Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/11/2013 07:16

Sad woke up with nausea. Nothing in the house I want for breakfast. Told the ILs and DH's sister last night - they are hugely excited. Scan tomorrow, then we can start telling people.

DinkyMole · 26/11/2013 07:49

Ismarah I'd have thought the heat pads would be fine - similar to using a hot water bottle really. Definitely no ibuprofen though. Paracetamol is okay.

I'm sort of bouncing between the two buses - LMP puts me as 25th July but fairly sure scan will put me as August. Got booking in on 17th December and we've found somewhere that does early scans for £60 so we'll do that just before Xmas.

Nausea started the last couple of days - joy!

jaykay987 · 26/11/2013 08:03

That's exciting doctor. I'm jealous - as although have had a scan, we are waiting til my ten week scan until we tell anyone. I am bursting to talk! Grin
So two weeks today I have a scan and two weeks 5 days til we tell PIL. So 3w 5 days til we tell my dad, and no idea how long I'll have to wait to see my mother (mid January maybe?)......so no idea how long I'll have to wait until I tell my friends! Grin. Agggghhhhhh!

Anyone got anything exciting happening today? I've spent the last three hours trying not to be sick.....I'm now going to be seriously late for work......urgh. (I really must stop being on mn so much! Grin)

ismarah · 26/11/2013 08:24

I solved the whole needing ibuprofen thing by going to sleep at 11. Seems to have done the trick for bow.

It's my FILs birthday soon and I really wanted us to get him a card that says Happy Birthday Grandad on the outside and write inside it 'look forward to meeting you in July, love Bean'. DH isn't entirely up for it...
(DH is an only child - and I'm the eldest in my family so our bean will be the first grandchikd for all. Gulp.)

All you people straddling buses are making me worry. It's only my calculations that suggest July 5th as EDD, and I've been thinking weeeellll, it's a first, firsts are always late. Except they're not always. But am sticking here I think, no June bus visits for me. #loyalty #lazy

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 26/11/2013 08:45

nose bleeds have arrived. lucky me

justhayley · 26/11/2013 09:18

Grin yay managed to get a GP appointment for today.
Called to get an emergency appointment - first they refused, then I stropped, & then put on my I'm almost ready to cry voice, and theyv said they won't give me an emergency appointment, but will slot me in at the end of the midday surgery as an extra, but the non-appointment will have to be quick. They can call it what ever they like as long as I get in lol.
Hopefully I'll get a referral for an early scan Smile

Pearlsaplenty · 26/11/2013 09:22

I just realised that I'm now a few days past 9 weeks, looked online an apparently bean is now a fetus and 3 cms long!! Where did that time go, last time I looked it up it was around 3 mms!! Confused so strange to think that in 2.5 weeks I'll be into 2nd trimester!

justhayley · 26/11/2013 09:23

Iv only told my friend, I was meeting her the morning I POAS & she was really supportive through my MC, & has experienced pregnancy after MC so I couldn't keep it in. I actually havnt even told DP yet ssshhhhh lol. Hes away with work at the moment & won't be Home till next week. I really want to tell him to his face not over the phone but not sure I can hold it in much longer, feel like I'm ready to pop everytime I speak to him. Dying to tell my mum but not telling anyone else until DP knows.

jaykay987 · 26/11/2013 09:45

Pearl - that's exciting! 2.5 weeks? That's fast!

Hayley - I had the same dilemma. DP was away - so I had to wait forever -4 days- to tell him face to face. So I don't envy you having to wait longer.
Great news you've got into the doctor.

Pearlsaplenty · 26/11/2013 09:55

justhayley great news with appointment! I can't believe you've managed to keep it a secret for dh so long!!

jaykay I know it has gone so quick all of a sudden!

fifi669 · 26/11/2013 10:54

My EDD is the 10th, anyone else around there got their scan date? I'm trying to see if I'll be before/after Christmas....

tannyLoo72 · 26/11/2013 11:05

Hi, please take me off the list, it seems I was unfortunately right not to get too excited. I have an ectopic or an unviable pregnancy, which should end soon. I've had a crap few days, but have plenty of support from the RMC thread.

Wishing you all the best for the remainder of your pregnancies. Enjoy every symptom and relish in the knowledge that your body is doing a miraculous thing!

LadyGoneGaga · 26/11/2013 11:15

Tannyloo I am so, so sorry, you have so been through it these past months and I was really hoping this one was sticky. I hope they can deal with the ectopic quickly and it's not caused any damage. Thinking of you Thanks

tanny - so sorry to hear that. I hope you have the help and support that you need.

fifi - I'm due 5th. MW informed me my nhs would be schedule between chrsitmas and new year, or the first week of Jan. SO I would expect yours to definitely be after. As the nuchal has a window between 11.5-13.5 weeks - they seem to book them later rather than earlier than 12 weeks. Though I guess every hospital is different, and with the christmas period - it may be different to any other time of year. I haven;t got my scan date confirmed yet though - so we'll see.

mg - that's great news. FX everything is ok through the xmas period

sarlyn · 26/11/2013 12:06

Hope there's room for another one! Due on the 12th of July with our first. Just got the dates for booking in (17th Dec) and scan (23rd Dec). So glad it's before Christmas!

Good luck to everyone else! Grin

justhayley · 26/11/2013 13:31

Hiya so sorry Tanny Sad hope you have lots of RL people and support around you Thanks

Iv just been to the GP it was SO rushed, I wasn't even asked to wee in a pot nothing. All he said was he wont recommend me for an early scan as I'm of good age and previous MC was just one of those things. He said i i really feel like i need one then ill have to pursuade the MW when i get an appointment. Went through some paperwork and will be in the system for MW to contact me now. Kinda pointless really.

Anyway I couldn't stand it so iv booked myself in for a private scan at 2pm. I doubt I'll see a HB so probably should have waited a week but just desperate to see why ever I should be seeing at 6+1 weeks

So nervous - fingers crossed

snowpink · 26/11/2013 13:44

I'm sorry Tanny, this must be such a difficult time for you

jaykay987 · 26/11/2013 13:45

good luck Hayley.

Fingers crossed you'll see a heartbeat. Not always expected...but I was lucky enough to see one at 5w+6.

FX for you - let us know how you get on!

snowpink · 26/11/2013 13:47

I had a tiny bleed yesterday so went for a scan. Too early for a heartbeat unfortunately but yolk sac was good and in the right place. They backdated me from 6+4 to 5+4 (they did this with the others as well. Is it because I ovulate later than normal?)
Next scan is 23.12. So I hope it's good news then so it won't ruin Christmas...

My new due date is 21.7.

jaykay987 · 26/11/2013 14:16

snowpink - that sounds promising.

I went from 7ws to 5w+6 at my early scan. I knew I had ovulated late, but their dates put me back even further than I had thought. She explained it to me that if it implanted say three days after ov then it would be even further back. SO you might have only ovulated 2/3 days later than expected, but together with a lengthened implantation time one week movement at this stage is not unusual.

liquidstate · 26/11/2013 14:44

I had first nosebleed in donkeys years this morning. Just off for the first midwife appointment. Am on anti sick tablets but still being sick so may ask for another week off.

Will make a decision re private 11 week scan after chatting to midwife. Everything so complicated because of Christmas. Confused

MrsKate · 26/11/2013 15:50

Hi girls I got a bfp this morning hopefully due 27th July I'm 5+2 this is 2 year in the making I have a 3 and a half year old ds GrinGrinGrin

DinkyMole · 26/11/2013 16:02

I know the clearblue indicator is highly unreliable, but has anyone had similar to this -
Last Tuesday 11dpo: not pregnant
Last Thursday 13dpo: pregnant 1-2 weeks
Today 18dpo: pregnant 3+

Is that not a little fast?

jaykay987 · 26/11/2013 16:19

I wouldn't read anything into it Dinky.

I got 1-2w on dpo16, 2-3 dpo 20 and have never got a 3+. (although only let myself try twice as they are soooo expensive
