So sorry about your news Uni Thanks :(

topmammy · 29/01/2014 21:39

Has anyone else got a vein(s) clearly visible in the areola area of the nipple? I just noticed today on my left boob lol also noticed extra veins around my hips, any takers there too?!

V.happy for your scan news Bex :) My 12 week scan is on 19th Feb but it feels like an age away!

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow eeee!

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 06:53

Just catching up on yesterdays posts

uni I'm so sorry

topmammy my boobs have also become more veiny and the nipples dark, I'm fair skinned so they were always very light. I noticed last night that the tip of the nipple had gone white, Google has suggested that could be lack of circulation but nipple masage as started here, ah the things we do.

My friends bought me coco butter stretch mark lotion yesterday as its 'never to early' so shall start using that now too.

I'm 7 weeks today, felt a bit sick and burpy yesterday after both lunch and dinner, couldn't even finish my dinner which is unheard of for me!! Maybe morning sickness is starting to rear its ugly head

bugoven · 30/01/2014 07:25

We have Ofsted today at school. I am worse than useless with feeling sick and so tired I really hooe I can make it through til Friday when I am rewarded with a scan!

isitme1 · 30/01/2014 08:01

Just keep thinking of the scan bug.
Hopefully that might help you get through!

Topmammy ive had the veiny look too for a bit lol.

Arrgh im tired! Ds1 woke up last night a few times as the kid next to us woke up.
hes been.up since 5!!
Just waiting for drs to do rounds.

sebsmummy1 · 30/01/2014 08:23

24 hours till my scan.

I veer from feeling pretty calm about it and thinking if it's not good news then at least we are still in the very early stages and I can get back TTC. To feeling absolutely terrified about it and worried how I'm going to cope on my own if the news is bad.

I do have stingy nipples and wind lol, but nothing else really so if I didn't know I was pregnant I don't think I would suspect at all. In fact I don't even believe the tests anymore.

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 08:31

seb I'm the same, what's keeping me going is the thought that if we do hear bad news on Saturday then at least I'm home and not at work 2.5 hours away. DH will be with me on Saturday so that is also keeping me calm.

isitme hope your son gets better soon

Thank you rockin.
In himself hes fine. Just hungry and tired
hws not allowed any food as they dont know why je keeps bleeding.

These pregnancy nerves are horrible x

whiteblossom · 30/01/2014 09:19

Bex and Fairy glad your scans went well Smile

universalis, Im so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you x

whiteblossom · 30/01/2014 09:31

seb, good luck tomorrow x

I had my MW apt yesterday which went well, did blood and urine. I woke this morning suspecting another UTI, do you think yesterdays sample would pick this up?

However while I was at the apt, I was spotted by someone that works there. This person is a family member of someone I know at the school. I did ask the MW that she would have to keep just seeing me confidential and the MW confirmed she would (the only apt yesterday were for the MW so very obvious why I was there). I suspect she will tell but it depends if this mum/cow lets it out the bag but either way Id be beyond furious and its the one person I wouldn't want knowing- sods law!!

I was told my scan would be after 12 weeks as they do other tests at the same time, which means I will have to wait longer to tell people. Its getting impossible but DH is adamant that we keep it to ourselves until after the scan. arrgghh

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 10:51

oh I'm a blubbering mess!
I have been thinking about how to tell our families we are pregnant and started looking for ideas online, thinking I'll go with the idea of a helium balloon in a box that is attached to the ultrasound picture. so when the box is opened the balloon floats up and the picture should be at eye level when the balloon hits the ceiling.

just when to tell them???, I was thinking after the 12 week scan but now that i am getting a 7 week scan this Saturday I'm thinking of telling them early, maybe Valentines day?

isitme1 · 30/01/2014 11:08

Aww yhh that sounds really nice

sebsmummy1 · 30/01/2014 12:03

Rockin: I would say if you are going to do something like the balloon idea, do it after your 12 week scan as that method will initiate a lot of excitement. If however you just want to tell them for an extra hand to hold I would do it face to face after the 7 week with the caveat that it's still 'early days'.

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 12:58

there will be excitement anyway, the MIL is already making little comments about grandchildren.

to be honest i dont think this will get much of a reaction form my dad. I'm married and 28, bought our house 2 years ago etc so its the right time for us. but i think my dad thinks im going to have this huge carrier and not have kids for another 10 years.

Ill see after the scan how I'm feeling, i wont be telling them next weekend anyway!

BooSurprise · 30/01/2014 14:13

Really struggling to keep up here, congrats to the newbies and hugs to those that have had losses.
I've had my GP appt, which consisted of being given a whole load of bits of paper and some dietary advice. I had a run in with the beatch of a receptionist as the GP asked for me to have bloods done next week and she was making a massive fuss that they d

BooSurprise · 30/01/2014 14:17

Grrrr stupid phone! Don't need to be done until 10weeks, but GP asked for them next week. Got midwife booking appt at 11 or so weeks, same one I had with last baby which is good, and scan requested for 12-14 weeks, hope it's closer to 12.
Still fairly symptomless, but have been hit by the tired train!

charlieis30 · 30/01/2014 14:49

Has anyone had low white blood cell count? My bloods came back showing that my white cells were low, really stressed me out (even though Doc said it was fine, but would have to be monitored.

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 14:50

its probably too early to worry about these things, try to relax, do alittle googleing and see what comes up

OP posts:
kicksandgiggles · 30/01/2014 17:31

Marking my place as this has dropped off my list! Have been reading when possible, but finding it a bit difficult to keep up. I'm 8+2, and still feeling quite sick and tired. I think the worst of the exhaustion has passed, but unfortunately not the nausea.

Good luck to everyone with scans. I'm going to try to get another one at nine weeks as I'm still nervous (I should NOT have googled Vanishing Twin Syndrome).

BexBoo12 · 30/01/2014 17:33

Hi everyone, can I ask, I myself asked what I should expect to see on my scan at 8 weeks, google doesn't help me with things like that, they don't really seem real in a way. Anyway, would it be helpful if I post a picture of mine? Or is that weird??

sittingpretty25 · 30/01/2014 18:55

Had a scan today - they found a cyst on one of my ovaries which is why I get such bad pains but we saw a cute little baby with heartbeat drumming away on the screen - it was so clear and we even got a picture. Was amazing SmileSmileSmile

topmammy · 30/01/2014 18:56

rockin I have the white ish tip of nipple thing going on too... I thought it was just something to do with milk lol!

Bug feel sooo sorry for you having Ofsted. If I did right now with how I feel I think I would just cry lol. One more day till the weekend :)

Well my nausea is almost like clockwork now - at precisely half 11am I start to feel really sick and find it challenging to even talk, but it eventually eases off after eating dinner.

Argh a boy in my class just HAS to stop burping as it really does make me feel like wretching. I sent him out the room for doing it today, maybe a bit mean but it is gross not to mention rude. grumpy teacher face haha!

sebsmummy1 · 30/01/2014 19:36

Bad news from me I'm afraid. I've started bleeding, brown initially but starting to turn red. I feel ok about it, it's been on the cards really for a while now so in a way it will be easier if it just comes to an end.

I imagine the scan will confirm tomorrow xxx

rockin20s · 30/01/2014 19:56

seb im so sorry!!!
