So sorry enormouse

MrsGSR · 18/01/2014 00:33

So sorry enormouse :(

I hope it all works out percy

Congrats Blue!

flyawayblue · 18/01/2014 00:59

Sorry enormouse

Congratulations blue I'm glad you are both safe and well, lovely name. Was she measuring big throughout?

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 18/01/2014 04:21

Congratulations Blue! Another lovely baby. This is all making me feel positive!!

Sorry Enormouse. Fingers crossed for your DH.

I've been up since 5.30, and managed to wake DD by accidentally banging the door at 6. So she's been serving me up tea and ice cream for breakfast from her dinner set. We have her friends birthday party in the park this morning which I swore I wouldn't be attending (sending her with DH) as I thought I'd have a newborn by now due to all the 'oh, she will definitely be early' predictions!

Angelesque · 18/01/2014 04:28

Oh enormouse, how stressful and upsetting for you. Fx baby hangs on till after the funeral. Bleugh.

Many congratulations Blue! Sorry it wasn't quite the birth you'd hoped for, but at nearly 11lb sounds like a section was for the best in the end!!! Hope you and baby are feeling well and you're enjoying cuddles xx

BuntCadger · 18/01/2014 08:23

congratulations Blue :) I love the name Sophia and what a bundle too at 11 lb! We've had a few bigger babies here haven't we.

enormouse Sad sorry to read your news.

still pregnant here, ctx all but gone and im at a loss as never gone over and feels very odd. We also adjust plans assuming baby would be here including rescheduling centre parcs as was meant to be there for 4 day break from 13th. dh is starting new job beginning of Feb and we timed paternity leave and then various appts and events too. I know baby will come when baby is ready but I'm sooo tired and really don't want interventions

enormouse · 18/01/2014 09:00

Thank you everyone. Dp is doing as well as can be expected. He's more concerned about the rest of his family and being there for his mum and aunty. We're just going to play it by ear and fit into whatever the family wants and I'll try and keep the baby in for the next few days.

blue congratulations. I love the name Sophia. She sounds like an adorable little chunk.

percy hope you, your DP and the hospitals can work something out.

Have been up for the past hour and have managed to get most tasks done round the house. Just need to finish my essay now and then we're going to see what we can do for the family.

Sorry to hear that, enormouse :(

Congratulations, blue!

Naturegirl82 · 18/01/2014 09:13

percy hope the hospital appointment goes ok and baby stays put for a while

MrsVDB · 18/01/2014 09:19

Wow blue 11lbs! What a whopper! I'm not sure what a normal length is tries to think back to the hundreds of clothes labels ive read when sorting clothes is that long? Lovely name too. 90 mins of pushing! Eek

MrsVDB · 18/01/2014 09:25

Sorry to hear that enormouse and nature and percy

So after getting up average of about 5 times a night To wee slept through last night from 11-6 then went for a wee when dh got up now slept again until 9. Not that I'm complaining but it's making me worry. Also had awful acid reflux yesterday and when dr checked heartbeat she couldn't find it in usual low place and it was half way between top of bump and belly button. Also getting movement on right side of bump which I haven't had for weeks. He was 3/5 engaged at previous appointment. Do you think he's moved?? I'm worried he's breech now (unlikely I know) or at least un engaged

Mythreeknights · 18/01/2014 12:02

Hi all, congrats blue on the safe arrival of Sophia! Well after having an emotional melt down on dh last night, BHs kicked off at midnight growing to full on contractions by 3.30am. Managed to sleep in between but they got so 'loud' I was starting to cry out by 7am...and then if course, it all stopped. Completely shattered now but hopeful things will kick off again tonight and really go for it this time. I had also been sent some acupuncture needles from a friend so will put those into my toes and see if that helps. Fwiw dh gave me a really good foot massage last night, and I wonder whether that started all the BHs.

BuntCadger · 18/01/2014 12:10

mythree - you sound like me. I'm shattered now and all stopped x

Mythreeknights · 18/01/2014 12:19

It's so frustrating isn't it but this is exactly how labour with ds2 kicked off so am hopeful this is the start now. I am now so emotional on top of being physically sore. Not fun. Good luck bunt

AnotherStitchInTime · 18/01/2014 12:38

enormouse so sorry to hear about your DP's uncle and hope you are able to hold out until the funeral x

blue well done you, 11lbs my goodness! Hope your recovery is a quick one Thanks

percy I hope the specialists can put your DH's mind at rest, I am sure that it will all work out ok

mythree maybe your body knows it needs to rest a bit before you labour, get some rest today and hopefully it will all kick off again later.

Having a relaxing day, my mum is visiting so the kids can clamber all over her for a bit.

Mythreeknights · 18/01/2014 13:38

Just had my show!!!!!!! Hurrah hurrah (I put the acupuncture needles in at noon and I don't know if that has had anything to do with it)

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 18/01/2014 14:12

percy - I've had a couple if corneal ulcers. Fortunately both resolved. I wasn't admitted so fingers crossed DH will be OK. What I would say is that sleep and the medication really resolved them fairly quickly. Therefore, the more sleep DH can have, the better.

three - how exciting!

humpty - keep going! Yiu can do this.

blue - congratulations!

toby - hope all going well!

enormous - sorry to hear your news Flowers

After all my moaning in various other threads in Chat, we had a little girl on Thursday at 5:03 - called Eva. I went into labour at about 9:00am on Thursday morning (thought it was trapped wind!) and everything happened pretty quickly. Went into hospital at about 1:30 and the midwife broke my waters. I went from 6com to 10cm in about 10 minutes so that was quite scary. I've been very lucky and had no tears or stitches etc but one hideous pile so hoping very much it resolves itself

MrsVDB · 18/01/2014 14:57

Congratulations gobbo that does sound pretty scary

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 18/01/2014 15:01

'twas mrs - particularly as I was reckoning on dilation at about 1cms per hour and 90 mins of pushing!

However, on reflection, I know I was very lucky as only had about 10 mins of pushing. However, it makes up for DS' 36 hour labour extravaganza!

bunt - hope you're doing OK

littleraysofsunshine · 18/01/2014 15:10

Keep going ladies!

Congratulations with new bundles.Smile

I never had a show with my two, so not sure what to expect. It all happened in active labour I think so never had such warnings...

Braxton hicks are constant, tight++ but I wouldn't say painful. I have my 39 week check Monday so will maybe ask for a sweep, or if I've dilated anything with these tightenings. What do you think??

fryingpantoface · 18/01/2014 15:45

Congratulations on the birth of Sophia and Eva!

Percy - good luck!

I've been really good after having Henry, but today i just feel like I've crashed. I feel so tired it's unreal. Dh put Henry down to sleep last night and he didn't wake until 4, which was lovely! So i got up with the kids at 7. Dh got up at 11, made me brunch, and then i went to bed and I've just woken up.
I'm still shattered

Percypiglet · 18/01/2014 15:52

Sorry to hear your news Enormouse, hope baby stays put for a while yet so you can attend the funeral.

Congrats to all with new babies (my memory is failing and cant remember who....but know they were little girlies). enjoy the cuddles.

We are also hoping for the baby to be a few days late now (EDD today), certainly after 4pm on Monday as after spending the whole morning at the hospital re DH's eye he has got to go back to hospital on Monday pm for review for his eye. He didn't get admitted and is now taking antibiotics for his ulcer which will hopefully heal well. I will share the advice re sleeping a lot with him and hope this will help too...thanks.

We've got to put eye drops in his eye every hour for 48 hours (all thro night) so will be good practice for getting up for when the baby comes I guess!

Hope all who are having contractions, carry on with no stop/starting and babies arrive soon.

Space, hope you are feeling okay on your EDD today. x

Frizz1986 · 18/01/2014 16:09

Congrats gobbo Thats great that it was fast and with no stitches or anything. Fab!

percy hope all goes ok with dh and that its all sorted before labour

frying i know what you mean. I have days where i am just beyond tired and others when i am rocking it. Cant believe you got to sleep until 4am!

Yay mythree Hope things really start up soon for you.

Well last night I woke dh at 4am to help with aurelia as she hadnt settled for more than 10min intervals so i was sat awake with her and as its the weekend i feel we should share the night shifts. He wasnt best pleased so i got a bit arsey with him as i dont think he gets that I go through it every night and its tough.
Got my car interior valeted today as selling tomorrow. Hoping i can get a decent price as i know we buy any car knock off money for every little thing.
So aurelia has started to make sucking noises while feeding. I am latching her the same as before (it can be tough as she is very handsy and always sticks them in her mouth instead of my boob) but am not sure if this is a bad thing as she has just started to make the noises. My nipples arent sore, and she seems to feed ok but i think its making her gassy cue grizzly baby.
Any help? Also help with the handsyness would be great.

BuntCadger · 18/01/2014 17:53

Been up dau for scan and check. baby is doing great thank goodness tho a little porker! I'm not surprised tho as mine have been good sizes. my fluid is low side of normal 8 cm and I may be leaking so in for another scan on Monday. she performed a stretch and sweep. she was really lovely and glad it'll be her again Monday. same midwife I saw with my other 3 in dau.

sending labour vibes to all who need and sleep vibes too xx
