Hello memedragon congratulations...know what you mean, even though this will be my third I'm still excitedly anxious! Hopefully when you have had your 20week scan you will relax a little.

Hi secretlypregnant, thanks for the welcome! So far all has been pretty standard, from what I can gather, felt pretty ill in the first trimester and could barely eat anything without blowing up like a balloon and getting horrible indigestion, but feeling generally OK now except for being more tired than usual. I don't think I'm feeling any movement yet - although sometimes I think I can but it might just be normal digestive twitches - but I really want this to start happening so I can know the baby is OK in there! Listened to heartbeat at midwife appointment a couple of weeks ago and I have no reason to think there's a problem, but my brain isn't very rational at the best of times. Also wish my stomach would hurry up and become a proper bump, at the moment I just look a bit tubbier than usual!

Hewhodares - I hope so too, I did relax a little bit after I my 12 weeks scan and nuchal results, fingers crossed the same will happen after this scan! For some reason I can't quite believe that it is all really happening, it's all a bit surreal - there's a baby growing inside me! It just seems weird, even though it is a totally normal thing.

Oh thank you! Great idea ItsSoFluffyImGoingToDie just to confuse matters...due date 22nd Aug but will be having an elective c section at 38-39 weeks depending on what's decided. I'm 40 have 2DD ... And I think I'm having another pink one! Hoooooorah!

I'm 30, this is my first baby - no idea whether it's a boy or girl yet, not even an inkling. Will find out if we can though, as long as baby isn't being uncooperative and hiding the tell-tale parts!

Hi everyone.
I had my 16 week midwife appointment today and it was great. Was glad to see everything was fine with my bloods and no protein or glucose in my wee so that was also good. Midwife was genuinely impressed when feeling my belly because lying down...its really obvious to feel where everything is. I'm not small (size 16/18) so there is a lot of padding. and finding heartbeat (150bpm....girl or boy??? )was fast too because I told her where it would be. She did not tell me my flutters were probably wind either....it is written on my notes I have felt flutters . I love her but its the last time I will see her. She is due a little girl in May and her Mat leave starts mid april . My appointment ran on time and she did not rush me. I'm not bragging.... but it was such a positive experience and I'm hoping next midwife is just as great. Fingers crossed.
Good luck to all the 20 week scans...mine is 28th march. Day after my birthday .

Would be interesting if those who know they're having boys can tell us the heart rate of their babies!

I'm not fussed what I have but I really can't wait to find out. I would love a boy because I've found boys better to look after as a nanny. But my son will be named after his dad/grandad/grt grandad as is tradition.... I don't like that. I want him to have his own name. But I wouldn't mind a girl because my MIL has 2 sons and her only grandchild is a boy so a girl would be a lovely change. Either way I'm happy....but if a boy, my son will go by his middle name

Hey ladies glad all are well, about the primark jeans, the top of the jeans before the elastic is not comfortable, especially if your bump starts from your pubic area upwards. I think they need a little work on them. Although I love the stretch feel to them.

4 weeks till 20week scan. Argh it's taking too long!!!!

Hey Missv- I picked up some primark jeans in my usual size but obviously maternity ones and I found them huge!

Im sure they will fit in the coming weeks a lot of my friends highly recommended them.

I have found H&m ones the best they come with the full belly band which I personally think is super comfy it helps to support the belly a bit especially after delivery when you are all jelly like ha!

there are loads of discount codes going around just now too so could pick up a bargain

I'm having a boy and when we had his heart rate measured at 12+6 it was about 154bpm. I have been told anything between 120 and 170 is normal.

It's all crap then, ha ha! :-)
