go in chelsea it's always better to go in and be told it's nothing than for anything bad to happen.

hope everyone in bad moods today cheers up. I was in a horrible mood yesterday but woken up in a better mood today. Well that was until I went to make tea and instead of being a sane person and pouring boiling water into the cup I poured the water all over the kitchen side and my bare foot. No idea why and now I have to go to the walk in centre to get them to look at my foot because I am a mental person.

NomDeClavier · 07/11/2013 11:34

chelsea if you've not already gone then go!

meandbumpy · 07/11/2013 11:45

Oh Chelsea best to still go in and get checked, just to be on the safe side. Hope you're feeling ok about things, I think Frouby makes a very good point about it being easier on your own than with someone who's not interested or helpful.
Don't worry about anyone judging you either, they're not worth it and I think sometimes people just don't think about the things they say. I look young for my age and a few people have commented on me being too young to have a baby, then found out my actual age and said things like 'oh well that's ok then' What a stupid attitude to take and how insulting that they think it's ok to give me permission/consent to have a child. It is absolutely none of their business and I really think people come out with these idiotic comments because they can't think of anything better to say.

Thanks for the support Alyssa. I've come to a compromise with sleeping position and currently wedging a pillow under my bum so that the bump is tipped over a bit and not fully resting on my spine. Then I twist my shoulders over so that they're lying flat on the bed. So bottom half I'm on my side and top half I'm on my back, it's a bit like sleep yoga but is helping and eases the guilt!

Hope everyone's having a good day and feeling well x

Alyssa1978 · 07/11/2013 12:02

No problem meand its awful and I really wish baby would come now as its getting me down now.

chelsea if you haven't yet go in, your water could've gone and the discharge and blood you mentioned sounds like the blood show you get when your mucus plug fully goes right before labour Hun.
Let us know how you get on xx

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 12:29

chelsea sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. And I agree with Alyssa- sounds like your mucus plug (show) might have come out (can have mucus and streaks of blood/pink in it) how many weeks are you? Good luck as hope all is ok.

Went to docs today about SPD. She said basically my much I can do about it- could refer me for physio but with the waiting list it's probably not worth it. Also had a look at my boobs- now I have more than 2 lumps but she said that is good if there's lots -less likely to be anything to worry about. But of course now I'm worried! Have to wait for hosp to call with appointment for an ultrasound to look at them.

Anyone else suffering with SPD? Any advice on what to do or not to do? Doc was pretty useless and didn't suggest anything

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 12:52

ok just found some advice from NHS website - here are the things to avoid if you have pelvic pain:

standing on one leg
bending and twisting to lift, or carrying a baby on one hip
crossing your legs
sitting on the floor, or sitting twisted
sitting or standing for long periods
lifting heavy weights, such as shopping bags, wet washing or a toddler
vacuuming
pushing heavy objects, such as a supermarket trolley
carrying anything in only one hand (try using a small backpack)

ha ha! So I have to find someone else to do the food shopping, washing, cleaning, vacuuming, picking my kids up?

Advice is great, but it's so not realistic. sigh.

WhisperMen · 07/11/2013 13:43

do you often stand on one leg? Does anybody stand on one leg ever? are you allowed to carry a cup of tea in one hand, or do you have to use two? What funny guidelines.

Those guidelines are for a perfect world scenarios Grin

Kitten3 · 07/11/2013 14:36

Chelsea- most definitely get to hospital. Hope you are ok. Deep breaths and relax if you can. X

beth27123 · 07/11/2013 15:03

Hope all you ladies suffering get some comfort soon!
whisper I hop around all day, I thought that was normal?
Just had to call my local midwife to enquire about the itching around my wrists and ankles, suppose I should feel comforted they weren't too interested? Sounded like she couldn't wait to get me off the phone!
Chelsea I hope you're okay, thinking of you and your little one.

itsliz · 07/11/2013 15:21

Wow, lots of posts to catch up on today!

So sorry if I've made anyone panic with my list of baby stuff - If it's any consolation, I'm not normally this organised Grin
I think it's just a combination of being bought new things by various family members, having people offer us tonnes of their babies' old clothes and having too much time on my hands to wander round the shops and find cute things what with being off of work since September!

I've still got the sniffles and can't stop coughing, but I feel like I'm on a roll today - took a slow stroll to the doctor's for my whooping cough jab, stopped at Starbucks for hot chocolate and cake (we had no food in for breakfast so it was allowed...!) phoned my mum, did some food shopping, got my Amazon order of 2 big boxes of nappies and packed them away and washed a tonne of baby clothes/ blankets/ sheets etc.
If only every day could be this productive!

MrsShrubs I don't think I've felt my little one hiccup at all yet. Don't know if that's normal, but I'm a bit disappointed! How can you tell when it's hiccups, is it obvious?

Chelsea I'm so, so sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. As everyone else has already said, although it's not easy you really are so much better off without him if he hasn't got the decency to stick around, let alone give you a good reason for buggering off.
Life will be so much easier now that you don't have to worry about him though, I promise. Other people and their opinions really don't matter at the moment - just focus on what's important for now and know that all of us on this thread are here to help and support you whenever you need us Smile
Hope you made it to the hospital and that everything is ok? Will be thinking of you.

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 15:40

its you will see of feel regular sudden movements- that might last a few minutes or longer. Sometimes when my baby gets hiccups and it's near my belly button you can see it moving up and down- so cute!

Chelsealady · 07/11/2013 16:18

Just had my tests back positive for early labour. Waiting for my steroid shot got to stay over night xx

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 16:25

Chelsea, how you feeling? Sorry can't find that stats thread so don't know how many weeks you are- I'm assuming early 30's if they're giving you a steroid shot? Try not to worry you're in the best hands and will be thinking of you.

Stom91 · 07/11/2013 16:31

chelsea how are you? Did you go to the hospital?

Roselau · 07/11/2013 16:32

chelsea I hope you went to the mw pronto!

wow I'm so sorry some of you have had some real douchebag in your lives. I was with an a-hole once, so in love so I didn't see it, but thankfully he broke up with me before it was too late. I was devastated at the time and with time you realise how much of a blessing it can be. Then DH and I found each other and the rest is history. we've been together for 10 years.

anyways liz yeah hiccups are really cute. they feel like little flutters but come rapidly and with a regular rhythm. I only started feeling them this week (33 weeks) because of my anterior placenta.

had a crazy day yesterday but managed to find a ton of things that we needed so I count it as a victory. I feel like such a housewife: he makes money, I spend money. haha. that's never happened to us, I've always been making at least as much or more than him, so it's so weird and takes some getting used to.
I was shattered when I got home. I went to pick up DP at the office at 7pm, and thankfully they had free pizza and he took some for the two of us. I know it's not healthy but I was so tired and thankful I didn't have to make dinner.
I have girlfriends coming to visit tomorrow I'm really excited! I don't know many people here, so I can get pretty bored... But I hope I wont get too exhausted following them around as they discover Los Angeles. I'm not complaining, but it's hot here! 20-25 degrees and the sun is really hot. but i'll take it over rainy and cold UK :)

Stom91 · 07/11/2013 16:32

Sorry X posted. Glad you ok. You're in the best place x

Roselau · 07/11/2013 16:39

sorry posted at the same time. keep us posted chelsea

Stom91 · 07/11/2013 16:42

So jealous of the sun rose Los Angeles sounds so glamorous lol very jealous. I'd love to go to America. My do lived in Detroit when he was 8 he said he loved it. Especially Halloween lol.

Really haven't done much today felt rubbish. Went to the bank and co op and jewlers (sp) I've bought dp a watch for Xmas and wanted to get it engraved but sadly it's got the complany that made it markings on the back so they can't do it. Completely gutted :(
My hospital bag is almost complete just need to get a dressing down and cheap slippers so go in it.
Then wash baby's clothes and then hers will be complete too :)
Made some pasta for lunch/dinner but when I say down to eat it didn't really want it. Urgh

tmi is anyone having weird poos? Sorry tmi but I went earlier and they're not quite runny like diarrhea just very soft and I Duno wasn't normal. Lol

Sorry to leave with that vision in your head lol.

PistachioTruffle · 07/11/2013 16:46

Hope you're oK Chelsea, glad you're being looked after Flowers

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 17:02

stom my bowels aren't always normal- I think they're a bit peturbed by the big baby squashing them so they're my always er solid. My worst problem ATM is wind/bloating. God. It's not enough that I feel huge, but I reckon there's a ton of air in there too! And worst of all (sorry if tmi!) it's noisy. I'm a bit of a prude when it comes to stuff like that- I don't like admitting to farting! Never I'm my life have they been noisy till now- so embarrassing and worst thing is blokes actually enjoy it think it makes them manly for some fooking reason but I'm not enjoying it one bit!

mumoftwoboysS · 07/11/2013 17:03

That should have said 'they're not always'

clare8allthepies · 07/11/2013 17:11

Hope everything is ok Chelsea are they keeping you in?

Just the opposite problem I'm afraid Stom, bloody iron tablets! Grin

Stom91 · 07/11/2013 17:13

I'm ok on the wind front. I find passing wind so embarrassing! Dp does it proudly all the time! Lol.

Glad it's nothing to worry about!

Featherbag · 07/11/2013 17:18

Oh chelsea you're really going through it! you poor thing. Let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you xxx

WhisperMen · 07/11/2013 17:19
