Didn't mention the sickness kicking in.
Which I didn't have with previous dc
:(

xxmissbrightsidexx · 12/01/2014 09:01

Can I join in, I posted on the other thread but saw that you'd all moved to this one x got two bfp's yesterday, but my anxiety is taking over and I can't help feeling it's going to go wrong. Help xx

Sleepisf0rwimps · 12/01/2014 09:11

bugoven glad it's not just me. I don't think it was wind itsme as it felt like I was pinged by an elastic band. It was the strangest feeling. Could well be moving and stretching though am still very early on. I'm sure it'll work out fine. It's odd feeling like a first timer even though I've been through it before. Wink

Welcome brightside how many dpo are you? Try to stay calm, especially if you've no reason or signs for it going 'wrong'. It's a worrying business this baby making! We are all in the same boat. Thanks

marie1w · 12/01/2014 09:13

Ive been feeling like that for the week since I found out missbrightside but am starting to get used to the symptoms and had a chat with my mom, she told me to enjoy it or I will regret spending so much time worrying after pregnancy!

isitme1 · 12/01/2014 09:27

Glad its not worrying you too much sleep

welcome brightside. As far as im aware (and this is 3rd pregnancy for me) all the worrying that something will go wrong is kinda normal. Plus almost everyone on the thread has had similar concerns so I know ita easier said than done but please try and not worry so much like marie said you will regret not enjoying this time.

I think thw worry subsides a bit oncw youve seen bean on scan

aaah dreadful post. Sorry about all the typos
x

(whispers) morning ladies,

I am not at all well Sad We went out yesterday for about an hour or so and I was desperate to get home, I was having sharp pains. I went to bed at 3pm and slept until 3am when I woke with such bad pain I figured that this is it, the beginning of the end. It went off and I had to sit eating rich tea biscuits with water in bed with a mouth like sandpaper. I feel sooo sick, and I have to keep eating but I don't like food so I have to force it down. every morning I have to dash to he loo with an upset stomach. Im only 6 weeks today and Im feeling so very sorry for myself, I can barely move due to aches, pains nausea whaaaaaaa

sorry for the moan, I know im not the only one!

rockin20s · 12/01/2014 10:01

Don't have many symptoms at the mo.
Was very tired last week had to have a mid day nap now I seem fine after only 7 house sleep last night. The hunger comes and goes but no real nausea unless I get really hungry. I had sore boobs for two days now that's gone too.

The only real symptom I seem to have is cramping which comes and goes too.

As much as I don't want morning sickness it would at least give me some reassurance that I'm still pregnant

broodylicious · 12/01/2014 10:15

rockin re your post about your mil buying loads - totally get you! My mil is exactly the same. It's nice that she spends her pension on us and dd but it's like she can't possibly come over or even see us unless she comes bearing gifts. DH's brother has actually said something to her about it because his dd had worked out that if she says "my friend has this/that/the other", grandma will turn up with one the next time. I'm truly grateful for the thought and I know it does sound a bit nasty but it's like, we are 35, do you think we can't buy our own stuff?! It's not like she's buying one off pieces or bargains she's seen in the sale either! Mothers eh? Who'd have em?! Wink

rockin20s · 12/01/2014 10:19

Oh Ya I have to be so careful what I say around her in case she goes off and buys it. So far we have only refused one present, a drinks trolley on wheels, it was awful but thankfully big enough for us to say we don't have the space for it.

When she buys small things I can't refuse them without looking like a cow

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 10:20

Morning ladies!!

Rockin I am exactly the same. If I didn't keep on poas to check, I'd swear I'd dreamt it. No symptoms for me apart from niggling boobs, titedness and bad skin. No nausea, sickness etc Hmm is it true that your pregnancy will be similar to your mums? My mum has no stretch marks and didn't have a whiff of nausea either. Someone once told me years ago that I would probably be similar, is this true? I'm 6 weeks today...

Whiteblossom, I really hope you're starting to feel better. I had pains Thursday night a and Friday, and it freaked me out so much I rang maternity services who put me through to on call midwife. She reassured me that it all sounded normal (I described the pain in great detail!) and it was just everything stretching. Needless to say, all pain stopped and I felt a bit silly. But so glad I checked with her. Could you maybe ring your midwife and get some reassurance? X

I'm not sure if I've already posted about this (so sorry if I already have) but I've got my booking in appointment on Thursday - it says appointment will be an hour and a half!!! What on earth do they do during the app? Could you maybe help with that waffles? Or anyone else who's expecting their second/third? Xx

isitme1 · 12/01/2014 10:39

My mil buys us lot clothes. Shes in a different country and can hardly afford it but its a nice gesture.

Bex it takea a while as they go through your and oh history. Its all questions and then its bloods and sometimes even a scan lol. They have to start filling in maternity notes the ones you have throughout the pregnancy.

They do weight shit and height and all the do you smoke or drink or other kinda of thing

Hth

isitme1 · 12/01/2014 10:39

Ps experience from 2 other dc
this is 3rd

broodylicious · 12/01/2014 10:43

Wow bex an hr and a half?! Gosh, I don't think mine was that long first time round! I hope it won't be this time either because we are taking dd with us and there is no way on earth she will comply for that long!! As I remember it, it's form filling - your medical background, any family history, where you'd like to have baby (so they can send off for a scan appt at that particular hospital), blood pressure and maybe blood taking. Dh went with me last time and got pretty much ignored so i think he's only saying he will come this time to keep me company. I'm going to check with my docs now how long they've allocated because if dd is there kicking up a fuss, my BP will be through the roof!!

topmammy · 12/01/2014 10:44

I think it takes that long Bex because there is paperwork to fill in, your medical history, your partner's history, both your family's medical history, your weight, not sure if they also take some blood too. And probably other things that waffles can tell us about!

broodylicious · 12/01/2014 10:47

tip for first timers - this is waaaaaay early but I just thought of it reading about note taking - once you've had baby, you'll be seen by your mw for a few days afterwards but then they sign you over to a hv. When they do the sign off, they take all of your notes from you (including the ones from your birth) so, if like us, you want to keep everything for lo's memory box/keepsakes etc, don't forget to photocopy them before your last visit from the mw.

Choccywoccydodah · 12/01/2014 10:55

Second what broody just said about the notes. I didn't know they took them, I was absolutely gutted when she did :( So definitely take photocopies.

My booking with ds took about an hour and a half. The mw came to our house though so it was fabulous (in Wales at the time). Now we're back in the midlands we have to go in Shock Haven't booked mine yet, want to get through this week then I'll start believing it. Wednesday is my target day ATM. I'll book it Friday if everything is ok.
Been looking at my notes from the last 2 months when I had my chems and I didn't feel sick, if anything my appetite increased so am really hoping this is a good sign!

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 10:58

Holy moly, best having a sleep before I go then, an hour and a half without a doze seems an impossible task at the moment!!! DH says he will come with me, although he was peeved when he saw that the appointment was 1.5 hours long...shall I let him off the hook? Does he need to be there? I guess he kind of does, cos I have no clue about his family history...Blush

My mil also fills everybody else's house up with shit. Her house looks like a bombs gone off. Literally. I actually pre warned her about this a few years ago, and told her that any oversized, cheap crap that we don't want, she can have back lol. She once bought our 5 year old nephew a snooker table. A bloody snooker table. Knowing full well that at the time he lived with his parents (of course) in a 2 up 2 down terraced house. Where the frig she was supposed to put it was beyond me!

Purple37 · 12/01/2014 10:59

Morning ladies, am totally confused here. Have been having spotting on and off now since Thursday, not enough to ever fill a pad, no clots, no pain. This is at the time I would've been on my period. Had nothing at all for 12 hours but then have spotted again this morning. Just did a cheapie test and its still strong positive but it would be anyway wouldn't it even if it was going wrong? Had a mmc at 11 weeks in July and I just want to know one way or the other.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 12/01/2014 11:00

This is my third but with finding out so early this time, I can't help but panic. I suffer with depression and anxiety too [untreated], which really doesn't help things x Nice to meet you all ladies xx

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 11:01

Choccy do you mind me asking a personal question? When you sadly suffered chems last time, at what point did AF arrive? I only ask because what you just said about appetite increasing and not feeling sick has freaked me a little, as that's how I feel...AF was due for me on 27th December...

So sorry if this is not an appropriate question to ask BlushHmm xxx

Choccywoccydodah · 12/01/2014 11:06

Bex your dh will need to be there as they have a column for your fam and a column for his.

Oh shit shit shit shit, so sorry I freaked you out! Everyone is totally different! I'm only saying that because of my personal experience. My af came on days 30 and 31 (15 and 16 dpo). I am 14 dpo today hence Wednesday is the furthest I would have been.
Pleeeeeeeeease don't worry and I apologise profusely if I have worried anyone else!!
