MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 04/03/2014 18:44

I'm so hungry today! My appetite's not been massive the last few weeks at all but today I just want to eat savoury things.

Growth scan tomorrow, hope baby keeps his/her legs crossed! My mum is so excited Grin

In terms of weight gain during pregnancy, is 9lb too much to have gained by 32 weeks?

NannyPlumForPM · 04/03/2014 19:06

Ahahahahahahahaha moomin- I got on the scales this morn and I've gained 2 stone! Almost to the lb

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 04/03/2014 19:11

Blush I'm clueless when it comes to weight. I work in dress sizes only. I only know because it's in my notes but doesn't say if it's good or bad; my mum refuses to have working scales in the house back home on principle Grin

NannyPlumForPM · 04/03/2014 19:14

Aww I wasn't saying you were silly, I was just saying I wish I'd only put on 9! I did put on 5 1/2 st with my first though- They say in the last trimester you can expect to gain 1lb per week so that's about a 1 1/2 st- 2 1/2 st weight gain in total I'd reckon. They would tell you if you start putting on way too much or too little :) have an extra pancake and try not to worry Wink

sambababy · 04/03/2014 19:16

If you think that the baby alone probably weighs a third of that, it's not much weight to put on at all!

I am still giggling at the 2 heads comment Grin

I've just finished icing my fanjo. Interpret that comment as you like lol

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 04/03/2014 19:21

samba is it a bad thing that my immediate thought was "sounds like another term for vajazzle"...

And my second thought was "maybe I should get a vajazzle".

Something like an eviction notice or a Fire Exit sign, just to give the baby some extra motivation when the time comes Grin

Bezzabelle · 04/03/2014 19:46

Oh 9lb, I wish! I think my boobs have put on 9lb alone. My total so far is also 2 stone and I'm not quite 28 weeks yet! My cheeks must weigh a few pound each too....

Choppa · 04/03/2014 19:50

Can I join the 2 stone club too..?Confused

On birthing positions I just couldn't sit or lie down at all during labour or the birth. I was walking around, kneeling or on all 4s. Each to their own I think !

hobbjobb · 04/03/2014 19:54

I bought everything to make pancakes, then remembered I have my GTT tomorrow, so pancakes gave been postponed, just in case!

Sorry everyone having issues, I'm still signed off just waiting for a physio appt now.
I'm 28+3 today, where is the time going!?

sambababy · 04/03/2014 19:55

moomin lmao!

impatientlywaiting · 04/03/2014 20:21

I've put on 3 stone 3lbs! My face is like a big round ball!! Shock

MrsFooCough · 04/03/2014 20:28

I now feel proper guilty for only gaining 1.5kg (about 3lb) between booking and 24wk appt... Blush

SarahJinx · 04/03/2014 20:42

Evening ladies

I gained 4 stone with DS and kept over half of it!!! I'm not weighing this time, haven't been weighed either since booking, notes just say fatty!

I did try on my jeans tonight though, was looking at some pics and convinced that although I weighed less pre preg last time, by this point I was bigger than I am now, in every way. LO and behold, jeans still fit, could even do them up under bump.

I'm shocked. Clearly there is plenty of time for that to change but it's a small, nice thing. It was super shit not fitting into anything last time and BF made me hank marvin, there was nine of that breast feed and feel the weight drop off gubbins!

Hooray for fil Moomin. Rubbish for anyone else in pain, thanks for the perspective though clearly, mine is horrid, and I can't sleep but I can at least walk, and not get stuck on the floor!

rebeccax2 · 04/03/2014 20:56

Just under 1.5 stone here!

waves at everyone. Sorry, been crazy busy at work. Lots of love to everyone x

dobedobedo · 04/03/2014 21:30

I have put on 1kg in total here! It was about 3kg but I have lost some weight in the past couple of weeks since I started feeling sick again. sarah I tried on pre pregnancy jeans over the weekend and they were too big for me! (not including bump, but I could push them down under the bump). Mind you, I was very overweight before getting pregnant so it's a good thing I haven't put much on! My boobs and belly are obviously bigger though and my face has got fatter too lately! Double chin ahoy! Grin

Thankfully baby has moved from transverse to breech so I can feel much stronger movements which is reassuring. Finally!

Dh is having a bit of a wobble. He keeps saying "Christ, only 2 months to go!" haha! Bless him.

Love to everyone! X Thanks

mummytobe88 · 04/03/2014 21:35

Just over 1.5 stone over here! Was having a bit of a panic about it as thought I'd gained a bit too much but so glad to hear everyone is roughly the same Smile

SarahJinx · 04/03/2014 21:43

Same for me dobedo v overweight and seriously cannot afford another 3 - 4 stone gain this time, particularly as I started out 2 stone heavier!!

I'm carrying totally differently this time too, high bump (rather than on my arse, ha!) hence jeans doing up i think.

I have rheumatoid arthritis too, in total remission whilst preg but likely to flare with a vengeance post birth, so the less pressure i can put on my poor old crappy joints the better.

PixieBumbles · 04/03/2014 21:45

I've gained 3kg over all. I lost 3kg during the first trimester then put 6kg back on!

I had a lovely chat with my midwife yesterday about my concerns over going into hospital and I've made the decision that a homebirth is for me, so I've been referred to the homebirth team and am just waiting to hear back from them. I feel so much better about the birth now, although I feel quite sad that this means I won't be seeing my lovely community midwife any more Sad

Minions · 04/03/2014 21:52

moomin, so glad it's all sorted and his dad did the right thing! Hope you hear word on your flat soon and then all will be fitting into place :)

I've put on over a stone (I'm pretty small so % wise it's prob quite a lot). It would have been more had it not been for rubbish first trimester where food was the enemy! The weight is all round my middle, none on boobs at all. I'm so flat chested, I was really looking forward to getting some decent sized boobs for once. Also means my bump looks massive as boobs haven't grown with it. To make matters worse, tiny size 8 girl in office is due two weeks after me and is still looking very neat but huge chest....grrrr ;)

moobaloo · 04/03/2014 22:16

Yay moomins fil!

I've put on just under a stone so far, been eating loads though! Have a big bump but don't seem to have put on any weight elsewhere except my boobs which have gone from an A cup to a DD!

Don't wish for it minions! New bigger boobs are covered in STRETCHMARKS and leak. Sad. Preferred old ones!

sambababy · 04/03/2014 22:26

I'm with you minions, small boobs make the bump look so much bigger! My chest size has gone up but the cup size looks the same. I also haven't leaked or anything yet so I hope they will be up to the job when the time comes Confused

Chip86 · 04/03/2014 22:34

Yay moomun glad it is getting sorted
hope thouse in pain feel better soon
i have but on nearly 3st was fat to begin with (high BMI)
Been told to watch what i eat and i have another scan in a few weeks to make sure baby not to fat, so far she is ok its just me, but im hugury
Right now to try to get some sleep hehehe oh i make my self laugh

MrsFooCough · 04/03/2014 23:02

I was 109.5kg at booking, BMI 40+ as I'm only 5'3" but at 24wks was 111kg so that's an achievement for me. I'm glad that it seems to be going hand in hand with no symptoms of pre-eclampsia (last BP was 126/84) and no symptoms of high blood sugar or sugar in my wee samples. Fingers crossed I can stay uncomplicated!
Those of you who've put on a matter of stones rather than pounds - just remember that although you may feel rubbish about being heavier, you are doing what is normal for your pregnancy. I've been so concerned with comparing myself with everyone else, Internet research etc, that I forgot the adage of every pregnancy is different and got so worried that I hadn't put on enough weight so bump must have been undersized - nope, midwife said bump was in fact a tiny bit big for dates, so try not to worry unless they worry. They're the pros, they've handled/delivered more babies than you (except maybe xav you've had loads of your own you could write books on the subject!) and will know what to do and how to handle it if your weight ever becomes an issue. The worst that might happen is your little one may need to come a few weeks early - as someone said on here, from wk36/7 they're pretty much done cooking in there anyway!

Lots of love and hugs and Cake (healthy boring cake for those who are Watching Their Food) xxxxxxxxxx

Isean · 05/03/2014 01:11

Aaargh, after writing & "posting" a big, long, whingey message on here it seems to have disappeared! Confused

dobedobedo · 05/03/2014 03:21

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night with an over riding thought and can't get back to sleep?
For the past two hours I've been worrying about what will happen to ds if I die in childbirth. Confused I mean, the baby will know no different but I'd worry about ds. Argh my brain is such a dick! Morbid or what?!

isean hope you're okay!
