First timer here...I've decided I will tentatively join in, in determination that this pregnancy will be normal!

I am pregnant again after experiencing a very early miscarriage dec 2011 however this was only a week after my father suddenly passed away so wasn't overly surprised as the stress and trauma made sense at the time. I fell pregnant the next cycle and suffered a mmc which I found out at my 12 week scan. I then contracted Ashermans syndrome which left us unable to conceive for the last 20months but three operations later they think its cleared and I have tested positive on the 4th of this month!

We had a scan yesterday (5 weeks 3 days) and they saw a gestation sac and a yolk sac but no baby yet but they said it was still very early so I have another scan on the 28th which will hopefully show the heartbeat. My EDD according to lmp is 13th Sep

Feel like I'm going mad on symptom watch, and just sheer terror that something is going to go wrong. My hubby now sits with me every night to find out what I've been googling in order to keep up to date with my nuttiness level

congrats! great that you got an early scan,

I am tempted to get one just to put the mind at rest. keep expecting to start spotting, i have been during IC test every morning since the 4th. tomorrow i will be 5 weeks! i think i will try to hold off getting a scan til 7 weeks so i can see a heartbeat!

I am feeling every so slightly nauseous today, but I could be looking for symptoms too. its not stopping me from eating anyway. there was a chocolate cake in the canteen and I salivated so quickly I nearly drool looking at it (just managed to close my mouth in time)

choccy don't give up hope, yrs ago I was in the same situation and frankly despairing. Push them to now investigate, they started investigating me after the 4th mc, had bloods, scans and a hysteroscopy(if they offer you that, make sure they offer it under GA, they did it to me under local hurt so much) in my case no reason was ever found and I actually fell pregnant with dc1 the month following the hysteroscopy.
Ive never had problems since but at the time it was devastating.

Welcome to cavamonster and all the other newbies on here thismorning I wish i got to have an early scan, they always make me wait until 12 weeks! mines on the 24th of Feb which seems like years away.

so the sore nipples have checked in over here...hubby is not impressed i jump out of my skin everytime he attempts to go anywhere near them lol. but i think he likes that my body is having symptoms to reassure him that i actually am pregnant despite him making me do about 5 tests since i told him!

Round ligament pain is driving me nuts still, keep jumping with pain at work when i laugh or move too sudenly and sooner or later someone is gonna ask what is wrong with me. lol. Cant believe ive dodged the weekly comments about being pregnant at work so far - were all women in the office and we jokingly made a 'baby rota' last year - its not my turn yet, so ive jumped the queue by 2 places. unless ofcourse one of the other girls is pregnant too but is waiting for 12 wk mark like me...

ps my EDD predicted by myself is 14/09

Thanks rockin. I read it last month, but not the success story. The 2 babies has just made me start crying again. It's such a long road this ttc stuff and have recurrent chems was not in my plan.
Every month is another month ds will be older, and the gap is getting bigger too.
It's just so unfair when you've got druggies out there getting pg at the drop of a hat, giving babies away as they're not wanted (I know this in rl through someone who has adopted 3 children from the same druggy mum)

i know it seems totally unfair and i feel bad for having 2 suprise pregnancies when i was younger because of how some people struggle so much to conceive. But i believe whats ment to be and that gets me through a lot of things. Hope you get to the bottom of it Choccy or better still that you get your happy ending sooner than you think. hugs.

im so sorry i didnt mean to upset you, it was more for the list of tests etc and too see what worked for her. i cant even imagine how you are feeling right now!!

So sorry choccy

Am new to this in general and very nervous about it all. We were ttc for 18 months and I'm only 6+2. Whilst I feel shattered all the time I can't quite believe that it's not a virus or something.

I know what cavamonster means about symptom watching. I can't believe how much I want to be sick just because someone told me that was a good sign. Not certain that the flood of hormones is going to make me any more reasonable...

know what you mean CordeliaScott, im not usually a worrier but got do i want the first 12 weeks to pass - having conceived the first month after having coil out its made me worry about ectopic or mc so every single pain im analysing atm.

I feel like shit today, stomach ache and sooo tired. just feel groggy and want my sofa and ipad but its a long way of yet....

could really do with a nap today! im so glad i have dinner ready at home and i only have to re-heat it!! straight to bed after that i think!

i have noticed that i am getting shortness of breath just walking up the stairs too. The loo is downstairs in work so i use the stairs very frequently at the moment.

anyone else getting shortness of breath? (5weeks tomorrow woohoo)

this thread is getting so long its jamming up my computer trying to load it lol. panic everytime i do incase my boss walks round and sees whats jammed on my pc! haha

Yes iv had shortness of breath but i was never the fittest person going anyway so im not suprised..once i finish work at 5 i have to go pick the kids up and do tea, dress them for bed and bedtime reading before i get to die on the sofa...yawn...and then run up and down the stairs about ten times before they actually give in and go to sleep!

Been to doctors this morning and they worked out I'm 5 weeks and EDD is 14th sept. Still not been sick or felt sick much, but took my lab for an hour walk and felt like i'd done 5 hours lol. Doctors said midwife will ring me and that was about it, that normal? They didn't take my blood pressure or anything. X

Firstimemum3 thats my EDD too - havent seen the midwife yet but going from LMP thats what ive worked it out as...

mummyinpink that's how my doctor did my EDD from first day of last period. When you seeing midwife do you know? I feel like time is going so slow, cause I want the first scan to hurry up so bad!!! I did 4 positive tests but still just doesn't feel real, need to have scan to make it feel real I think lol :)

Had my doctor app today. Got a due date of 16th Sept. He took my height, weight and blood pressure. Gave me a flu jab too! Now have my midwifes app on the 30th.

I am the same as others on here I want my first scan done so I can believe I am growing a baby! I had 4 negative tests before I got my BFP which is making me nervous but I feel the same now as I did when I was pregnant with DS so that's reassuring me a bit

do you have a date for your first scan yet? mine is 24th of Feb and im hoping theyl tell me im at least 11 weeks if my LMP was right - because of having the coil out at the end of november i wasnt sure if the 2/3 very light bleed i had on those days was my actual AF but thats all i have to go by until the scan so.

I have that too rockin, it's driving me nuts! Every time I even slightly exert myself I feel knackered and sick

Glad to hear Im not the only one getting breathless.

Im exhausted today, feel like failing asleep at my desk, Im very grateful my dinner is already made I just need to heat it up. getting small cramps and twinges again in the last hour, have had to made extra trips to the loo so I can walk around and stretch (desk job).

Rockin no YOU didn't upset me, the babies did. Ive come off Facebook too as everyone it seems is either pg or having babies and it's doing my tits in. No offence to all you lot of course!

So, I've just been to the dr, and she was absolutely lovely.

Before I even got a word out I broke down into tears and she held my hand.
I explained that I'd had 3 early mcs in 3 months and she has sent me for blood tests tomorrow morning, results hopefully back by tomorrow afternoon/early Friday.

Also said to attend scan Friday even if I'm still bleeding.

My tests are now negative, so I know the 'baby' has gone.
The bloods are (on the form)
haematology:Fbc and esr.

clotting screen.
biochemistry: u&e, lft, gamma gt, bone profile, glucose, hba,c.
Thyroid.
Cholesterol.
Immunology:crp.

Other:lupus, Ana, antiphosphohpid.
If anyone knows what they are, feel free to shed light.
She said they'll do a progesterone test at 21 days. They're going to let the bloods come back first and see if there's any problem, if not I'll be referred to a specialist.

I asked her about my uterine lining and she said that would be a talk to the specialist thing, also asked about me taking baby aspirin and she said to keep taking it.
Also showed her that website Rockin and what the lady had been prescribed to get her babies, and she said again to talk to the specialist.

Hope everyone else has had a better day than me. I'm so glad I have ds here to cuddle up to
