I've been brave and started a new thread. Hope the name is ok....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsFooCough · 24/02/2014 15:08

Ohh kally just try and breathe deeply. I feel your pain. I'm avoid our GP surgery for just that reason, there are some really ignorant and unpleasant people who judge the locums who come in who may happen to not have English as a first language. It's just infuriating when you know that they're just doing their damnedest to keep a very very busy surgery running smoothly. Ugh.

Oh and on the leaky boob front randdom my right one is the worst too. Lefty is leaking tiny amounts of clear stuff, righty has progressed to equally tiny amounts of milky white stuff. PRACTISING FOR BAAAAABYYYY

MrsFooCough · 24/02/2014 15:09

Oh bornin good luck! Fingers crossed it's just like moomin's BabyMoom who loves to hide right up until they put the tracer on and then has a disco!

dobedobedo · 24/02/2014 15:10

bornin I hope everything is okay! Keep us updated!

I've just popped on for a quick rant. I have to work with the most awful mysogynistic fuckwit today and tomorrow. He's trying to muscle in on my work and I haven't even left yet! Also he actually argued with me whether I'd last until April or not. Who does he think he is?!

UUUUUUUGHHHHHH FUCK OFF YOU WANKER.

Xavielli · 24/02/2014 15:52

Hope alls well, Bornin xx

OBEM tonight, I'm rather looking forward to it :)

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 24/02/2014 16:17

Hope all is well bornin and like mrsfoo says, it's just picking up bad habits off mini moom Grin

bushprincess · 24/02/2014 16:25

let us know that all is ok bornin... hope bean gives the monitor a hefty kick!

sorry you've got to work with such a fkwit dobe - had you mentioned him before trying to poach some of your clients (sorry if that was someone else and we've several crappy colleagues hanging about)

I'm being dense xavielli whats OBEM??

NannyPlumForPM · 24/02/2014 16:37

Assuming one born every minute? Last time I watches dh fainted Grin

Hope Alls ok bornin. , hopefully baby 'a just being tricksy

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 24/02/2014 16:42

Oooh I'm so excited for OBEM Grin

MrsFooCough · 24/02/2014 16:46

Haha bush OBEM is a tv documentary on Channel4 here in the UK, it's short for One Born Every Minute and it follows a maternity ward (or maybe more than one ward? I'm new to it myself) with birth stories and midwife stories, it's really very good!

bushprincess · 24/02/2014 16:50

ah!! thanks mrsfoo and nanny! sounds interesting! maybe I'll ask my parents to record it so I can watch it when I get home!

enjoy everyone!

sambababy · 24/02/2014 16:50

Oh one born every minute! I outright refused to watch that even once before I got pregnant in case it terrified me too much to go through with, but actually it's such a lovely programme!

I have missed a lot. bornin how is baby doing? bush really happy you're sorted now and can relax a bit more.

What is AIBU? Blush I made a comment on a thread yesterday about flying when pg. I politely said I disagreed with one of the posts, I think it was pretty diplomatic and certainly wasn't intended to offend, but the person after me went off on one at this other poster, it was totally unnecessary! And in childbirth there was a thread about 'episiotomies aren't all that bad' - my goodness, the venom that poor OP got, it's insane! I genuinely believe her original comment came from a good place. I for one was glad to read they weren't horrific all the time, but I had to stop reading the other comments!! People can be so mean.

McBaby · 24/02/2014 16:57

Very excited for obem later trying to get DP to watch it is not happening. I thought it might prepare him in case he needs to deliver this baby!

bushprincess · 24/02/2014 17:17

thanks samba how are you feeling about everything now - have you had a good chat with your Dr about ways round the 'flat on your back' policy?

AIBU - am I being unreasonable? seems to be the place where most of the mean posts come out, such a shame to see how mean people can be elsewhere when people are generally asking for support etc... I suppose you just need to be prepared and ignore the mean posts!

MrsFooCough · 24/02/2014 18:15

Oh gosh yes bush I read the entirety of the "my best friend wants me to police her PFB's 1st birthday party and by the way she's not letting older children participate in any of the entertainment, they're expected to sit quietly and hold balloons Hmm " thread and most posters were quite nice if rather vehement. But one poster then said "it's none of your business how your [best] friend [of 19years] wants to organise her son's birthday party" and got really shirty with the OP! Not fair as the OP was genuinely asking for help/advice and her best friend was rather roping her into the crazy surrounding her PFB's rather mental-sounding party.

So the AIBUs that I've seen are great fun to lurk on but do rather illustrate how obnoxious some people seem to think they can be on the Internet. Anonymity works well for some but others take advantage and are just nasty Sad

OBEM TONIGHT I'M SO EXCITED also DH just walked in with fish&chips Grin

dobedobedo · 24/02/2014 18:34

I'm in such a pissy mood this evening.
Our sales director (not my boss) reckons he has to come to all my visits with me because I'm pregnant and I need some support.
Is this discrimination? I don't need his fucking support because I'm pregnant. I'll be telling him (again) tomorrow. Rawr! Angry

I feel like all I've done today is argue with this prick.

Sorry for the rant. Just ignore me!

bushprincess · 24/02/2014 18:43

sorry dobe sounds like you're having a right time of it at work....rant away

bushprincess · 24/02/2014 19:29

oh dear - DH being away (again!) is not good for me... lack of motivation to cook has lead to me having the wonderfully balanced dinner of;
-a corn on the cob
-bowl of chocolate icecream

followed by a chaser of more chocolate!!! Blush

opps!! am off to bed to avoid anymore chocolate (and to escape the damn mosquitoes that are eating me alive grrrrr.......

dobedobedo · 24/02/2014 19:34

bush that sounds like a decent meal to me! I wouldn't have bothered with the corn though! Wink

Dh is currently making chilli con carne, bless him. I can smell it and I'm ready to eat the sofa cushions, so he'd better hurry up! Grin

ClearlyMoo · 24/02/2014 19:37

Ummmmm think I might have felt my first bad discomfort with BH! I've had them before (after sex) just felt like tightening but this one just came on from under my bump and then hard bump and it hurt! Just reclining while I wait for dinner on the sofa! Ouchy! I couldn't move! Is this normal?

Had a really good day. Work meeting that I spent ALL weekend working for went well and I was home in time to watch visiting nephew (8 months) eat his dinner before bed. Was a bundle of energy all day then suddenly WHACK - I'm wiped out! Is it just me or do others have pockets of energy and not feeling pregnantness followed by "stuck to sofa with glue" episodes?!

What time is OBEM on!?

BornIn you ok?!

OP posts:
Squiffie · 24/02/2014 20:20

OBEM is channel 4 9pm!

I'm so bloody emotional today - crying at everything. Think I ought to sky+ obem rather than try to watch it tonight.

mummytobe88 · 24/02/2014 20:35

clearly I've had exactly the same feelings of late! Had it tonight just after I came out the shower after struggling to shave my legs haha it went really tight around the bottom and middle of my bump and it was rock hard!! Wasn't sore but was really uncomfortable. OH has now spent the evening rubbing my belly which seems to have helped Smile

sambababy · 24/02/2014 21:07

bush we're still looking into our options but have found a pro-natural birth institute here that could be an option. Fingers crossed!

mrsfoo I can't begin to explain how jealous I am about the fish n chips! Envy

clearly I also flitter between having energy and feeling like my DH slipped me some horse tranquilizer.

Minions · 24/02/2014 21:29

Oh dear, crying at OBEM - thinking you had the right idea squiffie! clearly I'm with you on the tiredness thing, on sat I saw a space on the floor and thought I'm sitting down right here, right now. Didn't make it to the sofa!

ClearlyMoo · 24/02/2014 21:39

Used to live in Brizzle! Turns out my ex neighbours are on OBEM and my old lodger is one of the staff!

OP posts:
MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 24/02/2014 21:49

I'm watching OBEM and it's making me really want to at least give it a go at a vaginal birth... need to have a chat with midwife and consultant I think.
