hi all....congrats jess on your pink bump!! boys still rock though...

well i've had another fun morning, got a letter from the council saying that they have overpaid me housing benefit and they need £480 back! where i'm going to find nearly £500 at the drop of a hat i'm not sure. i'm actually very angry because it's their fault that they have overpaid me, and the reason i didn't query it with them is because of bad advice given to me back in june! i was in tears down the phone to them this morning, but apparently current law says i have to repay it, so there we go! i know this sort of thing happens all the time, but i still never thought it'd happen to me! ah well, pimping my ass it is then! hey, i wonder if i'd get any 'modelling' work on the back of the photoshoot i did!?

laughalot · 13/09/2006 15:06

Jess congrats on the girl finally my little girl has a pink friend .

Ellie the little people thing is great we have one to.

Urban am I now needing to pay a visit to the council to hit them

theUrbanDryad · 13/09/2006 15:30

yeah, i was sobbing down the phone going, "i'm 6 months pregnant and getting married at the end of this month, how am i going to find £480???" he was very sympathetic at the other end, but not much use. basically, it hinges on the fact that i was on incapacity benefit from 16th march-25th april and that because of dodgy advice given to me by my local jobcentre (apologies to anyone who works for the benefits agency, but they do all seem to be retarded and incompetent) otherwise i could've gone straight onto jobseeker's allowance and none of this would be a problem.

add all this to the fact that i was wide awake at 3 this morning and couldn't sleep due to my little badger dude playing trampoline in my uterus and i am one unhappy dryad! so exhausted....still, am not working for the rest of the week now so can have an afternoon nap...

laughalot · 13/09/2006 16:54

laughalot · 13/09/2006 19:14

Salt do you know what your having ?

2Happy · 13/09/2006 19:18

Evening! Congrats on the girl, Jessddibs! Congrats on the ?????EPM.... go on! go on! go on! Tell us Not that I can talk. We were still deciding while in the waiting room for the scan and eventualy chose not to find out the sex. Still not sure if it was the right decision, but they said they note it down so you can always phone up at a later date and find out. Anyway, all else was good. Baby was lying ridiculously scrunched up and they couldn't see one of its feet, but everything else was fine. Still find it odd to have seen inside my baby's brain!

UD - sheesh do these people have no compassion?! You can bet that if you'd made a mistake like that they'd quickly tell you it was your problem, sort it out, but when it's their fault, it's still your problem?? Unfair

LadyTophamHatt · 13/09/2006 19:30

well, the law of averages must mean it's a girl because there are about 100 boys so far.... but you could be trying to trick us...so it probably a boy.
But then you could be doing a double bluff and it is a girl....

OH...just tell us ellie...just tell us

elliepippamummy · 13/09/2006 19:40

Hello

Just eating my fish and chips yum yum, well it is a

ANOTHER GIRL!!!

DH just about picked himself up off the floor in shock at the thought of living with 3 females, think he really wanted a boy because this means the end of his family name but I am really really pleased as wanted another girl and said all along thought this was a girl so yippee!!

2Happy · 13/09/2006 19:45

Congrats - big pink hug, EPM! Soooo, two scans today and two girls - does that make it more or less likely that mine is a girl?!!

elliepippamummy · 13/09/2006 19:54

thanks 2happy hadnt thought about that, so pleased we did find out as can sort out clothes in loft etc also can buy afew new bits in the sales (I'll be in the next xmas sale 5 days before having this one!!!) Congrats everyone on the little girls, 2 happy the suprise will be nice.

saltcod · 13/09/2006 23:26

Aaaaahhhhhh....... congratulations on the "pinks" Jess, EPM & Laughalot.

Had our 22 wk scan a couple of weeks ago & chose not to find out, so I'll be joining you on the "surprise" 2Happy ....... unless, of course, you cave in & find out before then . Had no idea they made a note of it on your notes! So now I've got to avoid looking at anything between the legs on any future scans and also avoid taking a sneaky peak at my notes when I have my next consultant appointment..... lol

Anyone heard from Katierocket recently? Hope she's doing ok...

kaylasmum · 14/09/2006 11:28

Hi, Just thought i'd let you all know that i had my 20 week scan last friday and all is well. I posted here a couple of weeks ago as i had'nt been feeling much movement and this is my fifth baby so expected to feel something pretty early on. Found out that the placenta is lying at the front so this is making it more difficult to feel any movements but was very releived to find that everything looks ok and to top it all found out that i'm having a boy! I'm so excited as this is what i was hoping for, ihave 3 girls and one boy and really wanted anothe boy. Although i'm a bit out of practice where boys are concerned as my son is 20 years old but i do have a 5 month old grandson so i'll just have to borrow him a lot so i can get used to it again!!

Tracey.

theUrbanDryad · 14/09/2006 11:35

congrats all on your pink bumps!! have you all filled in your stats on the other thread? maybe we could do some sort of graph......nah, that's just stupid isn't it?

just remembered something - when i first found out i was pregnant i did a chinese prediction thing and it said i was going to have a boy (even though at that point we were convinced we were going to have a girl!!) don't know why i thought of that, thought i'd share it with you though...

had my wedding dress fitted today, with the shoes on and everything, felt really faint and sick! hope this is just last-minute nerves and not a precursor of how i'm going to feel on the actual day! two weeks on saturday....not that i'm nervous! oh no, not me. nerves of steel, me.......

elliepippamummy · 14/09/2006 11:35

Congrats Kaylasmum lad you found out the reaon behind lack of movements. Any names for your little boy yet?

OP posts:
elliepippamummy · 14/09/2006 11:39

Think that may be last minute nerves UD!!!! I did the chinese gender thing and it was right when I had DD1 but couldnt work it this time as I conceived around my birthday and it said boy if I concieved when I was 26 and a girl if I was 27 so I am assuming I fell pg when I was 27 either that or it is all crap and they're doing the 50/50 guess !!!!!!

OP posts:
2Happy · 14/09/2006 11:40

What's the chinese gender thing??

elliepippamummy · 14/09/2006 11:49

It predicts the sex of your baby on what age you were when you conceived and the month you conceived in I have tried to do a link but you'll probably need to cut and paste it as I can't do links!!!

Ooh! That comes out pink! (and it corrctly predicts blue for when I conceived ds...)
