waybuloony I have the same thing, especially when I'm hungry. Doesn't help that I'm craving lemonade. DearDinah I have been like that all day so forced a baked potato down and could now eat anything. Really fancy a kfc!

ExquisiteChristmasCakes · 11/01/2014 21:32

I just can't stop. I feel nausea if I'm not eating. My mother dropped over some dried fruit today so I've had some. I had HG with both previous babies within the last 3 years, so I am praying it doesn't make a return!

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 21:35

DearDinah is this food aversion or grumpy other half not making you want to eat?

Was at Tesco extra tonight and all I could smell was the cat litter & cat food's aisle, the plug in smelly things and some food cooking somewhere, probably from their bakery. YUCK!

DearDinah · 11/01/2014 21:52

hubby possibly food aversion, nothing sounds tasty to me, but I know I'm going to be starving by bedtime, just had a few slices of soreen. Jeepers, I've really done my own head in today, I've been happy, sad, angry, burst into years, had a tantrum then laughed my head off at the tv. Weirdo!

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 22:08

dinah actually a lot of things don't sound appealing to me. A lot of my favourite food, including the box of dairy milk choccies downstairs make me feel sick when I think of them :S
I seem to want carbs and things that are salty, vinegary or citrusy.... can't believe I ate tinned chopped tomatoes the other day, normally used to make spag bol sauce!

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 22:10

exquisite same here, last night at 2am I had to have crackers because my tummy was getting empty and I started to feel seriously "seasick" again. I think as long as I don't eat lots but ensure my tummy doesn't get too empty I am okay. My friend had HG, sounded absolutely awful. She ended up having to go to hospital to have a drip put on :s

KitKat1985 · 11/01/2014 22:13

Ugh. Vomited for the first time today, after days of nausea. Definitely worse in the morning for me. Usually feel a bit better by 2-3pm-ish. However crap shift at work dealing with lots of issues and general chaos, and didn't get a chance to eat dinner until getting home half an hour ago (21.45). Now have to go to bed so can get up in morning for a 5.30am start to complete a 14 hour shift. Am so tired. :(

Sorry, for the self-indulgent post. I know a lot of you ladies all feel like crap at the moment too.

DearDinah · 11/01/2014 22:17

kitkat that's sounds hard! Feel for you love, what is it you do? Will you get a break on Monday? Think a duvet day is on the cards for you?

topmammy · 11/01/2014 22:19

Dear Dinah, I am struggling to find much food appealing either if I'm feeling sick. But seem to feel better after forcing myself to eat something, usually chicken dippers these days lol!

I have given lots of the boxes of choc I got for Xmas to a homeless charity today to stop me eating the calories and like you Hubby I don't really want to eat choc! I'm finding sharp tasting things are quite nice like orange juice, oranges, jaffa cakes, (ok these do have a bit of choc on but not too much), salt &vinegar crisps, salad cream and I really like this creamy lemon and parsley sauce for fish that I get from Tesco. So quite similar to you Hubby how funny!

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 22:21

Kitkat, I have NO IDEA how you are managing!
My poor online business is being neglected because of me being either puky or asleep. I dispatch the orders but haven't got the energy to list new stock! So how on earth you manage such long shifts is well beyond me. You can be REALLY proud of yourself girl. I couldn't do it :s

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 22:24

Yes topmammy definitely similar!!!! I crunched into a lemon the other day and it seemed the best thing ever :s My poor teeth are probably delighted with acidity (NOT!).
You've said the word orange, I must go and drink some of my ruby breakfast ? ? ?

Hubbythecatandme · 11/01/2014 22:25

Yuck, don't say the word chocolate, the thought almost makes me gag, even worse, thinking of the mocha coffee I used to drink every day EWWWWW :S

Metalhead · 11/01/2014 22:52

To all of the first-timers worried about not loving your babies at first sight: not everyone gets that much-quoted rush of love, but it doesn't mean you're not going to be a good mum or not love your child ever! I felt absolutely nothing when I first held my DD, and to be honest it took me a good few months to really feel that love, but I got there eventually.

CumbrianExile · 11/01/2014 23:36

Ha, I am the opposite, can't get enough chocolate. Seem to be addicted to Minieggs!

Hubbythecatandme · 12/01/2014 00:25

Ewww mini eggs and chocolate lol :s. I would share my carton of ruby breakfast you know cumbrianexile just, please don't mention chocolate ewww hehehe!
metalhead it is so reassuring to hear!!!
I have had a fun evening typing "fisher price" and looking at toys etc near me on ebay lol. Very sad. Saw friend of friend post a picture of baby on facebook and my reaction was "Ouch! OMG how am I going to deliver a baby out of my bits :s OMG it's going to be awful and hurt and how am I going to cope :s".... yup, let's just say we're not there yet :s

Hubbythecatandme · 12/01/2014 00:27

Also caught myself thinking "sh*t, am due 2nd of september meaning I am going to be one of the first on the anteclub to have to do it... OMG I don't want to go first ... how painful and horrible is this going to be? :s
I am feeling like the day we had to perform a gym routine in front of the whole class in year 7, needless to say I was absolutely useless...

waffles1990 · 12/01/2014 00:42

Hahaha Hubby I love the gym routine comparison!!! that's brill lol.

OH just made himself a cheese toastie, today iv tolerated nothing but wotsits, quavers and pickled onion monster munch. But then I had a bite of his toastie and actually enjoyed it. So I ate it all. This is the only occasion I'd get away with that!!!

Then I informed him the baby wanted some orange juice and he got it for me. So there are some perks!!

hereshoping2014 · 12/01/2014 00:48

Hi All. I'm feeling rather queasy too..ranges from feelingsick and having to concentrate and swallow lots to make it go away, to a kind of empty feeling in tummy like I haven't eaten even tho I have! Thanks hubby for asking after me!So far, with all fingers xd, no blood and boobs very sore again. I'm hoping I can get used to the ebb and flow of symptoms and it all ends up fine with a healthy baby at the end!x

Newlywed2013 · 12/01/2014 01:22

Eughhhhhh nausea! All I have managed today is a ginger nut biscuit which took 20mins to eat and the tiniest bowl of pasta! Feel like I will vomit if I eat. Had some bits to drink, but not enough! Hoping I will be ok tomorrow as I will be at work and unable to think of it! However I have been put on waiting tomorrow so food!!! Brilliant!
Got my toy bunny out which I got the day I was born! Always makes me feel better! I'm sure it will be permanently in the bed for a while now!

Had a quick scan through posts! I can't wait to have baby in my arms! I worry about PND though :-(

thanks waffles

BooSurprise · 12/01/2014 05:31

Morning ladies, I'm coming to tentatively join you, as it seems I'm having a baby!
This will be no 3 for us, with the others being 3 and a bit and 6.5 months Shock not quite what we had planned, but if you play with fire you might just get burnt! Only poas yesterday to prove to DH that I wasn't, I cried and luckily he laughed.
Bit anxious about it tbh, had my 2nd section last time, so this will def be a section, and I'm not very good at being pregnant, I've had severe early onset PET, SPD and GD before so I'm wondering what I can add to that lot, but at the same time I'm quite excited, but 2 under 2, aahhhhh, anyone else expecting another with a small age gap, or got a small age gap with some reassurance.
Right off to feed no 2 now, I'm up for the day!

KitKat1985 · 12/01/2014 06:19

Welcome BooSurprise. Nice to have you with us!

This morning sickness really is a rough ride. Off to work in 2 mins but trying to force down some dry biscuits first. Will speak to boss tomorrow about these long shifts. I can't do them. The one I did on Tues nearly killed me and I feel worse today. This means I'll have done 52 and a half hours this week. It's not really optional either (my boss just gives me extra shifts because of the permanent short-staffing). Will tell her Monday I can't do this anymore. To answer your question Dear Dinah I work as a nurse in the NHS and the ward I'm in is mega busy. Fingers I'll at least get time for a break today! And up again for work at 5.30am tomorrow. Ugh.....

Hope everyone else has a lovely Sunday, and the morning sickness isn't too bad for everyone today. xxx

Sleepisf0rwimps · 12/01/2014 07:19

Ergh, kitkat I so feel for you. Had HG last time around and could barely lift my head off my pillow, let alone get to work. You're doing great! Definitely think a chat with the boos is needed though.

Welcome boosurprise Oh to have been a fly on the wall at that poAs. Shock So glad you have a supportive oh. I'm sure you will come around to the idea soon. Smile when is your EDD?

Oooh, waffles. I need me a cheese toastie.

I had a really odd thing happen last night. I was laying in bed and drifting off when I felt a 'pop' sensation 'down there'. Exactly how it felt when my waters went last time. Then I felt a mini gush. I was convinced it was blood and I was mc. Sad I waddled to the toilet, but, nothing. I don't know if it was a bit of wee (nice) but what on earth was the popping sensation?! It was an awful feeling, thinking it was over. I'm hoping everything is okay in there. Sad

Sleepisf0rwimps · 12/01/2014 07:20

*boss

bugoven · 12/01/2014 07:52

sleep I've had that too. Was at work one time and rushed to the loo to find nothing of any importance at all.
I reckon it's from everything stretching and moving and maybe making air pockets or something. Very srange feeling.

isitme1 · 12/01/2014 08:32

Lol@baby wants orange juice Grin
We had cheese toasties for dinner yesterday.

Sleep could it have been a bit of trapped wind? As you probably know the its most likely to have been wee aas there's more pressure on your bladder.

Im always tired. I had a horrible dream the other day bout c section :(

on a more positive note I have my first proper ante natal check at the hospital on the 21st! Seems so quick.

Waffles so will you be seen at st marys too?

Boo by the sounds of it our kids are almost the same age!! We weren't planning another so quick due to the other 2s health problems. But hey ho. This will be my 1st section though. They offered it last time and I said oh no it cant happen twice. Obviously it did!
My eldest is 3 and a bit, youngest is 6months!
