I've been brave and started a new thread. Hope the name is ok....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dobedobedo · 28/02/2014 14:40

After hearing about all this piles business, I'm so glad that I seem to be craving fruit and fruit juice with this pregnancy! Shock

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 14:44

Ouch MrsFoo you have my sympathy!

I've (somehow) managed to avoid piles but I've given up on the lactulose and started iron tablets, if my body isn't going to do what it's supposed to then I may as well try and give myself as much energy as possible to deal with it Angry it has been a full week since the lactulose stopped working. My ear 'popped' like it does when you blow your nose this morning because I was trying so hard Blush I didn't even think that was possible.

On the bright side, I have an appointment with the gastreoenterology team at the hospital in March. Get the ball moving and hopefully get it sorted once and for all. I've told OH definitely no more children until they've fixed my scar and made my body work again Grin

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 14:47

On another happy-but-scary note... my due date is exactly two months away today... 28th April suddenly seems veeery close!

MrsFooCough · 28/02/2014 15:46

Oh moom you have no idea how jealous I am of you being the first due date on the group.
After BestMan and his gf had their pregnancy unplanned and while DH and I were beginning fertility investigations, I got very very angry-jealous of them, so I ignored their pg until I couldn't any more - then they popped out a tiny (6lb10) little girl and I almost broke down with sadness and jealousy, they did it all "by accident" and we have been waiting what seemed like aeons for this Bean! So my jealousy for them was not nice but it sort of gone now ~phew~
But my jealousy of you is all full of love and excitement because we're MAYBIE SISTERS Grin and I can't wait for the second Maybie Baby newborn pics Smile xxxxxxxxxxx

hobbjobb · 28/02/2014 16:00

moomin have you tried Fybrogel? Nothing works on my constipation as good as that does. It's a powder you mix with water and drink it.

We bought a co sleeper on eBay, think it was about £65 so much cheaper than the normal ones, this ones basically a 3 sided cot but it's shaped differently and we're attaching it to our bed with bungee cords, it looks good!

I've been signed off and referred for physio for PGP/SPD whatever they call it now
Has anyone had physio for pelvic pain? Silly question but are you nude?
Wondering if I need to defuzz my legs and bikini line as I'm currently saving it all up for a pre-birth wax grin

hobbjobb · 28/02/2014 16:00

Grin even...

SarahJinx · 28/02/2014 16:06

Ooh bob that is a GREAT question, surely the physio doesn't need to actually eyeball the aching Anjou bone though??

Mind you, when I spent the evening in the dau last week legs akimbo I was also silently wishing I'd bothered to shave past my knees, anxiously gazing at spiky bits, still haven't done it since though!

SarahJinx · 28/02/2014 16:07

God, bob! Hobb! Sorry!

SarahJinx · 28/02/2014 16:09

And,Anjou? Fanjo.....Smile

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 16:14

MrsFoo Grin no idea what I'd have done without my Maybie sisters on these threads! I'd be a quivering pregnant wreck hiding under the duvet Grin

Hobb I used to have it when they started investigating why I was having these problems, but it didn't do much. I have a scale of how much things have helped get things moving - on a scale of Fybogel to the last time I had Burger King (unfortunately I don't consider the good effects to be worth the vomiting and pain of Burger King!) Grin Laxido is another powder one I had... tasted rank and did very little. Lactulose works great for me when it does work... it's just that it seems to have stopped.

I had ordered a big bag of apples and a big bag of pears from ASDA... they substituted it for cooking apples and the only type of pears I hate, so that was a non-starter Angry

As for fuzz... I'm keeping legs completely shaved and doing a bit of topiary every few days. If this pregnancy has taught me anything, it's that you never know when someone (a medical professional, of course) will want to take a look at your lady garden.

dobedobedo · 28/02/2014 16:34

Hobb I am getting physio for spd/pgp/whatever they call it now! And no, I haven't had to get naked, thankfully!

I did have to take my top off and wear a bra with my trousers. This was so the physio could assess my back when I stand, bend etc. I also had to roll my trousers up so the physio could see my feet and ankles because they affect your pelvis. She didn't even touch my fanjo bone (lol). But she did bend my legs this way and that and she had me touch the floor with my legs straight and bend and stretch so she could assess everything.

I haven't shaved my legs in forever. I really must do that this weekend before DH gets confused between his legs and mine! Blush

hobbjobb · 28/02/2014 16:40

Oh no don't say that moomin they'd need a weedwacker to find my bits right now.
DP asked me for some sexy time the other night and I told him 'if you can find it, you can have it'. Poor guy.
Maybe it is time to start a maintenance programme then Blush

sarahjinx I'll answer to Bob. And Anjou sounds much more upmarket, It make me think of a fanjo with a big curly wig and white powdered cheeks, French Revolution style Grin

SarahJinx · 28/02/2014 16:56

You have to say it in a really heavy accent too, whilst sexily smoking a black fag and looking und your eyelashes surely?

"Ahhhnnnnjoooo"

?

MrsFooCough · 28/02/2014 16:58

Haha regarding the lady garden situation I have officially given up on mine. It's bad enough anyway, but at the moment waxing is so bloody AWFUL when the REGROWTH comes through, DH made a tentative agreement that if he wants me to get another wax before Bean pops out, he's also having one - a sack & crack. HAHA.

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 17:04

Sounds like a fair swap MrsFoo

Wonder whether OH would swap the current agreement we've got for a sack & crack wax... current agreement is that whether he wants sex or not, he shaves my legs and assists with general gardening duties. I can't see my toes anymore let alone my Anjou (I quite like that phrase Grin Blush )

dobedobedo · 28/02/2014 17:10

My dh is so grateful to get sex he doesn't mention the hairyness. Bless him!

PotatoPolly · 28/02/2014 17:19

Wowee this thread moves so fast I just can't keep up!

I've been signed off for 2 weeks with back pain, went to physio today and they'd booked my appt yesterday not today :( I actually walked out in tears, the lady was just like 'oh I must have booked it on the wrong day, oopsie' all sweetness and light Angry sat in my car having a meltdown! Blush

Poor ladies with piles, thinking of you! Thanks

Talking of a fuzzy anjou... DH offered to wax mine for me, but I'm not so sure...

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 17:27

Why do people act so nice around pregnant women so that even if you want to scream and rage at them, you just can't? Angry

If they were unbearably rude I'd complain just as much Grin

PotatoPolly · 28/02/2014 17:43

It was the fact she was just like 'whoops a daisy! Don't have an appt free now til next thurs! Oh well'

Even if I'd wanted to rage I think I'd have just burst into tears!

Bornin1984 · 28/02/2014 17:59

Is any body off to the baby show next weekend in Manchester

sambababy · 28/02/2014 18:09

Arrgh I really annoy myself too when I get angry because all I do is burst into tears! And then I look pathetic not like the strong independent woman I was going for!

mrsfoo one word: xyloproct (cream)

moomin have you tried pineapple? I ate it first thing yesterday morning and last thing at night, and this morning practically had to run to the loo. I think it must've been the pineapple!

LO has a new party trick. Whenever I do the bridge in Pilates, they wait til I have my tummy sticking out at the top, then I swear they are doing a moony! All you can see is this bum poking out one side of my belly button. It looks like the sugarloaf mountain. And giggling is no good for deep breathing.

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/02/2014 18:09

I can't tell if I'm being unreasonable and I'm not brave enough to ask AIBU as no doubt I'd be branded an in-law hater and controlling girlfriend and "38 weeks isn't THAT far along, my boyfriend went to the moon when I was 41 weeks pregnant", so I'm going to ask here first Blush

OH's parents have booked a weekend away, the weekend of the 13th April.
His sister and BIL have done the same as its their wedding anniversary this weekend.
They want OH to go home, two hours away, for the weekend to watch the dogs and make sure the birds get fed (they keep rescued birds of prey so no-one but family members can feed them)
I'll be 38 weeks pregnant.
Would it really be unreasonable to assume they'd have considered the fact that I'll be 38 weeks pregnant and maybe one of them to have booked for the weekend before/after? His sister lives 10 minutes away from their parents, we're 2 hours away. The dogs can't be left so what happens if I go into labour? I'll just hold it in until his parents get back??

Angry

I've probably posted about it on here before but he reminded me about it yesterday.
Grr!

sambababy · 28/02/2014 18:12

YANBU! (Lol I getting the hang of this now)

Bornin1984 · 28/02/2014 18:40

My dh is at the pub tonight for the first time in 6 months! I feeling pathetic and rather lonely

hobbjobb · 28/02/2014 18:41

Sod that moomin tell them they have to find someone else! or failing that then they can hire people to come in and feed pets, it's not very expensive.
