touch of heartburn this morning though I've never had heartburn before so hard to tell! Have a good day guys, hope the sun shines where you are!

DuggiWontSleep · 12/03/2014 09:44

Hi,
Please can you remove me off the list. I went for a scan on Monday expecting to see my 10 week old baby instead I found out that he/she had stopped growing at 5 weeks.

I wish you all the best of luck in your pregnancies.

Xx

akachan · 12/03/2014 09:49

Oh Duggi, so sorry to hear of your loss.

Loulou888 · 12/03/2014 09:58

Duggi, I'm so sorry to hear that, hope you have lots of support around thinking of you x

Pickofthepops · 12/03/2014 10:09

Sorry to hear of your loss Duggi. Hope you have lots of support.

Ohthegoats I inject clexane too but GP has prescribed having seen letter from haematologist I was under with ds saying I needed it ASAP pregnant again (previous dvt). Presumed they wouldn't do persecution but have given me 2 months worth now. Have obstetric appt at hosp on 26/3 same day as 12 wk scan. Am hoping for some haematology supervision though as I know it's safe but Would rather someone see me about it a few times.will your chemist not take your word that you have an exemption cert on the way? Mine do.

Sickness intermittent .. Had weekend of nothing staying down. Back on metoclopramide and ranitidine. Think I prefer it coming up than the all day nausea and weak arms.

Going to have a read and catch up on thread fully now.

Pickofthepops · 12/03/2014 10:09

Persecution?? !!!!obviously I mean prescription !!

mum2kiss · 12/03/2014 10:27

Booking in appointment today...yikes!

sazzlehopes · 12/03/2014 10:30

Congrats on the good scans, and Duggi I'm so sorry to hear of your scan - that is awful news. Hugs to you and make sure you get plenty in RL.

akachan · 12/03/2014 10:31

I'm now 8 + 4 and phoned to chase up my booking in and they said it'll be more like 11 weeks. Apparently they are busier than they can ever remember. So that bodes well for October ! Sad

I'm now worried my scan will be pushed right back as well. Maybe I should pay for a private one but I'm a bit short of cash.

mrsb87 · 12/03/2014 10:39

Oh duggi I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Wishing you luck for future pregnancies xx

akachan I wouldn't worry about paying for an early scan. It won't make any difference to the outcome of anything. Chin up, I'm sure they won't let you wait too long.

Good luck mum2kiss! Be prepared for a boring hour or so!

Loulou888 · 12/03/2014 10:42

Akachan I have just had my appointment through today. I will be spot on 10 weeks when I go for my booking in appointment. Sure I was seen far earlier in my previous pregnancies. At least we won't then have a long wait for our scans to follow.

akachan · 12/03/2014 10:50

That's true Loulou and you're right Mrsb I guess I need to be patient!
