Bornin its interesting that you've mentioned movements cos I'm 32 weeks today and although I'm still feeling movements, they're definitely more like squirms than punches and kicks (although I get the odd one of those too!).

Happy sunday everyone, hope you are all as well as can be expected!

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 09/03/2014 10:25

Mine seemed to change at bang on 32 weeks too - I don't get proper kicks as much anymore, just massive wriggles and squirms that change the shape of my bump (and feel really uncomfortable!)

ClearlyMoo · 09/03/2014 10:42

GrinAnother swim today.

I lead with a positive. This one was of as beneficial and has left my leg spasmming. Mmm. Also crowded pool some ladies a bit mean to me as I was doing a mix of swimming/walking and stretching. When I got out they realised I was preggo and apologised after in changing room! They were actually quite friendly.

Think I'll leave swimming tomorrow as I probably need to rest!Confused

GULP!!! Email today to say first baby in our NCT class has arrived! He was due just 12 days before my baby but his Mum had some problems. Makes everything feel really real and scary now!

I try to avoid the pool at weekends, the kids there get very rough and have no consideration at all, and their parents aren't much better. Favourite time to go is a weekday afternoon at 2 - so quiet and lovely. I have been having some sneaky jacuzzi pool time lately Blush but OH always comes with me and if I start to look like I'm getting too warm or uncomfortable, he drags me back to the cold pool Grin

dobedobedo · 09/03/2014 12:28

Leading with a positive: I had pancakes and some chocolate for breakfast! It looks lovely outside too so I'm remembering last summer weekends when we'd sit out in the garden, drinking crabbies and barbecuing ribs Grin And this summer I don't have to boil in a pesky office all week, I'm imagining baby in a paddling pool, along with my feet, relaxing! Yup. I'm sure it will be like that, not drowning under laundry and nappies! Grin

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 09/03/2014 13:30

I forgot to start with a positive today Shock Blush

My positive is that it's such a lovely sunny day, I'm thinking ahead like dobe - baby in a paddling pool, taking him or her to the beach when we go back to visit the grandparents. And lots of laundry and nappies but a lovely snuggly baby too. And that this time last year, I never would've even imagined how different my life would be, and yet I actually feel now like I want to be a mum and I don't miss the drunk student nights or anything like that.

I love the sun, it always brings out my happy thoughts Grin

randdom · 09/03/2014 13:53

It has been such a lovely weekend so far! Brighton is so lovely in the summer. We went for an ice cream sundae yesterday and then sat in the beach with a hot chocolate and watched the sun set! Today we have the patio doors open and the cats are all lying in the sun!

Plus today we are going to pick up the co-sleeper that we found for less than half price on eBay!

ClearlyMoo · 09/03/2014 14:22

Grin Washing on the line! The Ocado man just brought me loads of chocolate (I has ordered it!)

Am washing all the baby stuff we've got... Most of it is hand me down neutral which came already washed but for some (mad) reason I need to wash it again myself!! I managed to hang 6 sleep suits on the line which is a major triumph for me mobility wise. May suffer later though!!

I'm so excited about having a baby to put in all these darling clothes!!

So my plan for starting new thread (probably tonight at the rate we're going) is to write a non cliquey "welcome all May Mums to be" opening post with the links to google docs and then suggesting that in "place marking" post you introduce yourself so that when new people look we look like a super friendly bunch. Then we can get back to all the usual gossip and if people want to join they can!!

What do peeps think?

Hope you're all having LOVELY sunny days. DH cooking lunch! Roast Ham! Yum!!

So busy being positive (and efficient?) I forgot to ask Randdom... Oooh what is your bedside crib off eBay. We want to get one. Is it a second hand one or one they sell lots if IYSWIM? Thanks

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 09/03/2014 14:38

That sounds like a good efficient idea Clearly Grin guessing we'll have lots more now we're into maternity leave time nearly?

I've just made the nicest-tasting tuna pasta bake ever! Going to have some when OH goes to work (he's not a tuna person at all)

Hands and feet have swollen painfully today Sad got a headache too... should I be worried though, seeing as I've had headaches since about 20 weeks and they think it's something neurological rather than pregnancy-related? This headache is a little different but not very... Hmm

LongTailedTit · 09/03/2014 14:52

Good plan Clearly! :)

dobedobedo · 09/03/2014 15:50

Moomin, headache and sudden swelling is a phone the labour ward and get there pronto thing. Pre eclampsia is serious and needs urgent attention. Go get checked.

Clearly, sounds good!

bushprincess · 09/03/2014 15:55

Hey all!! just checking in from Jo'burg airport after a fabulous wedding weekend... Bride was stunning, Groom was over-emotional and the pastor was hilarious (pretty much an improv-wedding service!!!). The bride's from Lesotho, the Groom from France so was a wonderfully multi-cultrual event with plenty of Ululation and spontaneous signing and dancing. Rain held off until after the outdoor ceremony and then we danced the night away (even bump!). So lovely to see friends from around the world!

Flight to Mauritius first thing tomorrow, so airport hotel tonight. DH happy that he gets to watch Wales vs England (though not so happy at the score so far!) and I thought I'd just check in on everyone and see how you're doing!

Belated happy birthday for Friday MrsFoo! Hope you got spoilt!! Great news on the flat moomin fingers crossed it continues to go smoothly (sooner you're away from crazy flat mate the better!). Dobe so sorry to hear about the potential pre-eclampsia scare... hope things are ok as they monitor you...

Huge hugs to everyone else, esp the GD/PGP suffer-ers, all those dealing with wank badgers (LOVE that saying!!) and anyone else who needs a hug for any reason.

Catch up with you all soon! Thinking of you all!

randdom · 09/03/2014 16:11

ClearlyMoo we found an arms reach second hand on ebay which was collection only from 20 mins away from her which is lucky. There do always seem to be loads of second hand ones on there though. If you don't mind which type you get through there are loads of co-sleepers for a range of prices on amazon. I think I would have gone for the troll one if I hadn't found this :)

loopylou52 · 09/03/2014 16:23

Loving all the positivity and sunshine today! We're making good progress on painting the nursery. Just been for a lovely walk in the sun but my pelvis is paying for it now! Still feel pleased with myself for managing to get out and have a bit of exercise though.

moomin - does sound like it's worth getting checked out, but might just be because of the heat.

Bornin1984 · 09/03/2014 17:33

We nearly at a new thread!! Who hook

MrsFooCough · 09/03/2014 18:40

Ohhh sunny summer weather has made us all cheer up it seems!
Our little Italian greyhound had a lovely run round the garden today, first time ever off lead outside Smile but the garden is enclosed (we checked everywhere) so she had a lovely and safe time! It was amazing to watch her beautiful muscles as she ran in the bright sunshine and did what she's designed to do Grin made me feel really positive about the future. Grandma is probably moving in here too, and we're all really chuffed - it's not going to be a much of a bind as you'd think, actually, she's very good fun and she and I can talk and talk until our jaws get tired! So I won't be as alone on weekdays when DH and DM are at work - mind you, DM's contract as a teaching assistant is up in August and the boy she works one-to-one with may not need her any more so she may be back home with us too! What a coven of nattering ladies we'll be! And with a newborn too! We'll have lovely lovely days in the garden I think, we've got nice big patio doors and now we know they can be opened we'll all love having the doggy running around!

Sorry that all seemed a bit boastful but tbh I'm just so glad I won't be alone any more Blush and any PND will definitely be spotted! Grandma was a nurse!

In other rambly news I have my first physio appt tomorrow - what should I expect?
