ah just got a cancellation for my early scan for THIS SATURDAY, delighted! ill be 7w2d so should see the heartbeat! fingers crossed

And I've got my scan on Friday at midday. I will only just be 6 weeks, haven't been told anything re full bladder so do you think they will do it internally?

Oooh how exciting rockin20s. You definitely should see a heart beat. When I had my EPAU scan a week ago I was only 5 and a half weeks medically (although 6 weeks by my dates) and still got to see the heartbeat. So exciting!!! x

Yay to lots of scans - it's so exciting. Got mine on 4th Feb.
MS has gotten worse today, I haven't been sick, but just feel really icky and the last few days my appetite has waned (which I'm actually a little relieved about as before I was hank marvin and stuffing my face all day!!)

Really annoyed by a mum at our school. I'm involved in a programme at the school which involves a lot of time and energy and I've been struggling to keep up the last few weeks. So I told this mum who I've been working with in my team so that she would understand why I was stepping back a little (ie not dragging heavy tables around, running to the loo all the time etc). Anyway, she has told pretty much all the mums in our circle so everyone knows!! I haven't confronted her, don't see the point, but it's annoying.

Just want these 12 weeks over!! Even though I said this time around I would try to appreciate and enjoy every day of being pregnant, the first trimester is such a rollercoaster!!

Early scans they have to do internally sebsmummy1. It's a bit embarrassing but not uncomfortable. xx

Oh that's really annoying LH1981. I would definitely have a quiet word with her next time you see her and say you weren't happy that she told everyone. xx

sebsmummy, it's basically a giant dildo with a condom over it - yuck! Had one this time around already. Like Kitkat said, it doesn't hurt at all, just feel some pressure as they move it around.

Kitkat I know I should say something, but it won't make a difference really and probably just cause tension and we need to work together for the next month. It seems not many people can keep a secret these days!

I was told today that they'd do an external scan on me but if they couldn't see anything then they'd have to do internal, glad it wasn't the internal that I needed, my bladder was so full I was scared I'd wee myself if she did it that way lol. I drank over a litre and my bladder was toooo full she said,so just a word of warning when they say full bladders try not to drink more than a litre lol xx

How far in advance should i drink water and how much?

the website for where I'm going said to drink 1-2 pints about an hour before. from what i have heard they will try to do an external first (so need full bladder) but if they cant get a good picture then they will do a internal (empty bladder).

LH i would be so angry! i would probably say something along the lines of
"Please be aware that early pregnancy is a very difficult time and i didn't want everyone knowing, thats why i said it to you in private"

I have specifically not told a few people id like to tell as i know they would not keep it a secret! you would think being a mother herself she would know not to tell everyone!

You know you're pregnant when..... It's peeing down with rain and 5 degrees and you're eating an orange ice lolly!!!!!! Felt so rough earlier and calippos were one of my saviours last time when the ms was bad so had to get a six pack. I waited until I got back into the car to crack one open.... Aaaaah yes

Rockin it's really infuriating. I might say something, but had a meeting with her and a few other ladies this afternoon and didn't want to mention it in front of them so had to act normal, so may have missed my chance now. Also, I'm sort of in enough drama with the school already - got a meeting with the head tomorrow - as I feel their communication and general running needs to improve, so sort of all drama'd out!

By the way ive ordered a fab dress from Tesco direct its a denim dress with slight gathering under the bust so perfect for expanding belly, only £12. Ive actually bought it in two sizes so I can wear one post birth and it will look like Ive gone back to pre-pregnancy weight mahaaahaha

Really fancied sausage casserole but no way can I eat it now its in the oven. Just started feeling dreadful after an ok day. Nausea, shakes, Freezing cold and that horrible feeling at the back of my neck. Crackers and water 4 me :(

Pumpkin pasta here, was supposed to be veggie sausages and mash but knackered and really worried about scan tomorrow so missed my chance- it's too late to start doing mash now dd2 needs to be in bed in an hour.
