Hereshoping- could the discrepancies in dates be because of af/ov? Gps date from first day of last period rather than ov, could that be it?

Welcome to new ladies! Grin

TMI alert
When I was pg with dd, my poos had this really weird smell (told you it was tmi! BlushGrin) and I smelt it again today for the first time since dd was born. Was disgusting but good as made me feel pregnant!
My mum came to visit today and I could have sworn she was trying to get me to tell her, obviously pregnancy paranoia has kicked in! Told them straight away last time so not saying anything this Time is killing me!

Sorry I replied on wrong thread :-(

Copied and pasted my comment for hereshoping below x

Welcome hereshoping xx

Ok, I had period like pains for about a week and a half after my bfp - was on constant knicker watch feeling like I was going to come on at any minute. It's all stopped now and I'm 6 weeks on Sunday.

Scan wise, I haven't had a scan yet but have done a lot of research on good old t'interweb, and apparently at 5 weeks there is a heartbeat but that can't be heard on a scan at 5 weeks, I think they just look at the size of the sac etc to see if everything is growing as it should. A heartbeat is generally heard about 8 weeks but it can be heard as early as 7 so if you are 7, you could potentially hear it but try not to worry if you don't. Again, not much to see but at 7 weeks everything is just a bit bigger and it's starting to shape like a little alien bean instead of just a mini blob xx

HiKitkat1985,
I've had the same thing...supposedly it's because of bloating. I thought it was Xmas weight before I knew I was pregnant so I'm sticking with bloating!:-)

The aspirin thins blood so theres no clots block placenta so baby bean gets all relevant things and all if that makes sense. Im sure the midwife will come and correct me if im wrong Grin

Hi, thanks. Yeah..it was from first day of period. I guess I'm getting confused because when the internet says "6 weeks" does it mean 4 weeks...I'm keen to see what it looks like at this stage so don't know if I should be looking at week4 pics or week6 pics. Gah. Who would have thought there was so much to think about!:-)

Thanks isitme..I guess I'm worried what will happen between now and the scan if it turns out I do need to be taking aspirin and what if taking aspirin earlier could avoid a miscarriage. I guess I just have to wait and see. Thanks for your advice!:-) x

Here's hoping you work out your weeks from the first day of your last period. For example, if you came on your last period on the 1st of dec you would be 6 weeks pregnant on Sunday. You don't work it out from conception hun, for some strange reason you count almost 2 weeks before that is classed as your period. Am I making sense? What date did you come on your last period? Xx

Choccy I had to come off the conception busses I was poas so often! BlushBlush It was sending me loopy. So this month I waited until af was due and peed. Quite refreshing but of course I'm wondering how early I'd have got a Bfp if I'd tested like I normally did?! Massive crossed fingers for sticky bean this weekend!

evening all,

Ive only told DH and my nana. I don't want to say anything until Im 12 weeks. At which point it will be ds bday and I'd like him to tell my family while DH films their reaction- they will be shocked Grin I love the t-shirt idea, so on the front Im going to be.... turn round, a big brother!

Welcome to all the newbys, we are filling up fast! Smile does that worry anyone else that the labour ward will be jam packed? Confused

Stats, 35
ttc 1st cycle (again)
up north...Grin

Ive been struggling with my jeans for at a week now. All my clothes are slim fitting/tapered etc So every morning I look in my wardrobe and grown, why don't I own anything loose fitting?! The best item I have is a long waterfall fronted cardy. So I had to buy some maternity jegging but I don't dare wear them incase I jinx it....weird I know.

I met a friend for coffee this morning and she knew before xmas we were trying and I could feel her trying to sus out if I might be pregnant- I played it cool Grin I think I pulled it off.

Hereshoping I've been taking baby aspirin since cd3. My last 2 months ended in chems so I was willing to try anything!! I think usually it's only recommended for those who have had previous multiple mc, and a lot of women don't start taking it until bfp so if you are prescribed it, don't worry that it's too late.

Okay reposting!
Why have we moved (not that I mind, I am just nosy hehe!)
"Congrats CumbrianExile!
Is anybody else getting nausea?
OMG today has been awful, just doesn't seem to be going away. Hubby made me lovely fresh soup which he took a long time to make and I was sick everywhere sad
I just feel like I am on a boat with really bad motion sickness... and to make it worse I had to get up 3 times in the middle of the night to have the tiniest wee grrrr!
I don't mind the sleepiness but the vomitting if anyone has any tips to make it go away would happily welcome them!"
Also Kitkat yes, bloating, lazy digestion because of progesterone slowing it down, possible constipation (I get it bad the mo and I never do normally!), water retention.... little one is tiny but hormons are going maaad!
