Im so sorry choccy, i posted without reading the last page of posts.

Massive hand holding for you xxxxxx

Purple37 · 14/01/2014 14:44

Choccy I am in exactly the same position as you, am 5 weeks today and have been spotting since last Thursday, only enough to streak a panty liner, only when I wipe.. No cramps or anything. Gp said to rest til I can have a scan at 6 weeks so I am stuck in limbo. It has pretty much stopped since Sunday but its still really worrying especially as I had a mmc in July.
Have you spoken to doc?

ThisIsMeNow · 14/01/2014 14:50

Welcome sebsmummy!

Choccy I would call them and if not then gp. With the last couple of months they're bound to help surely?

Choccywoccydodah · 14/01/2014 14:52

I've just spoken to them again and they said they will do an internal scan this Friday at 9.40. She was extremely sympathetic and totally understood why I wanted to go in so early. She said they wouldn't see much but would see if there's a yolk and sac. Am really hoping I don't get anything else.

ThisIsMeNow · 14/01/2014 15:08

Oh good! Keep us updated as take care of yourself. Thanks

Metalhead · 14/01/2014 15:18

Glad you're being seen Choccy, even though I'm sure the next three days will be very hard. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you that everything will be ok.

waffles1990 · 14/01/2014 15:56

Choccy glad to hear they will see you, FX

isitme1 · 14/01/2014 15:59

ThisIsMeNow · 14/01/2014 16:24

Isit, don't leave it more than a day or two as you don't want to feel ill over the weekend!

Mummyinpink1289 · 14/01/2014 16:26

glad they arranged to let you have an early scan Choccywoccydodah, at least it will put your mind at rest, thinking of you. im sure as someone else said that its probably just to do with implantation.

Just booked in my scan date for 24th Feb :-) how i will get through the next 5 weeks i dont know! well DS1 is 6 next week so that will pass a few weeks of planning his party etc. then i have a training course at work in feb so hopefully it will fly by... she says! Hmm

Welcome and congrats sebsmummy1 Grin Weird isnt it, dont think its still sunk in for me - wont until i see baby on the scan either i dont think. then i think i will be so emotional ill probably burst into tears on the bed thingy you lie on! ha. so strange thinking i am going to have 3 children. im so used to just having the 2 of them it doesnt seem real that in a few years time there will be 3 of the little monkeys all testing my patience together! Smile

Hubbythecatandme · 14/01/2014 17:15

Sending you a big hug choccy
Anybody else feeling like an emotional rollercoaster?
Crying my eyes out at GP yesterday, today I have felt mostly flat and not motivated to do anything.
It's like I never know what emotion I am going to be feel next and it's draining :s

SantaBaby01 · 14/01/2014 17:23

Hi everyone, this is my first post so sorry in advance if I make any newbie mistakes!

I went to the docs yesterday complaining about some weird UTI symptoms and no obvious cause, and was told it might be a sign of PG as I was 'late' so I took 2 tests - both came out very definitely +ve! First pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect!

I've got a Doctors appointment next week (not sure what for tbh but I booked it as the receptionist told me I needed to, and the NHS website said I needed to call my GP!). Apparently I'm 4 weeks (which is confusing as I conceived Xmas Day/Boxing Day, which is not even 3 weeks ago - no?).

Can anyone please just let me know if I'm supposed to do anything else at the moment or do I just try and let it sink in that I got an extra, slightly unexpected (not unwanted) Christmas present (and take some time to figure out how best to tell the husband who's working away all week - Eek!)?

Sorry for the mega long post, everyone else seems so much more clued up on this than me and I'm a little bit freaked out!

Big hugs to choccy too

Firstimemum3 · 14/01/2014 17:24

Hope everything's ok choccywoccy. Fingers crossed for you.
I've got doctors tomorrow morning just to let them know I'm pregnant. Will they do or say much, all new to this and don't really know what to suspect. Feel shattered today, and did a perm at work and the smell smelt even stronger and gross lol!!!

Hubbythecatandme · 14/01/2014 17:24

Thanks very much topmammy! Went to the gym last night and watching calories (1800 a day) again because I don't want complications for poor baba!

Firstimemum3 · 14/01/2014 17:27

Santababy I'm glad I'm not the only one, I just posted before you asking what happens at doctors lol. Congratulations, I conceived 22nd dec I think :)

Hubbythecatandme · 14/01/2014 17:34

thisismenow ewww to public toilet poor you, think I would gag if I had to go lol. I am funny when it comes to germs especially ramps in buses and toilets, have to wash my hands for ages afterwards! My friend needed to wee so often when was expecting lo she even had to go to one of the portable ones at a gig poor thing!
boo yes I am watching my weight whilst pregnant. Just exercising and counting calories (1800 a day).
firstime yup, like so many of you weeing all the time here too. Had to get up 4 times last night and every time I came back I felt really thirsty so had to drink again grrr!!! Is it me or do kidneys feel a bit funny once you've been? Not sore but you can "feel" them if that makes sense?

SantaBaby01 · 14/01/2014 17:38

Thank goodness there's 2 of us with no idea in here then Firsttime!

Hopefully we've come to the right place - everyone else in here seems pretty savvy!

Congratulations to you too! Smile

Fairypants · 14/01/2014 17:39

I'm keeping my fingers x choccy, it's not fair for you to have this worry with your history.
Welcome Santa. The only things to do at this point are to start taking a pregnancy supplement or at least folic acid and look up the no-nos like alcohol, caffeine, pâté etc. there are loads so check on the Nhs website for the list. The first trimester is a bit of a waiting game so leave worrying about the midwives and scans til your next dr appt. oh and don't worry about the date thing, they date from first day of last period.
Drs appts are different depending on the area. Where I live, they don't want to see you unless there is a problem, you just go straight to the midwife but I would expect them to maybe give some info and refer to hospital or midwife for checks.
The tiredness hit me today so I'm feeling happier about things- I feel a bit more pregnant iyswimGrin

Hubbythecatandme · 14/01/2014 17:40

firstimemum I was overwhelmed and cried at GPs lol. I hope you are not overweight with BM over 30 because if so, like me, you will likely hear things you don't particularly like to hear! If you are healthy, I am sure it will go well. GP will just take blood pressure, look at health history, your weight, tell you your EDD, give you a pregnancy magazine with freebies (I got that, it's called Emma's Diary and gives you reductions and free pregnancy packs from Boots and Johnson I think).

Choccywoccydodah · 14/01/2014 17:42

Well no more spotting as such, but some watery brown pink just inside iykwim?
I guess I'll know tomorrow if it's going to turn into anything.

Santa welcome!! Your dates go from you 1st day of your last af, you're normally on average 2 weeks more pregnant than when you actually got pregnant if that makes sense?? So if you have a 28 day cycle and ovulated at day 14, they still count those previous 14 days even though you weren't actually pregnant. Confused? Wink

SantaBaby01 · 14/01/2014 17:51

Ha! Well if I felt clueless before choccy Smile I think I've got it now, thanks!
Thanks fairypants I feel bad about the caffeine - I've been addicted to coffee since I went back to work after Xmas... oops!
Thank you ladies for being so gentle with the novice - just had to look up AF - Oh dear! Blush

Hubbythecatandme · 14/01/2014 17:54

santababy that's why this forum is great! You learn so much by asking other people :)

sebsmummy1 · 14/01/2014 17:56

Congratulation Santa, that's lovely news. How do you plan on telling your OH?

Well this is going to be no. 2 for me and I'm planning the home birth (assuming pregnancy is problem free) that I wasn't allowed to have with my first. Everything is out in the garage just longing to be put up and used.

twinkbat · 14/01/2014 18:06

Officially out. Hcg has dropped to 27. No bleeding yet but any when. Good luck everyone x

SantaBaby01 · 14/01/2014 18:08

Wow sebsmummy! that sounds pretty hardcore - good for you! Smile

OK, well I'm planning on going to see him this weekend (he's working away all weekend and next week too - contractor) and I need to take my brother's xmas present with me as it got delayed etc and I was going to tell him I'd found a little Father Christmas present behind it (ahem, family tradition of mine, he's 32!) for him that I'd forgotten about. Then he can open it, and maybe it's booties or something? Does that sound awful?
