Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Firstimemum3 · 15/01/2014 17:03

mummyinpink doctor today just said they'll pass my details on to midwife and they'll ring me. So no don't have date for scan yet. Was bit disappointed. Did you ring midwife? X

CumbrianExile · 15/01/2014 17:49

Choccy, I am so sorry to hear you news.

The doctors visit sounds promising. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean soon.

Jemma2907 · 15/01/2014 17:49

Wow Choccy, that's a big old list. Hopefully they'll be able to find a cause and solution soon for you!

I booked in for my 2nd scan today (the EPU wouldn't do one until I was 8 weeks so I paid for a private one at 5 weeks 5 days). It's not until next Thursday which seems so far away. Not sure how I'd have coped if I'd have had to wait until the 12/13 mark!

I don't seem to feel any of the nausea anymore so constantly paranoid that there's something wrong.

ThisIsMeNow · 15/01/2014 18:56

Well my symptoms are kicking in. Feel happy because it (hopefully) means all's going well but sad because I know how hard it was with dd and this is just the start!
Breathless, sore nipples and boobs, nausea, headaches and bad skin.
I'm so tired it's making everything really hard. Had a walk into town earlier and nearly had to call dp to collect us I was that worn out.
My nausea is an all day thing too which I'd forgotten what it really felt like but I'm starting to remember now!

On a positive note, I've been sticking to eating healthier and have already lost a few pounds. My jeans were much comfier today. Figure if I can be really good I might lose a few before 12 weeks when it needs to start going back on but just baby weight this time not chocolate and cake Smile

sjs152 · 15/01/2014 19:24

Hello! Can I join in? I had a BFP last night and it is taking some time to sink in! I think I must be due about 17th September, this is my second child (my little boy is 5 now though so it all feels a bit new again!) Since I found out last night I have spent all day feeling tired and sicky - felt ok yesterday before I knew! Smile

waffles1990 · 15/01/2014 19:26

Choccy I'm really sorry to hear that. If you google 'lab tests online' you will find an explanation of all the bloods on there. Basically checking your overall health - iron levels, liver/kidney function, glucose levels, clotting factors in your blood. Fingers crossed you get answers and a sticky bean soon.

Thanks to everyone that wished me well for the interview today - by some miracle, iv felt ok in the morning sickness area today, managed to go along and... I got the job!!!!!

As of the end of march I will be working on the neonatal unit at Liverpool women's hospital :)

So I'll still be at Manc for the booking visits for anyone coming to St Mary's!

broodylicious · 15/01/2014 19:29

choccy totally gutted for you, hun. I really hope your blood tests find a solution soon and you have some peace of mind. Sending lots of love and hugs xxxxxxxx ThanksThanksThanks

Choccy I'm so very sorry about your news and I hope you get some answers soon Thanks

Welcome and congratulations to the newbies!! SmileSmileSmile

I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, and I'm wondering what she will do about my scan? Waffles, you may be able to help...because there's some uncertainty about my dates, will she just refer me for a scan and I will get a letter, or will she try and sort my appointment there and then over the phone? I have a friend who had her early dating scan arranged over the phone on her booking in appointment so I'm keeping my fx that she does Grin

Beccus · 15/01/2014 20:15
