I'm really sorry snowpink Thanks

On the train for an overnight work stay. I really don't want to go! At lunch time today my sandwich made me feel sick and I'm worried ms is kicking in and I'll be alone and away from home (fear of vomiting here, it's great in pregnancy Hmm )

have two bottles of ginger beer but I'm too scared to eat...But I know eating will help. Argh I'm such a loser!!

Just need to get through tonight and tomorrow and then it'll be ok...No more trips, no more alone bed times.

Yes I am an adult!

fifi669 · 28/11/2013 18:56

snowpink Sad

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/11/2013 19:08

teaandkittens - you'll be fine. It is hard, I'm not quite at the fear of being sick level but I do really, really hate it. You can do this. Sipping the ginger should help. Hope it goes well.

insideout · 28/11/2013 19:25

Hello can I join please went to the dr this morning s I have been unwell. Was convinced I was not pregnant as I had the coil! Nope its gone! So I am either 5 weeks or 9 weeks , final year at uni, getting married in october. 2014 is goning to be a crazy year. On the plus side fiance is thrilled!

mummystein · 28/11/2013 19:28

Teaandkittens - try and nibble on some ginger biscuits and just to ease the worry of being sick on a train just take a little bag or something just encase. If you have to be sick then your ready for it. Its difficult but you will get through it.

I had to take today off work because I felt way way to sick and dizzy to go in. You have to look after yourself and your little bean. Good luck xx

teaandkittens · 28/11/2013 19:47

Thanks doctor and mummy Nice reassuring names!!

I am nearly in London now just need to get to my hotel and then i can think about what to eat. Maybe I'll get room service and watch TV in bed! trying to view tonight as a treat rather than a struggle lol but I'm not convincing myself.

At least I'm well prepared-two bottles of ginger beer, polo mints, some plain hula hoops and two packs ginger biscuits! MS is not going to get me lol.

AuntieMaggie · 28/11/2013 19:51

teaandkittens what do you do?

Bland carbs and diet coke have been my friends when feeling queasy which happens when I'm hungry atm

mummystein · 28/11/2013 20:03

That sounds like a plan. Room service and tv in bed. .... I wonder if I can get that kinda service at home from the hubby hehe x

Babymamatobe · 28/11/2013 20:19

Well today I got my booking in appt (31st Dec) and my scan (14th Jan) too excited now!!!!

mummystein · 28/11/2013 20:38

When are you due. I'm on the 14th July. Should I be thinking about a booking in appointment??

Babymamatobe · 28/11/2013 20:40

I'm due 27th July. I got my pg confirmed with my GP and they've done the rest for me.

fifi669 · 28/11/2013 20:48

mummystein I'm due 10th and have my booking in appointment tomorrow....

coco808 · 28/11/2013 20:50

so sorry snowpink please look after yourself Flowers

coco808 · 28/11/2013 20:51

thanks for all the maternity clothes update! I'm dreading what to wear for the work christmas party that doesn't show my bloated belly! Any ideas???

MrsB2013 · 28/11/2013 21:24

So sorry Snowpink :(

teaandkittens · 28/11/2013 21:32

auntie can't say cos I'm paranoid someone will recognise me and I haven't told anyone I'm pg yet!! It's not exciting though lol.

I'm in my hotel room, cried on phone to dh, manned up and have ordered chicken burger and chips to my room...nice and bland!

Just wish there was something decent on Tv...I'm watching the lovely ottolenghi but tbh food progs aren't really my thing at the mo.

Oh and to whoever asked about booking appointments (sorry can't see on phone) my surgery do them at 9 weeks. mines on the 16th exciting

Just caught up with everything!!

Hayley and Doctor I hope your next scans show healthy little beans for you both Flowers

Jaykay that's so annoying with the maternity clothes! How can a clothes shop have no changing rooms?! I'm not looking forward to shopping for new clothes, I find it hard anyway as I'm usually between sizes.

I'm going to ring my local hospital tomorrow and if they have my notes I should be able to book my scan! Still trying to decide on having the Harmony test done, DH thinks we should wait till after the NHS scan and see what the results are Hmm

Hope the sickness disappears soon for those suffering!!

PintandChips · 28/11/2013 21:57

Hello!
Can i get on this bus? Due 1 July - am 9+3. Already have 1 7yo DS and am 43... any other oldies on here?
Thinking about getting that Harmony bloodtest as am so ancient but should i wait until after 12 week screening to see those results?
Didn't worry about this stuff at all with the last one.
Also, i hate everyone and cry all the time, is that normal?
Pint.

jaykay987 · 29/11/2013 06:19

Snow - so sorry to hear your news. Hope you have the support you need. Look after yourself.
Coco - lots of nice dresses around that either have the swirl of material at the hip that hide a multiple of sins! Also the skater style dresses strut out at the waist - that I think make the smallest girl look pregnant! So when I see someone in one of those I always think......that dress makes her look pregnant ( and mentally note to avoid that style) - I never actually think they might be! Grin
Pint - I'm booked in for Harmony at 10w. We were going to wait til 12w scan first, but fmc offer a discount if you go between 10w-10w+6. Not sure if you're in London, but this convinced USO do it early plus it fit better with my impatience as I still haven't got my nhs can date through

Mrsb - thanks for the list. You are much better at updating than the rest of us! Smile
Tea - hope your chicken burger was good and your night was ok. I hate being in a hotel alone (I do it a lot for work) and have only done three sequential nights since my BFP and found it horrendous. So I hope you're ok, and get through the day and home ASAP!

jaykay987 · 29/11/2013 06:20

USO = us to!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 29/11/2013 06:35

Went to bed at half 7 last night. Still feel like I need to spend the day in bed. But, it's a full teaching day with 3 exam classes so off I go!

mummystein · 29/11/2013 06:38

Bit worried this morning. I've woken up and feel. ..... fine. No morning sickness.... boobs dont hurt as much either. I felt so so I'll yesterday. ... Now this. I am hoping that this isn't a bad sign :(

Pearlsaplenty · 29/11/2013 06:38

ismarah I hope you're feeling better today!

coco I think it depends on your body shape, you need to try and balance out the bump iykwim, so I find shorter skirts work for me. My boobs don't seen to grow much in pregnancy so I found wearing a push-up bra/chicken fillets helps to balance me out well in early pregnancy. Definitely nothing fitted.

I had thought I had seen the end of the ms, but no nausea + vomiting has returned today, hopefully it settles down for the rest of the day. I'm still having issues on/off with diarrhoea, yesterday I had to run to the toilets and left my shopping trolley behind mid-shop! Blush

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 29/11/2013 07:10

pearl

what's ms?

pint I'll be 40 next August - is that oldie enough for you?Grin
I'll be in the high risk care unit when giving birth (various reasons) - hope that makes you feel better.
