We're going through these fast! Thought seen as we were filling up the last thread fast I'd attempt a new thread, not sure how to copy our due date list over though... Could someone else do that?

FlipFantasia- glad you have found a good midwife practice. The nearest to us is a forty minute drive and less of a practise more mobile if that makes sense. The maternity wards here have maternity nurses no midwives. This shocked me it is all so different here. I have had a booking in appointment at my OB's office with a nurse. The midwifes' role is one entirely by the OB and complications seen by someone higher. Agree is very medicalised. It does make my family happy/ content- there is a huge height difference between me and dh and family history has shown that babies born to taller fathers are extremely difficult for the women in our family to birth. However, I would love a water birth, hmmm wonder if that is even an option......

Booking in appointment today at 7wks (knew GP had but wrong date on referral hence I got seen so early) Glad dp didn't come with me; would have been a waste of time for him. Lots of waiting about, form filling and bloods (no waking up on the floor this time!) Scan booked for 17th April which feels like yonks away! Punishment for early booking in! I have felt sick literally all day today

Back from the scan - was great, baby was jumping up and down like a little frog and waving its arms. Such a relief. The OB had a new 4D scanner in there which she tried out - amazing. Couldn't see too much with that at this stage, but will be great for the next scan!

Also feeling much less nauseous today, but now have a hideous toothache to replace it with! I've turned into the whiniest human on the planet!

I'm sorry just realised I didn't remove cakebaker trying again.

I see lots of cheese craving here! I was the same week 4 fruit & mcds on week 5, no appetite at all week 7 and week 8 heinz tomato soup! .,, wonder what it will b next week?? Dread to think! Craved the taste of rubber bands in my last pg!'

Congrats porcito it's nice to finally read some good scan news

I wish I'd kept a proper track of my cravings. I definitely had a chicken sandwich thing early on - probably weeks 5 and 6, then burgers followed that, then I went for broccoli and rice, potato waffles, cheese with apples.

At the moment I'm pretty able to eat as I used to, so quite varied stuff.

Another cheese addict here...had cheese sandwich for lunch and toast and cheese for dinner

Yay sparkle and porcito some good news, very happy to read this. Quite a few people having very early scans has anyone actually had the full 12 week scan yet? I have mine next week.

Two weeks on Thursday for my 12 week scan. Feels like an age away. Not had any other scans so nervous and excited.

Today's confession from me is that I poas just to make sure I'm still pregnant. No one else has confirmed it. Midwife just took my word for it so I needed some sort of proof to keep me going!

Anyone know when you get results from bloods taken at booking in appointment? Don't know my blood type so just finding that out will be good :-)

mine are just left over internet cheapies. The lines are super dark so think that's a good sign.

Great news sparkle I bet you are so relieved. Fingers crossed for yours (and everyone else's) next scan.

My body keeps playing nasty tricks on me - couple of days with much fewer symptoms which scares me into thinking something isn't right, followed by a couple of days of horrendous symptoms. Today involved my 20 minute walk from station to work taking nearly an hour as I puked in gutters along the way, sat on benches with head in hands and generally stumbled along at a snail's pace!

So pleased to read positive scan posts! Wonderful news...

So pleased to read about your scans sparkle and portico.

I ended up having a nap today. DP had the day off work to "enjoy" his birthday and has ended up making me breakfast in bed, plus lunch and tea. He's also looked after DD all day.
I feel a bit guilty.

Pebble we have the same scan date. I'll be 12 weeks spot on!

Haha pebble I have thought about POAS again but then forget as don't keep them in bathroom, it is tempting though as even at this stage I'm still paranoid nothing comes up on screen at scan.

I didn't get bloods done at booking in, she said they get done after my scan which my sister said was silly because it's better to have downs blood test results in time for scan so they can advise on risk then and there (sigh) suppose every hospital is different.

Oops no sorry trouble I copied and pasted elliedubloo post to do the list but I forgot to cut her post out! I added myself ages ago. I'm 9+1 today will be getting 'booked' by my lovely friend on thurs. I'm another one who hasn't had any early scans haven't had any symptoms that would warrant an nhs scan and I wouldn't pay £100 for a private one. Hopefully should have one in next 3 weeks.
