Oh my goodness justhayley that us exciting! My fingers are crossed that you get 2 healthy heartbeats next time!!:)

justhayley · 27/11/2013 08:58

Thanks girls. I'm going to spend the nx two weeks worrying somethings happened to twin2, and If it's lovely & healthy will spend the next 7 months worrying about how the hell I'll manage with twins and a then 2.3y old lol.

justhayley · 27/11/2013 08:59

Doctor - the GP sorted out my exemption form yesterday. With DS the MW did it after my 12 week scan I think.
Good luck today xx

BlueC2 · 27/11/2013 10:12

tanny so sorry to hear your news

justhayley hope all stays well with twin2

doctor glad you've got appointments sorted now

Well I am exhausted now had 3 broken nights up with DS who is full of cold. He keeps coughing with all mucus running down back of his throat poor thing and last night was sick in bed. DH was out babysitting for a friend and I had just fallen asleep so i had to get up and sort him out. He's so grizzly today doesn't know what to do with himself. DH has taken day off to help but ill DS is such a mummy's boy so I'm still not getting much rest. Just so tired and nauseous! Ugh!

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 27/11/2013 11:26

hayley

exciting and scary news for you, fx crossed for two healthy babies.

On the side I just want to mention that my SIL had two yolk sacs on one early scan, but the follow up scan only showed one baby - the other sac simply disappeared. when this happens it's called a "vanishing twin" and it shouldn't effect the surviving twin
SIL had a healthy daughter.

I hope this eases your worries, but as nothing is confirmed yet let's hope for the best!

AuntieMaggie · 27/11/2013 11:44

I am so tired today. I didn't get home til 10 last night and was back in work at 7 :(

I don't feel pregnant at all really today - I just want my scan so I can have it confirmed.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 27/11/2013 11:50

Well. I'm limbo for the next 9 days. Scan showed not as far along as I thought and couldn't see anything in the sacHmm
Trying not to worry and thinking it's just too early but have scan at EPU next Friday.
Feeling very insecure right now.

fifi669 · 27/11/2013 13:43

Hope everyone gets the news they're hoping for!

I've booked myself in for a scan Sunday, I'll be 8+3. I'd love twins! 1 in 70 chance I read somewhere....

Need some reassurance hence the scan. Practically convinced myself it was an ectopic pregnancy yesterday due to a one sided pain, nausea, light headedness etc. of course all the panicking meant I had a accelerated heart rate too! Was fine a few hours later.

Roll on Sunday!

DinkyMole · 27/11/2013 13:46

Donna, sorry to hear that Sad fx everything is actually okay and that the next 9 days go as quickly as possible.

Sparky321 · 27/11/2013 16:21

Doctor everything crossed for you here. And also hope the next 9 days go as quickly as possible.

Just got hold of a midwife to make my booking in appointment 23th dec which according to my dates and the scan on Monday makes me 11 weeks she insisted that I was only 10 !!!

I'm sure in the scheme of things this doesn't matter but I've found it really annoying as we don't all have 28 day cycles ( rant over )

Sparky321 · 27/11/2013 16:22
  • I mean I will be 11 weeks on the 23/12 not that I am now !
liquidstate · 27/11/2013 16:33

Well the secret is out. I just projectile vomited over the floor at the MILs...

Sparky321 · 27/11/2013 16:40

Oh dear liquid hope you feel better now x

LemonLovely · 27/11/2013 17:13

liquidstate sounds horrendous, but top marks for dramatic reveal!

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 27/11/2013 18:47

liquid

FlyLikeABird · 27/11/2013 19:26

Hello, can I join Smile, got my BFP last Wednesday and all being well expecting baby number 2 approx 27th July.

Wishing everyone a smooth ride to July 2014!

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 27/11/2013 19:38

Fly

welcome! and that's my DS1's birthday!

FlyLikeABird · 27/11/2013 20:09

A good date then. It would be lovely to have a baby on its due date Grin rocks in the corner at the memory of being 12 days overdue last time

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 27/11/2013 20:26

Welcome Fly and the other newcomers.

Liquid that's a great way of revealing your news Grin. Hope you are feeling ok now.

Doctor hope that the next scan is good news. Try not to stress too much over the next nine days.

Hayley that's exciting news! Fingers crossed that the next scan will show two healthy babies.

I went for my first midwife appointment yesterday. I'm not in the UK so don't panic at what I'm about to say! I repeat, I am not in the UK! I know the system here so I was expecting an internal exam but I wasn't expecting a bonus smear test at the same time. Hmm Fortunately I didn't get the breast examination that is also quite popular here at the first appointment!

Midwife gave my due date as 1st July but I'll wait until after my scan in a couple of weeks to put my official date because I think I conceived late - I only got a BFP when AF was a week late.

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 27/11/2013 21:21

Fly

I know, I'd like one on its due date.Smile
all of mine were late (DS2 wins with being 14 days over) - except for DS4 who was very last minute ELSC and only 5 days early!

coco808 · 27/11/2013 21:55

justhayley how exciting....good luck Grin that would be quite a news for your DH when he return

donna did they say how far along you were?

welcome fly

liquid that made me lol...bless you!

justhayley · 27/11/2013 22:06

Thanks everyone Smile

Hi Fly,
You decided to take the plunge over here then Grin how you feeling?

Doctor let's hold hands for the next week & a half, it's such a scary & long time. Hope everything turns out well for you.

Haha great way to announce pregnancy, I'd like to vomit on my MIL but that's another story lol.

I told my mum today. Wasn't planning on just yet, but was chatting away to her on the phone and it just came out. She was ridiculously excited, she actually asked if me, DP & DS want to move in when/if the twins come ........ Er no, love my mum but Jesus Christ I'd have to have 8 babies and 10 dogs before I considered that one lol.

jaykay987 · 27/11/2013 22:21

FX doctor. Hopefully you're just much earlier than you first thought.

jaykay987 · 28/11/2013 06:09

So I decided to purchase some maternity jeans and work trousers so I can feel a bit more comfortable. I'm still going from days my trousers are big, to days they can't do up, so it's only bloat (I'm only 8w+5).

Having established no one stocks them, I opted to do a big next delivery to store in a variety of sizes, so I could try on and return the remainder immediately.

I think I am finally losing the plot!

I managed to get them delivered to a store with no changing rooms! I then get it all home - open it up and Id ordered one pair of work trousers and 9 - YES NINE! - pairs of jeans!!!!!

Seriously - what mental state was I in when I did that?!

On the plus side, work trousers fitted. Unfortunately Id ordered 5 pairs of jeans, four in two sizes, and the fifth in one size. You guessed it - the best ones were the ones that Id only got in one size - but I need the other size. Happy I found something though.

If anyone else starts looking - I cannot believe Ive had to go get them so early - the side panel next jeans are nice and look like 'real' jeans. The ones with an expandable band all the way round are more like joggers in jean material and look sack like. I had to go down a size to normal as they came up big. They have lots of adjustable bits inside though, as well as the elastic panels, so hopefully they'll last me for a good while. Main negative is the front pockets are all fake. No idea why. Quite annoying.

jaykay987 · 28/11/2013 06:11

.....and another thing.....

If I'm already going to be in mat clothes already (albeit part time whilst my bloat goes up and down) I have no idea how I think I'm going to get away with hiding this tummy from work until mid feb! DH thinks I'm delusional and bonkers! Grin
